My mother was in senior living and enjoyed her stay there. Once her health regressed it got worse. The assisted living program was to take care of her needs. Far from the truth... So understaffed...no qualified CNA's on staff at all! Staff was a revolving door. So frustrated! They are charging her $7,400.00 a month and no one is there to change her. No bath given ...just sponge baths. I had to wash my moms hair because they said they could not! She gets constant UTI's for lack of changings, bed sores because they are left alone all day, she was sent to the emergency room for a dislocated shoulder, as well as becoming septic! Now that she is gone through her life savings they do not want to care for her. Please take them to a better location...I cry everyday for what I see her going through.

Please do not bring your loved one here. The Administration is severely disorganized with a turn over rate of employees. It is very expensive and not worth the money. Do not believe what management tells you because it isn't true. They are just informing people that they have all of the amenities when they were recently fined for having Legionaires. The Department of Health is always contacted due to the roaches and mice that have been sighted there.

Place needs to step up to the plate if they think they are like any other assisted living facility. The turn over in management is like every other month!!!! The place is very dirty ... They are open almost two years and only 50 residents!!! The marketing team will say anything to reel people in!!!!

Very disappointed in theedocal care at Lexington of Elmhurst. My mother was admitted and waited over 3 weeks to see a doctor upon her admission. Then, despite requesting and being assured that she would receive podiatric care in February, the podiatrist did not see her in February or in April. She developed several pressure sores on one of her feett necessitating an ER visit and her doctor, [Removed] to honor an appointment to see her. He came to the facility, saw two other patients and left. He was contacted by the staff and refused to come to see her for another 3.5 weeks. The ER physician recommended wound care as well as 2 systemic antibiotics after debriding the wounds. My sister went to Lexington to meet the wound care provider from the Lexington system at 8 am who never showed up. She complained to the management after waiting for 1.5 hrs for the wound care provider.. The director finally arranged for another service to provide the wound care. Ridiculous medical care for $6100.00/month.

I was told my first year's rent would be frozen for 2 years, now I find out that the contract was not updated with that agreement... a small fortune. I guess I should have been less trusting of the sales staff.

Don't let the pretty interior and nice location make you think the assisted living or memory care caregiving providers and food will be as good. Caregivers in the AL and Memory Care are poorly trained and spend more time visiting with each other than the residents. Uncertified personnel distributed meds in Memory Care. According to the nurse who only works 9-5, this facility is not licensed to have a defibrillator. Unless you don't really need any personal assistance with bathing or transfers and can distribute your own medicine; and, if you can tolerate the inconsistency of the quality of meals served, this is not a good choice. Oh, and many residents went months without hot water. Hopefully, this problem has been corrected.

They are the most dishonest people We have ever met! They wanted to sell my mother a life care plan even when we said no! Her doctor said she needed assisted living and if she was able to live in independent living, we would have left her in her condo with all her friends. My siblings and I went there and met [Removed] she was over bearing, pushy and extremely rude. The fact that she was the marketing director was a shock. We moved our mother into the assisted living but they continued to keep pushing their life care. The assisted living director[Removed] never returns or takes your calls. She too is dishonest and extremely rude! We finally wised up and moved her!

Between the menu changes, undercooked food at every meal and lack of support at the upper nursing DON and management level this place is the worse! Mom can't get a meal fully cooked and calls nightly with a complaint about food and more. First I thought it was just due to the adjustment period but after months I stopped in and saw first hand, we pulled her out ASAP!

Do not put your loved one at The Woodlands Waterway facility at this time or you will be putting your loved one at RISK. It is a poorly managed facility with very low staffing level.

My family picked Park Lane for our loved to stay for nursing care. We cringed at the private pay rate but willing to pay for our loved one to be taken care of and have privacy, and we thought the facility was exercising fairness. That was not the case. The Admissions department and the Administrator bribed and agree for another family to pay a semi private rate to stay in a private single room. This is UNFAIR and UNJUST!!!!! This should be illegal financial practice! All the family that pay for a single private rate room should be charged a semi private room rate if they do for another family! We want to know why this was allowed? We will contact the regulatory agencies to investigate. This is very upsetting!!!!

