My parents have only been here a short time, but so far our experience has been a positive one. It's a nice looking place, and the staff seems friendly and professional.

I was very impressed with the Brookdale at Brushy Creek. It was clean, friendly and a home relaxing atmosphere. I appreciated all they had to offer, the fellow Andy did a great job in presenting what the had to offer! Very disappointed that I couldn't put my husband there, and that was due to the fact he needed skilled nursing. I'm glad there is the Brookdale Greenville, as that is where he was admitted to on 1-15-16! So far all seems to be well and I feel comfortable with it!

My mother currently lives at Grace Manor Suites. She loves it there and the staff are great!! There are always activities to keep her busy including exercising. They offer 2 meal choices at each meal along with a couple a la cart items she can choose from. They have a hairstylist there twice weekly for the residents to use and a house Doctor that comes twice a week. The place is beautifully decorated and kept very clean! Highly recommend if you are looking for an ALF for your parent.

Our experience with Brookdale Florence has been a very good one, overall! The facility is clean and well maintained, and they do a great job with the food! The staff is friendly and caring, and they do a great job looking out for the people who live here.

When I visited, everyone was happy and helpful. The residents were engaged with the workers and among themselves. Their calendar was packed with parties and classes and it felt like home. I hope I can get my family moved in soon!

Savannah Court and Cottage of Oviedo has proven a perfect fit for my mother-in-law's needs. A series of strokes left her unable to live on her own, but still well enough to not require skilled nursing. The staff at Savannah Court provide her with conscientious daily care for her personal needs and take the time to engage her in activities with the other residents and guest presenters. The rooms are clean and welcoming, and the care providers are friendly and gentle.

Emeritus at Laurel Gardens is in the remodel. The friendliness of the staff is a 10. Not long after my mother got there everyone was calling her by name. It was very impressive. No matter where I went in the facility, they all knew her by name. They have activities geared for the memory care residents, which I really appreciate. I felt like we got a lot of attention here. I am really pleased overall with this facility.

We just moved Mom and Dad to Horizon. The move has been very positive. The staff have gone out of there way to be welcoming. The facilities are beautiful and the food service is delicious.

They have definitely helped socialize my Mother. She has only been there about six weeks now and I have seen a significant improvement in her. So far, a great experience.

I am very grateful with the staff of this facility. My mother was recently at this Facility to do rehab on the Nursing Home side. I have to honestly say that I was very impressed and grateful with the staff helping my family and watching my mother in this difficult time. I was very concerned and scared when I found out that my mother was going to need rehab. I have often heard about the many horror stories about Healthcare facilities in general and of course, I wanted to do the best I can to in turn provide for the woman that raised me my whole life giving her the best and making sure she knew it. Well I think, thanks to Savannah Court of Maitland's staff I can rest easy in knowing that I did just that. Everyone at the facility from the nurses, CNAs to the activity staff, Therapy and even the Higher ups helped put me at ease, by taking such great care of my mother and attending to her needs making sure she felt safe, comfortable and apart of a family. All the staff for every single day I went whatever time of day I went had a smile on there face like they really enjoyed and loved there jobs. My mother truly had a wonderful time there she enjoyed the friendly and hardworking staff, the fun activities and the amount of respect she was treated with. In closing I have to say that the managers in charge are all doing a great job in the running of this facility. They were there for me every step of the way supporting me, encouraging me, keeping me informed and working with me to help my mother have the best experience possible and getting her better. I am very grateful for the people working in this facility and from the bottom of my heart I thank you.

Now Quillen Manor, very impressive!!

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. They are worth a look, if you're looking into senior living in the area.

Our experience has been good so far. The staff is friendly and there is easy access to my loved one. The activities are really nice, the schedule is on the board so everyone know what's going on. The nurses are on top of getting the medications to the residents on time and things like that. We have been pleased.

My parent is residing at Atria. She does not have dementia yet but it became much too difficult to care for her at home. Admittedly, I selfishly chose Atria because of its convenience relative to where I live but it has been the best gamble I have ever made. The care there is outstanding. I sat still and watched while the management team turned over and, with the few bumps I took at the time, you have to remember that patience is a virtue. With the new management team in place everything has greatly improved. Patient care has gone up extremely; activities and entertainment for my mom and others has greatly improved; and the food provided has stepped up in quality and presentation very much. The only complaint my mom has ever had to me is that she wants to move back home. But that can only be expected as a complaint. I can’t provide her the care she needs nor would she really be as happy if she lived at home. She fails to remember all of her good times and all of the friends she has made at Atria. The facility has also undergone many physical improvements in the past 6 months or more. Atria has made outdoor renovations, dining upgrades, and has new furniture throughout. But the biggest renovation is my mother’s smile. She is finally very happy when it comes to where she lives and for the smiles she receives from other residents and the employees as well. Although my mom is very happy I will continue to visit her often so she knows that her family didn’t just get rid of her. I love her dearly and always will. I merely moved her to a better place for her to live. I assure you my mom will always receive the best care I can get for her. Thank you very much Atria for making that possible.

Everything has gone really well at Emeritus at Laurel Gardens. The staff at this facility are very nice and helped me understand how everything would work before he even moved in. That really helped us make the decision to place him here.

I was at Harbor Chase for respite care. Was very pleased with my room and the care I received.. Great view of the lake. Good walking area. Porch for enjoying the outside. Staff was very friendly and helful. Was not to fond of the ducks. They are entertaining to the fultime residents. Especially enjoyed the music when Janet played the piano and sang hymns.

I am more than happy with Horizon Bay at Orange City. It is just a top notch facility and deserves a five-star rating in all the categories right down the line. It is an excellent place for my loved one to be.

Horizon Bay just felt "right" from my first visit. We needed an assisted living facility for my mother-in-law, and after visiting several facilities, toured Horizon Bay. Even though they are in the midst of extensive renovations, the facility is clean and well-kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant-style dining is a great feature. My mother-in-law has said--quite often!--"If I can't be in my own home, this is a very nice place." We're happy if she's happy!

Wonderful community. You can see the moment you walk in that the associates care for the residents.

My sister and I met with Janet Altman and were pleased with the small home-like setting of this facility. The memory unit includes 13 apartments, each with private bathrooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. We met several residents and they all bragged on how nice Janet was. Janet played the piano and sang for us, and several of the residents in the lounge area joined in, along with one of the other associates. This one is SO much better than the first one we visited, and costs are comparable. The $4995/mo for a private room is all inclusive after paying a one time community fee of $3500 (yikes!). Pricey, but guess you get what you pay for. We were each presented with a box with two pastries when we got ready to leave. We sampled one and saved the 2nd one for Mom to enjoy. A group of residents were doing memory exercises (ex: flash card with a M on it, and asking residents to identify a candy that starts with M). They looked like they were having fun. In talking with Janet, we could see she really cared for the residents and it put us at ease. There was no Hard Sell like we got at [community name removed]. Just friendly tour and helpful information.
