I toured this community for my mom. I did not like the feeling of the community which was more like a nursing home. The staff was not educated on the community. It felt older and not updated. I did not get a homie feeling here. I suggest families come and take a tour and see if this is a good option for loved ones needing care.

Everything has been going good. I just have a problem that they told me that they would be able to get to my loved one in 5 minutes or less. That is the reason why I chose them. Instead it is taking them 30 minutes to get to her. The food is fairly good and the community is clean.

The Signature Pointe is a new community. It is clean and maintained well. The first impression that I got from the staff was not very good, I didn't see much interaction going on between them and the staff. The residents that I saw were just in their beds in their rooms. It didn't seem there were enough activities going on.

I know of this community from years ago and now it needs some updating. The food is not to good and I have heard this too. I am glad I did not pick this one. It is one of nicest looking communities in Lexington.

Our family has had a pretty good experience with this community. Overall we are pleased with all they have done for us. They are willing to work with us regarding the issues we have. She is really enjoying the activities that are available. I know she is safe and overall we are pleased with her move here.

I had an appointment to tour the community Eastcastle Place. The tour guide that normally is there was absent that day and another person gave me the tour. The person that was substituting the tour guide was very accommodating and apologetic. She tried to do her best. It would have been good if the community would have just re-scheduled that tour so i could have had a proper tour of the community. From what i did see the place was clean and safe.

I had a horrible experience here. My husband was scaled in the shower and looked like he tried to get out and ended up with black and blue bruises. He did not get good care. The food was bad. I was there everyday for a few hours with my husband. Since he has moved out, he had changed and was not the same

The food is not good here. The vegetables are under cooked and the meat is overcooked. The cook has been told of this and nothing has improved. My friend has curtains that are hanging backwards, it has been difficult for him to walk out to his porch. He has been told they will fix it but no one has fixed it. On the positive side, the place is kept clean, activities are provided and the ladies that give my friend his medication are nice. Linda is a very, very sweet lady who calls me if my friend needs anything.

This is a nice community and the people here are nice and friendly. My mother had a bad fall when she moved to the community. Since her fall she has been in the hospital. I was pleased with the community and everything was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and did all they can do.

Showed us a nice apartment at a reasonable rate. Then switched as soon as we paid up & moved in! In rushing the move, lost a $750 hearing aid & have made no offer to replace it. My Dad's 89 and recovering from a mild stroke that caused a fall in which he hit his head & was confused- slow recovery. He has "OCD" & will spend too long doing such things as combing his hair, eating, toileting and this where a CNA could help by prompting him but if he waves them off, they just leave! Twice in one week he was left in his recliner, TV on, overhead lights on... ALL NIGHT! So, of course, he felt tired & had a crick in his neck. So this is "Assisted Care" w/Memory Care by their definition. I'm not sure it's any better somewhere else??

We have now switched to home care but my husband was at Clarendale for a little while in the memory care unit but he did end up needing more care then they were able to provide. It was a very bling out place looked very nice and clean. I would say to anyone thinking of moving here just make sure you know the level of care your loved one needs because this place doesn't care for people with advance memory problems.

They really were not ready for a move-in. There were things that were broken and not painted and so on. They did okay getting stuff repaired, but I would rate that a 2. They are probably average, but they are also a premium price, so the value is not there.

Large and convenient. Separate bldgs. with walk ways. No evening meals & electric added. Internet/WIFI was questionable.

I visited this place. Felt like the units were not that nice and felt the administration would be too pushy with the residents.

My opinions on Eastcastle Place are somewhat mixed, so far. The facility itself seems well kept and clean. However, my loved one is in the assisted living portion, and it seems very small. There aren't many other residents or caregivers on hand. I'm just not sure yet it is somewhere she will be comfortable long term.

My mother lived at Walnut Place for a year and four months before passing away in April. Her care and attention to her obvious health problems before having to be transferred to the hospital were severely lacking. The wait for a doctor to see her to recommend she be transferred to the hospital took five hours. My mother passed away two days after reaching the hospital. I could have forgiven the slow response, but after she passed, I never heard another word from anyone at Walnut Place. No phone call, no condolences or even a sorry for your loss. It was as if my mom had never even been there. It hurt me so much that I called the administrator to voice my concerns and even after that, I never heard another word from Walnut Place. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones.

Very homey atmosphere, nice caring staff. Only negative is washer/dryer not in apartment which is major for mom.

Too smallfor both parents...one needing assisted living and one that doesn't. It is 808 sq ft., very expensive $5,600 per month. Step in bathroom barely fits a chair inside, etc.

We used Shipley Manor briefly for rehab care for a loved one, and overall I was not impressed. The care services seemed uncoordinated, and they seemed more focused on convincing us to convert her to a full time resident than helping her to recover.

We scheduled our tour online, but they were not prepared for us. The person who offered the tour could not give us good information about activities. The staff we encountered were not friendly and did not offer information when we asked questions. Admittedly, we toured on the Saturday after Christmas, but one would think that there would be a manager available who could answer questions.
