Based on our tour, I wasn’t happy with them at all. They were overpriced. And their open restaurant situation was not a good situation for my loved one with high care needs.

With Covid, you're not able to go in and visit with your loved one. Communication wasn't really that good. When we called and left a message, they didn't call us back. So we'd have to call again. Our loved one wasn't happy there at the beginning, but he was starting to feel more and more that he fit in. It was just a matter of getting used to the people and the environment altogether, the staff and the residents. Our loved one didn't like the food. He thought they served too much fish, and he was a meat and potatoes guy.

My mom and dad moved here 5 years ago. The first 3 1/2 years were an excellent experience. Love the fact that it is walking distance to HEB, Market Street shopping and the public library. However, during the past year or so they have been doing extensive construction repairs that have necessitated scaffolding outside of windows, unable to use balconies, views blocked and lots and lots of construction noise and traffic. Also, residents are all having to move out of their apartments for between 2 weeks and 2 months (into other apartments on property) while windows and exterior walls are replaced. I would only recommend it if the unit your parent is being into has already been repaired and there is no scaffolding outside of the window.

We are looking for a place for my mom who is very active and engaging but is also advanced in her Alzheimer's. We found the community lovely but the residents seemed to be not as active as what my mom is and therefore not being a right fit for her now.

The staff were always friendly; however, I don't think they were genuine. I would say not to put your loved ones there. Due to medication issues with the residents from the staff. I would for sure tell you no if your loved one has to deal with medication. This wouldn't be my response during my loved one's stay. There was no inventory control of the medication for residents.

The rooms at the community were a highlight, they were pretty nice. The food was very good. We thought the setup of the community was easy to walk around, a good overall layout. The nursing care sometimes was a little slow to get to our loved one when she needed their help.

So far we are having a good experience here at Richmond Place. The quarantine impacted a lot though. We originally chose this facility because of the affordability as well as the apartment size. I would want others to know when looking into the facility tat the staff members here have all been very friendly. I would recommend to others.

We were so hopeful this would be a great living experience fo mom. It is an absolutely gorgeous setting. Unfortunately (maybe partially due to COVID-19) it was not. They DO have a first class staff and excellent fresh meals which the advertising staff touted. But it was also sold to us as a highly active Assisted Living which it was not. We were told mom would have access to exercise room with staff fitness staff, pool for water walking, art room for real art teacher led lessons and general access and an Activity Director who was very involved. Unfortunately most of these did not occur. Mom was never given the opportunity to meet other residents until about 6 weeks after living there mostly in solitary existence. We as a family were not given any guidance or direction when she first moved in about who to contact for Drs appointments or for any problems or concerns. No welcome information packet was provided so we were mostly in the dark on what was going on. I guess a lot of family’s just move their family member in and forget them. We are highly involved with Mom. Thank goodness for FaceTime - that’s the only respite mom got from what she felt like solitary confinement. Mom is a very active person but was not really given the opportunity to actively engage in the community until after I turned in our move out notice. The Fitness director was great with engaging her after about 6 weeks. She loves to be outside and does a lot of walking but the community is built on a hillside so walking the grounds was very hard since she needs a walker to get around. The monthly cost was at the top of our budget limit and we decided it was not worth the benefit to her at the total expense of her happiness. Too much isolation and loneliness. We purchased a Medacube pill dispenser and installed cameras to ensure medication is taken (which was our main concern) for a lot less than the monthly Danberry cost and she is much happier in her current setting.

The community is kept pretty clean, we have had no issues with the cleanliness or the friendliness of the staff members. She moved in right before COVID hit which has affected some things, and at that time it switched management. They have not really been as communicative as they should be with a lot of things. She feels that she has to go out of her way to ask questions which is frustrating for her. They need to be more aware with how they communicate with the residents who have been there for longer and the more newer residents. The food they have does not offer a big variety of food choices or how it is cooked. Some of the food may be to spicy. The rooms are very nice, her room is more than adequate.

I found that you need to be clear with your instructions or desired outcomes with the staff. The rooms sizes and layout of the community were good. The food was good. They do have some balconies for outdoor space.

I was not updated when an incident happened, I was not informed. I spoke to the administration and got in touch with the nurse. I was upset that no one had called me. The information I was given was different then what my dad said happened. I was frustrated with the communication. Things that were supposed to happen were not happening. There are positives but also frustrations too.

We lived in the assisted living section for five month’s. We were hoping that this brand new facility would live up to its shiny new building but sadly it never got off the ground. The management was poor, the RN was never on site and no one returns phone calls. The nursing staff is constantly turning over and would not communicate with the family due to lack of management. The restaurant was beautiful and the food at times was nicely prepared, but the facility nickels and dimes the residents and family’s! They charged the residents for Thanksgiving meal! There were not enough events for the residents, and sadly we left. If The pros are it is brand new. The cons out weigh the pros. All that glitters is not gold They just weren’t established.

I did not like it. I felt very uncomfortable there.

I am content here. Like my apartment and the workers are great. Food could always be better but it is hard to satisfy everyone. I bare no comparison so my opinion is they are all alike, it is up to you to be satisfied.

My mother resided there for almost 3 years and was well taken care of of the most part. The aides were wonderful and shout out to [names removed] who gave our family a sense of relief when they were on shift. However, after private pay ran out & we had to cover her expenses with Medicaid she was given the boot. The head nurse & dean of nursing made several excuses why but refused to admit that was the reason. It's corporate corruption at it's best & those 2 had absolutely no code of ethics whatsoever. If this sounds bitter it should. We were promised she would never be turned away for any circumstance but yet we had to move her. Mom's new place is awesome, clean & great staff but at 88 years old this was a ridiculous situation to be put in.

Regency Oaks is beautiful and high class but too large and doesn’t meet my parents needs. The buy in and costs are too high.

Visitors conduct at Greenwood Village South. It helps to have a grin an bear it attitude. Complaining and getting assertive about the sometime shoddy care your loved one is receiving will only lead to you being considered for permanent disbarment from the facility. Loved ones have to learn too that the more they complain the less actual care they will receive. Weekends is when the missed showers and snotty attitude of the staff mainly happens. Greenwood Village South is probably one of the better places to put a loved one but all of them need to improve vastly.

The community here is small, 24 studio apartments for assisted living. The common areas seemed more clinical than homey. Since it is a small community there is a waitlist. The contact person was very knowledgeable and able to accommodate our tight schedule.

I do not live close to Freedom Square so I have to communicate through vmail & email. Never once has the care coordinator replied to either.

I live in a villa. The heater/ac is a little noisy, but that’s OK. The faucets, toilet, shower, etc. but, so far still working. The water pressure is not good. Kitchen appliances all work and are OK. My rent includes 2 meals a day. Breakfasts are great on M, Wed and Fri. Other days are make-do... Dry cereal dispensed from a glass jar and gets ground up in the process. Danish and muffins are the same every Tues, Thur and Sat. I quit going to evening meal s ‘cause the entrees were lousy. I now only go to breakfast, and cook my own lunch and supper. Grounds are well-kept, Villa maintenance is good and first level of Administration is OK. Management above that needs attention. I don’t mind living here. But it’s very over priced.
