Walt and I moved to Cypress Village fourteen years ago at our daughter's urging. We lived in Massachusetts and she didn't want to come to the cold northeast to care for her aging parents. Two years later Walt survived a brain aneurysm operation thanks to good Mayo surgeons - he is still hanging in there at 92. When we first arrived we were very active in the Croquet Club and I am still involved. For many years the Art League kept me very busy. It is important to choose a retirement community while you are still able to enjoy all the activities they offer. Walt & I enjoyed the exercise classes & rarely missed a dance. And it was only a five minute drive from our home to the Egret Hall for the many entertainments offered. Even though we were in an independent home we enjoyed all the amenities. Cypress Village has been an excellent choice for us - we have made some wonderful friends here.

We met with the owner several times and she is lovely. I am not there all the time though, so it is kind of hard to give an accurate review, but everyone there seems pretty nice and professional though.

As far as improvements, the only thing would be to change up and have a few more varied activities, instead of the same thing every time. As far as everything else, it has just been a good experience as far as the facility and the people with I have worked with.

Everyone is so welcoming at Lexington Square of Elmhurst. The staff has really helped mom adjust. My mom has had several emergencies at night and the nurses have been so quick to help. I cannot say enough good things about this place!

What they have done well is to provide a very nice environment and good choices for food service. Very polite staff. I could have used a little bit more orientation, I think they could have done a little bit better about explaining the system better. We are very pleased with the move.

My father has dementia but is still very independent minded. The Terraces at The Clare is a perfect home for him. They provide personalized care to meet his needs, a beautiful environment and delicious meals 3x/day.

Well it is my mother that is there and she is in independent living and she loves it. There are lots of activities to do. The staff really does a lot to make everyone feel welcomed there at Eastcastle Place.

They exceeded my expectations. I think that the thing that stuck out in my mind the most was how everyone was very friendly and caring. The people are what make it. The food was good, I ate there a couple times.

As far as my experience so far, the building I will be moving into looked to me to be very clean and I thought it was up-to-date, but when I got there I found out they were completely renovating it. The look to keep it very, very, up-to-date.

Everyone at Danberry has been extremely nice from the moment we began looking at the facility to their daily living experience today. My parents made a very big change that took them awhile to adjust to; however, the staff was extremely patient and gentle in helping them through the process. They look for individual and personalized ways to help them make Danberry their home. I am extremely happy we chose Danberry!

Blakehurst is a beautiful community! The food is excellent and the amenities are superb. The staff are friendly and activities are plentiful and creative.

My mother has been a resident in the memory care at Cypress Village they call Clare Bridge for a year this month. While her ability to take care of herself has diminished, we(my wife and I) are more than aware of all the care she receives from each and every person who works there. While there have been some changes in staff since she has lived there, we find an excellence in all of them. When we need answers to medications or treatment Vicky, the head nurse always stops her routine and immediately helps us. When I ask about day to day care needs, Karen, a daily nurse is extremely helpful, as is Alicia and Jane (who works Fridays only). One of the biggest positive changes we've seen is the addition of Karen the Director of Activities on Clare Bridge. She is a jolt of energy and is sincerely concerned about the daily activities of the residents. My mother recently started having issues with not wanting to shower and the Assisted Living Director implemented some new changes to help encourage and make that chore more enjoyable for her. Resident Care Associates we see regulary are Lisa, Lenore, Candace and a relatively new person Anja- They are fantastic! We are well pleased and would highly recommend Cypress Village, Clare Bridge as a facility for your loved ones.

I think they do an excellent job overall at Harbour Village. My loved ones are in their memory care unit, which is well organized and well laid out. The staff are friendly and professional, and do a great job looking out for the people who live here.

[My loved one] stayed for a week in respite care and thoroughly enjoyed her stay. She had previously spent six weeks in rehab at East Castle following two weeks in patient at St. Mary's and received very good care. Thank you.

My name is Moe M. [removed]. I am an active, independent senior citizen. I use the word active because when I first came to this community, I was afraid. But as the day wore on, and as more and more people went out of their way to say hello to me and make me feel welcome, my fear melted away. I, like many here, have some form of disability. We are learning how to survive and be useful in spite of our physical limitations. Above all, the policies and programs are fantastic. Just to name a few, they schedule many outside trips to notable places that bring the residents much enjoyment. There are numerous exercise programs available as well, such as Tai Chi and Ballet. There are painting activities, jewelry making, and Brain Health University classes. Those classes especially, keep our minds alert and help us to wake up from the slower pace that life can take. For those that prefer quieter forms of leisure, there is Bingo, cards, and board games available to anyone interested. My preferred hobby was bowling, and even though I am not able to bowl like I used to, I participate in Wii bowling and that really makes my day all the more enjoyable. I can’t say anything more other than my stay at Bellingham has been a blessing God sent to me. My only wish for anyone fearful of this stage of life is that they come and see for themselves what a beautiful lifestyle we have here at Bellingham Retirement Community.

It's been really good so far. We haven't had any complaints. The upkeep and the maintenance are good. We are happy with them. I would give them a five at this point.

Staff is friendly and welcoming. The apartments are being updated as tenants move out. Pleasant atmosphere and lots of things to do if you choose, or you can have your privacy.

Having lived at Evergreen, in Cincinnati, Ohio, for 9 years, also a Senior Lifestyle Community, I saw many, many, inept directors come and go. This is the same with Bellingham. I am writing this review so that you become aware of the many sterling qualities that Jason Shott has. He is what Bellingham has needed for many years. When presented with a problem, he always follows through. HE LISTENS! We appreciate him as our Executive Director. He is pleasant, readily available and gets involved. His thoughtfulness is well noted.

I have been at Bellingham for 8 months now and did not come here by choice. I was certain that I would hate it, but now I'm a converted fan. The people here have been wonderful to me and there are numerous activities for everyone from crafts, to book club. to bridge and drum circle. I look forward to having dinner at night with interesting engaging people. The dining room is very attractive with fresh flowers on the tables. The young people who serve us are cheerful and amusing,And Just sitting on my balcony enjoying the beautiful grounds is a favorite relaxing moment, I certainly would recommend it to others

I came here not of my own choice about 8 mos. ago. I was ready to hate it, but have been completely converted to "a fan". The people are truly a delight, the young servers in the dining room are always refreshing and all the activities keep me going. There have been some recent changes in staff, but all have been most positive. I especially look forward to dining at night with interesting engaging people. Living in a positive atmosphere helps me deal with my day to day challenges. Just sitting out on my balcony looking at the beautiful grounds lifts my spirits.