After a lengthy round table meeting where my 93 yr.old mothers conditions were reviewed she was accepted into the assisted living program.She moved in Thanksgiving week. No heat in her apt until 9:30 pm. The next day the Nursing Staff overdosed my mother causing her to be rushed to Silver Cross Hospital.The Friday after Thanksgiving about 7:30pm the director called and demanded I remove my mother from the facility. He directed his nurses to stop administering medications ,they simply handed me a bag with pills and insulin. I moved my mom out on Sunday. Happy to report she is thriving at another assisted living facility. If you or your loved one needs any medical management this facility is not for you.

Excellent decor, food and well kept grounds. Terribly rude and unprofessional aides. Think twice before you consider putting a loved one here.

I am very disappointed with this facility. The care is very poor!!! I would say [removed] IS THEIR PRIOIRTY!!! The short term stay ( for rehab ) is better than the long term stay. When patient ask to go to the bathroom they don't take them for 25 min even with multiple request. My mom had fallen and hurt her face, they only gave ice pack once, when asked why they did not offer it again the nurse said it was not on the charts. There is not much activity that they do with the residents, no encouragement no taking them out, except on a narrow balcony. Patients are so SAD, they don't interact with each other or even watch tv, they just sit there like zombies!!! If you love your parent find a different facility!!! In fact look for a group home!!! That would be a much better option. You may getter a better environment and may cost less money!!! ( this facility charges over [removed] per month !!! That's outrageous !!!

I guess I would keep it short. I visted for a tour for my mother and found everything to be fitting in the community, however I was very dissatisfied and quite frankly uneasy with the Director of the community. His demenour was very inappropriate, his wandering eyes left me with an immediate decision that Harbour Village would not be a good fit for my mother.

Terrible new staff and management. It is obvious they only care about the money.

My grandmother has been staying at this facility for a little over a month now for rehabilitation. My family and I visit her often and whenever I personally go to visit it is always a waiting game for my grandmother receive the care she needs. My grandmother is there for rehabilitation, which is the only part that has seemed helpful this far. This facility is understaffed and lacks compassion for their patients. My grandmother had undergone surgery and has needed assistance because she cannot use the bathroom to pass bowel movements. My grandmother has had to wait countless times for over half at hour, at least, to be changed and cleaned. The staff of CNAs do not take their responsibility seriously. I have been told that only nurses can change certain medical assistive equipment, but the CNAs will not even try to clean my grandmother, they leave her to lay in her own filth. When I have asked for clean linens for my grandmother to change myself the CNAs argue about who will actually get the linen. I have worked as a CNA myself and I have never seen such a lazy staff. The nurses have even said that my grandmother needs to be more patient because each nurse has 24 patients to overlook. Again, this facility is poorly understaffed. My grandmother has even told me she has waited for a nurse, only to find out that there had been a shift change so no one else was aware she needed assistance. Since each nurse has 24 patients my grandmother has to wait over half an hour to be cleaned? My grandmother needs to lay in soiled linen? Where is the compassion? The nurses and CNAs are there only to make money, not to provide appropriate care for the patients.

My Uncle had a very negative experience while at Clare Oaks for rehab services. He was there for 4 weeks, but did not make much progress due to the poor care he received from the staff. The staff was unresponsive when he called for assistance or for pain medication. He typically had to wait for 45-60 minutes for someone to come to his room in response to the call button. One aide told him that there was nothing she could do for him and that he should just "suck it up" while he was in pain. Many times they forgot to apply medication for his bed sores. The staff exhibited very poor communications with the family and the discharge planning was almost non-existent. The nurse case coordinator acted bothered whenever we approached her for assistance and offered little help. We will be filing a formal complaint.
