My dad & his wife moved in approx 4 yrs ago. Fairly easy process. On several occasions their meals had to be delivered to them, no problems. My dad's wife spent the last couple of months of her life either in the hospital or nursing home, Parkwood prorated the 1st month she wasn't in the apartment for the whole month, then changed the bill to single occupancy for the next month with no problems. My dad continues to live there & enjoys many of the activities provided & the camaraderie with other residents.

We have only been at the facility for a few months, but my parents seem to like it. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. At first it was difficult to determine who to ask about certain things, but everyone tried to help. The meals are good and have a variety to chose from.

It's in a quiet setting, it has an outdoor Garden space, and is well maintained. Based on the experience I have had so far, I would recommend this community to other families

We had a good experience and would recommend this to others. Staff was very good. They took good care of my dad. The activities were very good. Barb who ran the activities was super with my dad. My dad wasn't always sure about joining in. [name removed] was able to get him to somethings. We met a lot of nice residents. The staff is friendly and as best they accommodate our needs. Heritage Village is a beautiful facility that is located right next to my Heritage hunt community. My wife has adjusted will since moving into Heritage Village.

I would definitely recommend Havenwood! We picked this community because, the monthly rate was 2 grand less than other places [name removed].was denied admission to a facility at the last minute but accepted by Havenwood.

They were able to accommodate me with my time crunch. They had a lot of staff turnover.

The Delaney seems to struggle with medication management . The director has been very responsive to issues but we continue to experience refills not being called in, serious delays for new prescriptions and overall lack of proactive medication management.

My mother was in memory care for 3, months at Avalon. The management is on top of their staff, providing training for new situations and following up on improvements. The staff was overall caring and compassionate, and loved my mom until she passed in this facility under hospice care. My only suggestions would be more clinical staff, and additional environmental services, and these are not dire, just may make the experience a 5 star.

Our loved ones are to themselves a lot, but they do like their view and their freedom. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families. The units are small for independent living but still are nice

The facility is welcoming and clean. The staff is busy and kind. It seems the activities are set for the residents who have been there for a while. I think they need to ask new residents what they would like to do. At the sales meeting we expressed some interest in activities and said the activities director would come around and find out what new residents are looking to do. I'm not sure that has happened. They just started a Milkshake Monday which is a new and fun idea. There also needs to be more encouragement for residents to attend activities.

My wife, being a former interior designer, was very concerned to find an apartment layout that she liked and a building with a warm welcoming decor. Gable Pines was a good fit. Her place has a nice north-facing outdoor balcony, where she can sit and enjoy the fresh air, and a den where she has room to work on projects that she loves. The hallways are wide with recessed doorways and tastefully colorful wall colors. There are also numerous paintings, flower arrangements, other decorative touches. It does not at all have the feeling of a nursing home, or even of most apartment buildings that I have been in. The thing that struck me most when first looking at my wife’s place, and the building in general, was how clean it was. There weren’t the usual sloppy caulking jobs, or windows that wouldn’t slide, etc. And when we have had issues, the maintenance people have addressed them promptly.

My time here has been above adequate. This place very clean, there are a lot of activities for residents and the staff is top-notch, If I could improve anything it would be the quality and variety of meals, finding a way to include patient suggestions on menu items.

Prices for any take out food are going up and prices for any transportation are going up as well. We were wondering what kind of new surprises will be awaiting us. The food had been great except for the last night. Fettuccine with clam sauce and chicken Parmesan. We’re almost inedible . My husband managed to get it down because he was so hungry. We had been one couple who had been raving about the food until now. The residents here have been great but with prices going ip and food going down many are talking about looking into other independent living facilities . So sad, we had actually loved it here.

I have been recommending the community. It's not perfect but I'm convinced it's the best in my area.

Place is attractive and clean, but there are Security and Safety issues, and food quality is worse than when admitted. As for care,it is N/A for me, I'm in the Independent Living area. Apartments are new and attractive with adequate space and full kitchen. Housekeeping is good, food fair, staff helpful, transportation provided for shopping, and doctors. Appts on limited basis. Adequate space for personal cars.

Our problem had to do with the food which is a insurmountable task. Trying to cook for 700 people and meet their dietary needs is a thankless task.I also was not a big fan of the executive director who made lots of promises and that he didn't fulfill. That said, think it is probably still one of the very best Senior living communities and I have, in fact, recommend it to others.
