My loved one is a resident at Balfour Ann Arbor. Overall, our experience with this facility has been good so far. The staff that is there is great, but there's not enough staff. It's hard to find people to work, that's their biggest problem.....not enough help for the residents. Overall, I would for sure recommend this facility to family and friends.

It was very clean. We were very pleased with the care services. There was a good quality of food/nutritious for the residents. There was a lot of entertainment/musicans that came in. They had very good activities. I would recommend to other families.

My dad moved into Harbour Village about a month ago and is transitioning well. He has participated in some of the group activities and is getting to know other residents. He did not want to move initially, but now says that this was a good idea and he is glad we pushed him a little.

We had a great tour experience with Freedom Square of Seminole. It was a very nice facility, but everything was not all under one roof. That was the main reason we decided against it for our loved one.

The grounds here are beautiful. I do not have issues because I am verbal and communicate well. If a resident is less verbal, the family needs to step in to let them know what is needed. Note they only supply towels and toilet paper. Every thing else is the residents responsibility. Level of care if included in the fee, which is a definite plus for the people who need assistance like I do. They have Fox Therapy. Excellent therapists for seniors and very knowledgeable. Fox is a big reason why I came here. They have just hired a new chef and the food has gotten much better since then.

My mother is a resident at Clarendale of Algonquin and the overall experience has been okay. I would rate the friendliness of the Memory Care Director and the Director of nursing lower. The facility is short staffed, but some of the staff are working their best. For the Activities, I would rate them at a 2 for the Memory Care Unit and a 4 for the Assisted Living side. The pricing is reasonable, considering the tiny Memory Care rooms.

My loved one lives at The Delaney at Parkway Lakes. The meals are great. They have a lot of activities. They seem to really care about their residents. However, communication with family members is lacking, especially after they receive the first payment. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I picked this community, because They had a two car garage, and two bedroom. It works for me. I like the apartments because of the open space and lots of cabinet space. Also, it's good lightning, and lots of windows.

Expectations were high with orientation. From the move in, things kind of went downhill. Communication being the biggest. Also we were never told about the neighborhood being employed by aides only. I think we should have been told. (Spending a lot of their time on their phones) not much attention given to the residents. If /when I ever have to do this again, now I'm more "experienced" and will certainly ask more questions.

When we toured Clarendale we thought the community was great. We just felt it was more expensive and more than we wanted to spend of our loved one's money.

The administrators and staff at Asbury truly care about the residents. There is a wide variety of activities to choose from, including outings to restaurants & performances. I lived in a 2 bed/ 2 bath patio villa that was separate from the main building. The apartments are good size with full size kitchens. My villa had a smaller kitchen.

Clarendale of Addison is a very lively and upbeat facility with great staff, however quality of food and the food service is subpar for the monthly cost of assisted living. The room size for a one bedroom apartment is excellent!

Very friendly staff and residents at Parkwood Independent Living. The common areas are clean. The staff is always available to families. The meals are balanced with different options. It feels like a community. I would definitely recommend this facility to others!

At one point or another, I have interacted in each area listed. In most cases, the issue/question was solved or a plan created. They lose a full point for proactive communication with a family or resident document. In all areas I had to figure out who to contact.

Clarendale is an excellent facility and community. Like all places, there can be staffing issues and continuous improvement in communications. The activities are wonderful, and it is a top notch place for senior living. We are grateful for Clarendale and look forward to Spring and Summer fun for seniors!

The memory care unit was very peaceful and welcoming. We like that it is a smaller unit and that made it feel like a home. The staff in memory care are very friendly. They are attentive to the needs of the resident. They encourage residents to participate in activities and we like that social aspect. I am always greeted by The front desk employees with a smile and welcome. The only thing I am not particularly pleased with is the lack of communication between me and some staff (RN, sales and executive directors, unit staff). I was not made aware that my mom was out of a medication. It all worked out. However, I see room for communication improvement. Overall, we very much like Havenwood and feel this will be her permanent home.

-Location a little far compared to others -Nice place, but very large. Parking not convenient -2 separate 20 person units- identical. -Three choices for meals -Hanta group physicians, podiatrist etc. -Can use full facility when we are there with Mom- make it feel like she has gone out -Outdoor courtyard. Just one living area outside of rooms. No other sitting space for families

With the friendliness of the staff - the receptionist was very busy on her phone, and never looked up. The food staff and are customer service oriented. They activities are great - they take outings, they have exercises classes, they go to restaurant's. They have movies, cards, games, walks, town halls, gardening's, crafts, and shopping trips. Based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to other families.
