AWFUL PLACE. Gone to hell in the last 2 years. They seem to have moved several from Assisted Living to Memory Care,($[removed]more a month). The staff is under qualified and very minimal at that. My mother-in-law laid in bed almost 24 hours without food or water, [date removed]. Eyes were matted shut, lips and tongue were crusted/dry. She says NO and they walk out, no encouragement or thought to helping her. When she would not wake up on Saturday, I ask who was in charge they said the Med Tech, she herself did not know what to do, finally I said take her to hospital. They also had no knowledge of the DNR she had in place, thankful she was not dead. They have a man in memory care that walks around and goes to other residents doors and literally walks in. I mentioned this to them because my MIL was nervous of him. They told me he was harmless, but to keep her door locked at all times, of course family cannot have a key to her room in memor

Absolutely horrible experience for my uncle. He was there 3 weeks and in the er 7 times. He had two injuries we were never notified about. He had a Catheter and they did not keep him clean or his bag emptied without us asking them to empty it. No communication returned by director or the head nurse. I had to clean his room, change his sheets and do his laundry. It took us asking them to bath him. It was 9 days until he was bathed. I would not put a dog there. Short staff. The director is awful. Misleading as to what their care involves. Just want the rooms filled but no care involved.

My loved one was a resident at Sunrise of Upper St. Clair and the experience was terrible. Basically, they didn't get her out of bed for weeks, never used the Hoyer lift, and the care was lacking. Then they sent us a $[removed] bill. I would definitely not recommend this facility to others.

The establishment is currently experiencing severe staffing shortages and appears unwilling to address the issue through hiring efforts. Insufficient personnel are allocated in key departments such as kitchen, nursing, and front desk, leading to a significant strain on existing staff. Regrettably, some employees resort to finding places to rest while on duty. The retention of tenants is notably low, with an average residency duration of only four months. Despite the facility's claims to provide engaging activities for residents, the lack of adequately staffed personnel hinders the promised outings. Consequently, the available options for residents are limited, primarily centered around consuming subpar cafeteria food. Furthermore, incidents of individuals who are meant to be under supervision displaying inappropriate behavior, such as yelling at staff and engaging in unsanitary acts like urinating in common areas, have been reported. 1. 1. It was not the right place for mom and they are only setup to manage a particular resident. We are moving out this week. 2. 2 sticky floors, urine smell and worse on furniture and in common areas. Dirty pullups left in garbage can days in room 3. 3. There are several people that made this place tolerable and made us rethink moving out sooner. Unfortunately, when they are not working or making facility decisions, it's not enough. 4. 2. This isn't a 1 only because of the few who were gems and obviously found their calling to care for this population 5. 1. We have been there long enough to see the REALLY bad meals and for whatever reason small portions or lack of offering food to the ones that are not all that bad. To compare, we had 5 days in hospital and the food was more appealing there! They serve high-sugar juice and sweets at every meal and only caffeine tea or coffee -it's not at all geared towards health 6. 2. They don't try to engage with everyone or have the staff to support doing this and instead activities are a task to accomplish... much like everything else 7. 1. you are willing to pay for peace of mind that your lo is cared for and cherished - when that stops happening, there is negative value

This place was a nightmare. The staff was always on their phone. My husband developed bed sores because they let him sleep in his recliner all day & night. Activities were non-existent. They were trying to get me to pay an extra $[removed]., but they would tell me what it was. I moved him from there after 3 months. In my opinion, if you want to punish a person, send them to this place.

Personally, I think all of these places are about the same.

I was so excited when I moved my mother into the Windsor Reflections two years ago. For the first year, everything was great. Then, once new administration took over, I noticed that communication essentially stopped, there were no familiar faces in staffing (come to find out this facility uses agency/staffing, which is not what I thought I signed up for as memory care needs to be run by familiar faces that no every little behavior and nuance a resident has). My mother was given the wrong medication several times which put her in the hospital twice, and the amount of times she has missed medication is too high to count. I highly recommend anyone considering this community to either keep looking or to install a camera and keep an eye on it so that when they try and lie that your loved one has showered this week, you can show them that it's actually been two weeks since the last shower. This was once a great community. Thankfully, like so many other families, we are no longer there.

Way over sold by sales team. Staff is overworked and undertrained in dementia care. Understaffed. Food is cold and underportioned. Activities are few and not stimulating. No spaces are clean thus lots of illness. Communication with families is poor. Memory care plays a third filled to independent and assisted living. Deeply disappointed for our father. Unsafe and unhealthy.

