Mom, Doug, and Dee got a quick look 03/16/14.

My loved ones were at this community for a time, before a change in care needs necessitated a move. This is a very nice community for independent living, or for those who only need a small amount of assistance. It's a beautiful place, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, once my parents started needing more help we had to start contracting with an outside service the facility uses for those with higher care needs, which ended up being very expensive. We eventually decided to move them somewhere more focused on assisted living, and closer to family.

Visited 3/4. Good potential. Duplex option. Costs at top of range, however.

This is a nice community overall, it is a beautiful place and the staff are all very friendly. They do a good job of keeping it up, and it is always clean. The only major issue we had was right when my parents moved in, I feel like the staff could have been a bit more sensitive to my parents moods and done a better job of easing them in to their new situation. They were trying to be friendly and integrate them into the community, but after having lived in a private residence for so many years my parents were overwhelmed by all the people coming to the door to welcome them and try to get them to participate in activities. I know they did it with the best of intentions, but it was a little much my parents right off of the bat.

I'm very happy with them. The food is a three. I would like to have the dress code changed for meals, the men have to wear suit jackets for the evening meal. I chose them for their friendliness, and the feeling of comfort and relaxation. I liked the size and layout of the apartment, and the security systems that are in place. The diversity of age groups is also nice, they seem to have a wider range of ages than others and more men here too.

It just wasn't set up for my mom - no memory care there. We had to get almost 24 hour care in addition to the assisted living, which was out of hand cost wise. I realized that Dad wanted to live a little closer to me, so we decided to move. It was very nice, nothing negative to say, just wasn't set up for my mom. The folks were very nice.

It is a beautiful location, right there there by the Mayo Clinic. A lot of people would pay just for that convenience. It's beautiful, but a little overpriced because the units are pretty small. My dad didn't like that. It is all in a 7 story tower, like a tower or something that you would see in the middle of a city. No surrounding grounds per se, and you have to ride elevators to get to each floor.

Best location and marvelous. We will plan a tour when my aunt can come in from East Texas to visit. The only drawback is it doesn't qualify for military wife supplement, as I understand it, which would make it perfect.

I found the staff helpful and efficient. Since my mother has memory lapses, however, the support literature could be more specific and sequential for her use. She also does not like the telephone system. Over all, my mother seems quite pleased with the facilities, and especially the staff at Bellingham.

The Glenview is a very nice CCRC located in Pelican Bay. The residents and staff appear friendly and welcoming. The community is nicely decorated and is always clean and well maintained. Unlike most CCRCs, the Glenview is a co-op that offers a percentage of equity when the residence is sold. It is a bit pricey, but does offer good value for those who can afford it.

This is a beautiful facility but it's much too large of a community for my mom. She wouldn't be able to get around very well.

Visited. Very beautiful. The Independent living would not work, as the waterway is right outside, and many places to walk to right out the door. Don't think the highrise would be a good fit for Dad.

We've had no problems so far. They have activities like games, trips, going out to eat, shopping, people that come in to speak and other entertainment. So far, things are going well.

They served alcohol with meals and I'm glad that she told me and she was upfront about it because my uncle did not need to be there. It was also quite pricey, it has a reputation for being more upscale over and above the others also.

They have a really expensive upfront fee, I think its 10000 upfront. Of course it's just beautiful, but they didn't have any private rooms available. You could go in semi-private and be on a waitlist and they're just really geared for their residents who are already going to be there long term and I was really just looking at the nursing part there. They do have a memory care but it only has 10 rooms I beleive they said.

Good meeting with Ms. Hart and nice tour. Will keep this facility in mind

very nice facility. Only the laundry room was not in the individual apartments.

We visited here but my mother-in-law never lived here so I don't have that much experience with them. It was nice but very expensive with the buy in.

Continuance Care community - Meaning you purchase a unit at the outset and they enter into a contractual relationship where you will never lose the roof over your head (monthly rental fee can be waived) if something happens to devastate you financially. - This appeals to me somewhat. LOCATION by Safety Harbor is quite nice.

It didn't fit my needs; I have a disability that they weren't able to accomodate and I left after 3 days. They tried everything to make it work but my house is set up for me and it works much better, I have the equipment I need to best fit my needs. I went to South Port because my wife was going away from 17 days and they did try to take care of me but their physical set up was just not adequate for me and we didn't realize that during the tour. They did everything they could and they were excellent but they were set up for little old ladies they could get out of bed and wheel out to dinner. I'm pretty self sufficient, I am in a wheelchair but there were just things I didn't realize I needed that they couldn't accomodate.
