Whatever you do, don’t place your loved one in this facility! They are extremely short staffed. There are a few very good caregivers but most of them are terrible. We witnessed a caregiver yelling at at resident that she was not their servant. The incident was reported and she is still working here. Eventually, the good ones leave because they are overworked and left alone to tend to all of the residents. Nights and weekends are especially bad. When management isn’t there to oversee, employees don’t perform their tasks and many times don’t show up. Meetings with management do not help! The management says they are working to correct the problems but nothing ever gets resolved. We pay for a lot of services that are not being given. His room stinks to high heaven at all times. Showers are skipped frequently, medications are not given when they are due, and if your parent needs help to go to the bathroom, you better be there to take them or it won’t get done. So unless your loved one is capable of doing EVERYTHING for themselves, or you plan to be on site 24/7 to give them the care they need, this is NOT the place for you. In my opinion, meadowood is guilty of elderly neglect and the state should shut the place down!

We have moved my Mom to another home. Our experience was unexpectedly bad. The facility is beautiful in appearance. The Executive staff are over the top friendly, but in a plastic, customer service way. Some of the nursing and care staff were excellent, but there are not enough who care. Too many who were directly involved were not professional. They acted like it was drudgery when asked to help and seemed frustrated when helping. Many times we found the same individuals talking about trivial matters back at the tables in the dining room. My mom had 5 falls in less than 1 month. We were not told about the 5th fall until hours after it happened. Due one of these falls, my mom broke her wrist. She fell again on the same wrist and re-injured the break. After the 5th fall we had her taken to the hospital and asked that she did not return.

My Mom fell the first time and they didn’t call me, two days later she fell and broke her hip, they talk a good line when they’re signing you up to get your money, it’s got an eye appeal that fools you, but you have to “pitch a fit” to get any problems resolved, I was extremely disappointed

Do not put your love one here. After the fact we heard many bad stories about this place. My father was in this place for a brief time. They had him in the wrong area of the place and at night he was found laying on the floor of his room.... no supervision at night he was rushed to the hospital and died... do not let this happen to you. Heartbreaking. They didn’t even give back the money that was due us being he was in there a brief time.. Put cameras in your room if you are there already and monitor what is going on at night.... I wish we would have :(

This place is a nightmare. Don’t be fooled when you go an meet with them. My father was here for a brief time. He was put into the wrong area with not the right supervision. He was found during the night on the floor helpless.. they rushed him to the hospital where he later died. They were not taking responsibility for their actions... I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, if you are already stuck there buy a small camera to put in the room to see what is going on. They were certainly not checking on my Dad....To date they have not given us back our money. Just terrible.

This facility claims that they have 24hour nursing services available, but there were months where no RN's were available on the weekends. Office Staff is not kind (once you're moved in). Portions of food are very small and not tasty.

My Mother was in Memory care, father was in assisted living. The first night no one checked on her from bed time to the morning shift. She went to the bathroom herself and and had an accident on the carpet. NO ONE was going to clean it up til the next day. Her room smelled heavily of urine. When she moved out, there was blood on the hall carpet for over 36 hours. She had an untreated open wound for 5 days. Finally treated the night before she left. She was not showered for over 2 weeks when she got there and not very often after that. The Executive Director was on her way out when they moved in and was never replaced in the 4 months they were there. Decoys were brought in for the state. Other ED's were splitting hours between theirs and this one. The sales person did her job, if you have problems when you move in don't look for any help from her. Fill a room and move on to the next warm body. My previous 2 negative reviews have been removed from this website and I just called the 800 # to see why? Real reviews should be on here. Large staff turn over. Many agency aids assist day to day. Small staff for number of residents. Management company in Texas is out of touch. When they are in touch from time to time they over promise and do not deliver! The food is good, the facility is lovely, the care is far below promised.

My mother was there for 4 years on the AL side. They didn't tell me they had found her roaming the parking lot several times until months later. When she showed signs of a UTI, they didn't even have the common sense to do a UA. When she fell and hit her head and broke her elbow, they didn't call me for 2 hours and did not call an ambulance. I took her to the hospital and they sent me with someone else's med list. When she came home from the hospital, I hired a 24 hour CNA for a week she was so bad. The chef [Removed] my CNA out of the dining area because it "looked bad".

Money-seeking place.The director [Removed] is rude and treat residents badly.

While mom was at the community the caregivers seemed to be nice and helpful. They were quick to respond when she fell. The community is clean and they do offer some activities. My complaint is that when mom went into the hospital after her fall the community decided they were not able to have her come back, however they did not notify us of this. I have not been able to have anyone respond to my calls as they have taken money from mom even though she is no longer there. I do not think it is right to treat a person this way.

I would never recommend this place to anyone it has been an absolute nightmare dealing with the administration at this community. They are very unprofessional and unorganized especially in the billing department. I have been waiting on a correct billing report for them for two months and every time I call and try to speak to someone they are very rude and disrespectful to me. Also the nurses that work there even told me that the website lies they have no special training that is provided to them before working. I will say the aids and nurses are the only thing good about this place the rest is awful.

The community was very clean and well kept. The staff was very kind getting my loved one settled in for respite care. They offered transportation for medical care a few times a week. My loved one fell ill and into the hospital only after a few days and I was still required to pay the whole stay we initially signed up for. The director was very hard to get a hold of and didn't make this situation any easier.

My parents were at this facility and it was the worse place ever. Anytime you had a complaint, you couldn't get the Director to talk to you. She would suddenly not be around. There were times that they didn't get their meds when they should and my father is a diabetic. I would never recomend this place to anyone.

I moved my husband into the Windsor and have since moved him to another community. It is a beautiful place but being so new I think they still have alot of kinks to work out. Not a great experience.

This is a terrible place for a patient with dementia or Alzheimer's. Their staff does not have the proper knowledge to care for people with these conditions. When my loved one was there, she was neglected. She was often found on the ground and was sent to the hospital continuously. The staff did not always update or communicate effectively the conditions of my family member. There are better places for people with dementia where there is round the clock care and the patients rights and needs come first. This place was over priced and some of the staff was very neglectful.