DO NOT be fooled by the smiling faces that greet you and what looks like a nice facility!! Things are NOT what they seem! There have been WAY TO MANY things that happened that don’t add up. STAY AWAY!!!

11/2023 My dad has now lived at Harborchase of Gainesville for over 3 years (since April 2020). I have repeatedly addressed continuing problems with administration staff in regard to his care services, that he is paying for as contracted, NOT being provided properly and consistently. I have been given many excuses for not providing his care service assistance and I have been given promises to correct the problems, but the same ones continue unresolved. I even have a video camera in his room so I can monitor his care regularly. IF YOU ARE EXPECTING YOUR LOVED ONE TO BE CARED FOR AS SPECIFIED IN THE CONTRACT AND "PLAN OF CARE", then go somewhere else. I have talked to other families who move their loved one after complaining many times. This just seems to perpetuate poor business practices and does not hold them accountable. I have retained an attorney to help me hold them accountable. [name & contact info removed]

It was referred to me by A Place for Mom.It was also closer to where I live so I am closer to visit her weekly now. The facility is under staffed. I would like my loved one to be involved in activities. But again there's no staff to help get them there.The service is definitely not worth the cost.

My wife and I recently had a very unfortunate experience while preparing for my mother-in-law to become a resident of The Windsor of Bradenton. This one star rating could've easily been avoided. The facility is well-kept. The apartments are nice. The food is very good. However, there is one person, who made the experience into a 6 month waste of time due to her complete lack of professionalism and tact. The really unfortunate part of this, is that this person is the Resident Director. Her total deficiency in emotional intelligence really should preclude her from being in this important position. This position requires someone with empathy for people that are making a life-changing decision for their parents. Very sad that she is devoid of a shred of it. We spent 6 months committed to moving mom to The Windsor of Bradenton. Preparing ourselves for the big move. Talking with staff and visiting and getting every indication, even after mom visited, that she would be a great fit. All this

While Windsor Senior Living of Bradenton seems to have some good attributes such as an aesthetically appealing facility, decent dining, and array of activities for the residences, the Administrative staff, specifically the Resident Director, in my opinion, needs disciplinary corrective action. From my perspective, The Resident Director is tarnishing the Legend brand and it's unfortunate Legend's has someone representing their brand that lacks the Emotional Intelligence and Relator capabilities required in this role; especially, when interacting with clients. I feel as though this person is better suited as an individual contributor. Be aware of discriminatory actions that I personally felt/ experienced and suspect bait and switch tactics.

Our experience started good. My parents were there over 3 years. We started noticing changes after about 9 months. They had trouble keeping a director. As directors changed, staff changed. My parents medications were not being given correctly. We had to make several formal complaints to get it corrected. Once Covid started, communication was horrible. When we were finally allowed to go in to the facility, we realized they weren’t cleaning. They did keep the front lobby area nice but the rooms were filthy. When we complained the Director told us they were short staffed so she wasn’t sure what we expected her to do. We pointed out that her door (which led to the courtyard) was leaking air. Maintenance fixed her door by putting packing tape all the around it so it couldn’t be opened. The Director of the facility and corporate were non-responsive so we found a stable facility a few miles away.

My parents had lived at HarborChase since 2021. My father has a suprapubic catheter that requires special licensing to care for him. I recently found out, unbeknownst to me, that this special license expired in 2021. In fact, when I asked the executive director to show me their license, she told me I could look for it on the wall of the facility. When I found it, I saw that it was marked as expired in April 2021. My parents no longer live there and I would not recommend it, in spite of the fact that the facility is lovely, clean, and most of the care staff is fairly good.

They did not take care of him, there is so much crap I could tell you but I do t have time right now. Horrible experience with them I actually should seek a lawyer on my deceased uncles behalf

Rude and inappropriate administration. Don’t buy in to their fake first impression. They trash talk other facilities while needing to much improve their own facility. Smells like feces. Poor resident care and low class employees.

This was a big mistake. While the facility is new and attractive, the service to slipshod. My mom has lived in assisted living there for three weeks. I'm already sorry I moved her there. I have spoken to management several times and received nothing but lip service. Their operations don't live up to their marketing materials or sales pitch. Very disappointed daughter of a resident.

Not safe for the cognitively impaired!!! Getting Mom out of there as quickly as possible. They can't keep staff. We have to go clothing shopping because Mom's clothing never comes back from the laundry. She barely has a thing to wear. She doesn't feel safe there. Traumatizing for her!
