They were absolutely horrible. I pulled my loved one out of there a month and a half into being there. They very seldom checked on my loved one, they did not follow their medication schedule. My loved one got sick in there and the staff just ignored my loved one until I called their hospice nurse. She came and got my loved one out of there and put my loved one into the hospital where my loved one recovered. I'm in the middle of writing up a formal complaint that I'm sending to the state and a couple of other organizations. I would never recommend Harbour Village to anyone ever.

Place treated my father like a dog.... keep your loved one at home... no communication at all, found the ladies laying around, wouldn't change my father... I hope one day those nurses who took care of my father have there mom or dad treated the way they treated him...

Our family had an in person tour and we felt just based on the tour experience and even though it was very new it was very cold and we just did no like it.

My family member moved in within the last 6 months. Hoping by now my rev. would be better. It’s been hard dealing with the new Ex Dir./ management of Watermark. Promises were not kept and residents were treated disrespectfully when questioned. Rent was raised several hundred dollars. The one included meal/day is now charged per item and deducted from a $500 allotment (main/side) w fees for pkg & food delivery/bags, to apt. We were reassured staff turnover was not a concern. That person quit and move in-day was a disaster. Apartment was not clean w serious maintenance issues. No staff was present. Residents fought for mold removal, cleaning and working appliances. They were promised rent compensation which Resident insisted in writing. When received, Exec Dir. reduced it and residents had no recourse. Reno’s are looking good. The on-call IL supervisor [name removed], front desk,PT, podiatry, salon are great!! Watermark needs to know caring for residents they serve is as important the money.

Horrible care givers always on their cell phones, no interaction with the residents, no communication with the families. Can't express how disappointed & upset this has made my family. After 2 weeks we are moving our mom to another facility. For the amount of money they charge is sickening.

The food keeps getting worse. I run out of things like milk and bread. Soup comes out cold baked potatoes come out cold scrambled eggs or cold. Discuss with the food and beverage Director and he looks at you like well what do you want me to do about it. It does not do any good to talk to the executive Director because she’s not gonna do anything about it either. They have no intention of doing anything for the diabetic Lots of pasta potatoes Very little vegetables. No dessert for diabetics

Do not trust you loved ones with The Clarendale of Addison. The Clarendale of Addison has deceptive sales practices. Be careful of the misleading and misinformed sales promises from [name removed] who promises services that Memory Care cannot and will not provide. He will not return your calls after you sign a contract. The director [name removed] is arrogant and condescending and thinks she is always right. [name removed] and [name removed] work for the same company, but they do not understand the promises being made. My mother was there for 20 days, and they did not fulfill their duty and required the family to hire a full-time caregiver to live at The Clarendale. After they realized they could not handle the promises [name removed] made, the director of Memory Care gave me a list of services that they expected our caregiver to provide, which included that I bathe my mother, take her to meals, assist her in the bathroom, clean the room, etc. Don’t be fooled by [name removed] they did what they could.

I would tell others that it is a nice place but it is not run very well. You cannot get anything done. If something happens it takes them a month to fix it. They also just do not make any effort to do activities with the residents or get them to participate. He was not able to stay here because the person above him was so loud and he could not sleep. It has not been the best experience for my loved one.

Can’t believe how the rehab center has been treating my grandfather they have left him with a gash on his arm that was so bad the dressing had to be changed three times in a row, they left him in a wheelchair for four hours straight knowing he has sciatica and his legs and feet went numb he was in so much pain he was crying for help and nurses and aids just walked right past him!!!!!!! Don’t let your parents or grandparents come here they make it seem nice but the people are terrible!

I wouldn't put my dog in Balfour. I'm surprised they didn't kill my mother.

A very good friend of many years was extremely happy with this place until she suffered a stroke, was paralyzed and had to move to the assisted living floor. What a disaster! These floors are so thinly staffed that proper care cannot be given. We have had to go outside of The Clare and hire our own care team and still The Clare fights us. This has been a most sad experience. If you do not have someone who can fight for your loved one - they will not help and will wait until they die so they may turn over the room. A very sad experience!

There is a new Director of food and beverage. Since his arrival The quality and portion size of the food has gone down. It seems to be more emphasis put on appearance than quality.

When my husband and I decided to downsize we visited numerous facilites. CCRC's were hard to find in southeast Texas. We felt it was a blessing when we became aware of The Village at Gleannloch Farms. We used most of our savings to "buy in" and were blessed again by avoiding the 2008 downturn of the stock market. Living at VGF is a rewarding experience and a blessing everyday. We are free of the problems of owning and maintaining a home. Even better - we don't have to cook.

My Dad wanted to find a place to stay for the rest of his life. He knew he had some early signs of dementia along with dementia in his family, so he picked Sagewood for their Life Care - apartment to memory care etc. Literally the day he was moved into memory care, they had him sent off to ER and they required we pay for added help if we wanted him to stay despite an agreement. It felt like they were trying to get him removed from day 1 in memory care and ultimately they told us he couldn’t stay. The trauma was so intense that my Dad went from walking 3 miles around the facility with me the day before to being unable to walk within 2 weeks and he was dead 2 months later. I couldn’t be more sick about his experience at Sagewood.

I would tell others to keep looking around.

Just take your loved one home and find adequate help at home if possible. Dad lost over 11 lbs on a 3 week visit and they were quite happy for him to leave, as if they fixed anything. NOT!! They added to his issues and no one, including administrative were willing to help! Director of nursing said dad lost 11 lbs in rehab because he was more active over the 20 days he was there, please he's 91 years old!!! Very unhappy with the "best place" in the area!! We have a very long way to go for good health care for seniors in this country. Only when it becomes something other than "For Profit" will it get better!

I was extremely disappointed with them. On the front end, they were extremely friendly. But when medical issues popped up, they became very unfriendly very quickly. My mother was in the hospital, and on a holiday weekend the director, through somebody else, informed me that my mother could not come back to the community unless she had 24/7 care while in the facility. We ended up doing hospice, and on top of the additional care that hospice was providing, Clarendale still required us to hire 24/7 care during that time. I was very disappointed in how they handled the situation. When my mother passed, they never even sent condolences.

The facility is beautiful but looks can be deceiving. The care was very poor. Extremely short-staffed. Would never recommend.

We had a very frustrating experience with The Watermark at Bellingham. I would not recommend to anyone and tell others who are looking to go elsewhere.
