I think he's liking it as well as he can, its very nice, comfortable, friendly and the food its good. It seems like they're ironing some problems out; they seem to have a large turnover in administration, the aids and such and also the resident director. When we went there she was new and she's gone already and there's another new one today. Things aren't the way they should be with the staff, theres confusion with transportation and you have to pay for vans on your own and that's annoying to me because hes paying the top for care. Once they get some stability in the administration maybe things will change. I think its because of lack of supervision, its not a bad place, I'm going to wait and see if things change with this new director of residence.

The rooms were nice and big, The place look beautiful inside and out but the prices were very high. when the I was taken to the secured area it appear like they took out the patients and were working with just because I was there.

I did not like this community and did not get a good feeling about this community. The tour was not good and we did not like this community it had a nursing home vibe and was not as clean as what we were looking for.

I would encourage you to look elsewhere. The Regent is on the expensive side. The food isn't ample enough for the residents, sometimes you are made to feel like you don't matter in the dining room. The food is mediocre. Some of the activities include arts, music, speakers, shopping trips, and more for the residents to participate in. If there is something the residents wants to do, the activities director tries to make it happen.

The community had left dirty clothes in my loved one's apartment. It didn't seem like they weren't doing their job or didn't have enough staff. There was a caregiver that was on their phone during a visit. Only one caregiver that was nice. We only wanted female caregivers and they used a male caregiver after explicate instructions. The communication was great from the community though.

Be Attentive. Visit often to avoid surprises...

The care has gone down since Legend took over this facility. The food quality has also suffered and basic dishes, like grilled cheese, is no longer offered. There are no accommodations for people who don't like the options for meals - like a sandwich, etc. You are served only what is served. the taste of the food has gotten worse also. Water quality in the facility has become an issue. Residents are complaining of grit in the water and recently breaking out in a rash. Staff do not listen to residents' complaints despite having meetings to discuss issues.

Looks beautiful on the outside. Had a tour and thought the atmosphere was homey and nice. The deal breaker was the condition of the tiny apartment we were shown. It was old, dingy, and didn't match up with the building's exterior.

We have two years experience at this community. We are still waiting on new carpet. Trim is off the cabinet, reported multiple times, still waiting to be glued. Weekly cleaning is not thorough enough. Although dad could make his bed, when mom was alive and living there the bed was made daily. Don’t understand this. When things are brought to their attention, staff avoids you and are less available. During this time the community has had complete administrative and nursing staff turnover. Each time we visit the door code has changed which is an indication someone has quit or been let go. One on the CMAs seems to be a snitch and reports every little thing. Trust is becoming an issue. Someone in leadership needs to stop by or be around at evening meal. This seems to be the toughest time when servers are not cooperating with one another to serving the residents. Seems money is the focus of the care. I don’t understand the scoring method for the best of senior living award. Although a nice place, it certainly does not give the feeling of home nor has the facility delivered all the warmth positive experience we were sold when we made the decision to move in.

I wasn't too impressed with the layout of this community and the fact that there was a wall unit instead of central air with a thermostat. There were a lot of amenities for the residents but it felt more like a fancy hotel than a community and I knew my dad would not be a good fit here.

We loved Legend and the staff but were not told the truth about cost when we moved in. Get everything in writing including the cost if your loved one needs to move into the Memory Care Unit.

My parents resided here for a year. In the beginning when they did not need much care it was very good. However as they needed more care (which you pay for) the service level dropped. I believe they are understaffed and not well trained. They seem to care more about appearances, such a 10 year anniversary party that was over the top, rather than training and paying staff well. Weekend help is pretty bad and despite giving feedback nothing changed. They are very focused on money. They charge for everything, including rubber gloves. What sums it up was I turned my parents key in, the only thing they asked was "Are you paid up?" There are other places that provide better care and are newer. My parents in the end were very disappointed.

The apartment was nice and the proximity to UF. I feel like there was a bate and switch as far as the services they were going to provide. I was guaranteed that my mother would receive that extra over site she needed for the transition phase and instead they immediately placed her into memory care for 8 hours a day and charged a extra [Amount Removed]. That possibly was never presented to me. For complete FULL care level 5 it's [Amount Removed]. There secret level 6 was never talked about. It was WAY disproportionate to the amount of effort of going and getting my mom in her apartment and having her sit in memory care for 8 hours. for someone with dementia whose only enjoyment is walking, reading and watching TV, she couldn't walk outside, there were VERY limited books in memory care and the cable in her room only worked maybe 50%of the time.

We moved my mother in Heartis which had a chef and great service. Since Legends took them over and they became Remington there has been massive staff turnover. The food is now inedible and my mother states they are now receiving half portions due to budget cuts. The food quality is horrific using only unhealthy and processed food. There is often no or one wait staff for a 100 people. I went to the Christmas party and with the new Rec dirctor it was chaos. Food was barely available and if you wanted an inedible cookie you had to navigate through tables to get it-many of these residents are mobility impaired. We were not all served a drink at our table and were given a small plate with a few crackers and some cheese. I will say the entertainer was great. It feels like Legends puts profits before seniors. We were basically baited and switched buying into one place and being stuck with another and its not so easy to move a senior family member.

I would give them a 2 out of 5. Food has gone downhill since Legends took over. Under staffed on aides. Keep changing the director and RN director

Response times horrible. Sometimes waited 45+ min for anyone to come after using call button. Excuse was always not enough people. Food wasn't bad when first moved in but got worse as time went on. No variety bland taste small portions.

The staff we had some were decent and I think some didn't care ,but she lots of scrapes and brushing and my mom didn't walk so either she was dropped on transfers or just untrained staff. They would put her in her room and shut the door . We only stayed 6 months and transferred her to a better facility.

It broke my heart to see my mom, not getting the care that she was getting at home. It was too much for us and apparently too much for them also. Sadly, she passed after four months there. The owners of this company need to have better staffing, ratios, and people to answer the phone at night

We were actually in the process of pulling Dad out when he passed. My daughter was going to resign her position to stay home to take care of him. My Mother was going to use part of the $[removed] a month to pay her & another caretaker to help with Dad. At the time we had paid in advance and were willing to lose the fees if needed, that's how dissatisfied we were with our choice. I do believe that had he not been in the memory care unit we may have had a better experience. I would not recommend them to anyone I know in need of memory health care.
