The transition going from living independently to assisted living went pretty well, I think primarily because of the people they have at The Delaney. They seem to be responsive to the individual's needs when they come. The nursing lead has been excellent in making sure that my loved one receives the care that he needs. My loved one always complains about food, and he has not complained about the food at all here, which is huge. The facility is pretty nice and appropriate for the population that's there. I can tell from the independent living side, they have a nice common area and activities to do, and those are available to the assisted living side as well. Sometimes communication between caregivers at shift changes can have gaps, but I understand the challenges involved with that.

For the price, this community is the best I found in the area. The staff are wonderful to work with, and they care quick to respond to the family's questions and concerns about our loved one. There was one time that I wasn't able to get a hold of my loved one and a staff member was able to check on my loved one, and called me back within a half hour of my initial call.

Considering my loved one's situation, the community did the best they could. I would recommend you look at the community and memory care unit to see if it would the right choice for your loved one. The staff communication with the family was good. They tried their best in keeping me updated on my loved one.

We had a rough start but fantastic finish to our experience. Would be nice to have more meal options, but they did make requests for him such as when he requested a hot dog and they made it. They should not accept patients with a catheter as he was being discharged from a rehab facility. Which is where we had issues with the rough start, they had issues with the catheter and noticed that something was not correct. He ended up having an UTI, so after this they were very conscious of his behavior and being very attentive going forward after this was pointed out. Very grateful for them after this experience. The staff has been fantastic, very caring, very attentive and just wonderful. The location is wonderful as the hospital is right by the facility.

I was not as impressed with The Avalon of Lewis Center when we toured with them. The guy who was showing us around was great and I would give him high marks, but the facility itself felt more institutional and not as homey as we were wanting. I also noticed there were lots of crumbs and things on the ground and the staff were all just standing around talking to each other, so they did not pay as much attention to the cleanliness here.

The staff there have really tried to be in-tune with our loved one, she can be difficult at times but everything is going very well there. They always have a ton of different things going on, and the staff are very encouraging to get our loved one involved even when she is feeling hesitant. They are very good about bringing families in on activities to keep everyone engaged with one another. They even have off sight activities, one time they took them to a fish fry. The reason we gave it 4 stars overall is we had a few issues with the billing and medication set up but that is just a hurtle you have to go through and they did a good job working with us on that. It has been a really good experience so far

My father stayed here, and they did very well with him. The staff was good but the distance was just too far.

We really liked Clarendale of Algonquin, they get really good ratings and it seemed like a good place. They had tons of activities provided and a bus service that took residents out each day. There was a lot of people in independent living and it seemed like there were quite a few from Sun City. The facility was more expensive, but this was in our top 3 choices.

Nice living conditions, lots of activities for all ages, food is better than most senior homes

The people were very nice during the tour, and they were renovating the community. The memory care unit was in a separate building and not connected to the main building and I didn't like the memory care setup.

Clarendale of Chandler was a beautiful place, but it was double the price of the place we chose, and it wasn't any better in looks or services.

I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The front desk people are very welcoming and extremely helpful. The young women in the dining rooms are so pleasant.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really good tour experience

I have been very satisfied with the level of communication and overall services, as well as the physical facility itself. Weekend staffing, like at so many other facilities, has some questions. But every time I've expressed a concern, Rose Senior Living has been quick to address it and answer my questions.

Eastcastle Place is well run, clean, and has good meals. You do have to kind of find your own activities and friends. There aren't a lot of group gatherings or games. It's hard to tell if that's related to Covid, or if its always that way. Communication between the community and our family is good, but could be better. They could be a bit more clear on what they have and what's going on. My mom has a hard time finding her way sometimes. I know they're trying to instill different forms of communication with us, but it could use some improvement. She is in independent living, so maybe I'm asking for a bit much since she's not in assisted living. Overall I would definitely recommend Eastcastle Place to others.

Lake Seminole Square is an absolutely beautiful facility that is right on the lake. For my loved one it was just too big and we did not think it would serve his needs or give the personalized care that he needed.

It seems like its easy to speak with the staff, but I just don't think that all of the staff are on the same page. If I tell something to the head nurse I don't know if gets passed down to the other nurses. There's one social worker and one head nurse who deals with the assistants, and the assistants answer to her. So if there's something I don't like, like my loved one not showering or the bed not being changed properly; I'll go to the head nurse, but I don't know if that information is getting to the rest of the staff. Sometimes I get frustrated because of that. I'll leave notes in my loved ones room telling them what to do and on what days - and I don't think anyone reads them. I don't know how much power the head nurse has. It's only her and she's responsible for 95+ clients. She's likely overwhelmed with the amount of work she has to do. The one social worker, I don't know what her job is & I'm unsure of what she does? There are some things I'm still getting used to. If my loved one vomits or gets sick, they aren't calling me. For that kind of money I should be informed when my loved one is sick. I should also be sure that she's getting a shower and the linens are being washed. They told me they will "supposedly" call me a week before medication(s) run out, but sometimes I get a call only 3 days before the supply is gone - and that's not good. These are all things I would tell someone before they decide to bring their loved one here. As a whole I'm happy she's there as opposed to being at home because she's made friends, she's walking a lot more, and she's involved in a few activities. She's doing more there than at home, so I'm happy in that sense. But if I could get hands-on at The Brielle as a director, I would definitely change some things.

Staff is quite helpful & courteous. Surroundings inside & out are neat & tidy.

I have been very happy living here at Green Country. I like my apartment and the walk to the dining room is good for me. The staff is friendly and always helpful.
