My husband was in the memory care section. There was a lot of turnover of the staff and a lot of cell phone use by the staff within MC. There were little to no activities provided to engage the residents. The food was not the same as the assisted living side even though they claim it was. It was mostly carbs, very few vegetables. It took multiple conversations to get them to stop hung my husband who is diabetic, sugary drinks. When I would arrive to visit in the evening the aids would announce while In the common area about anything my husband did that was negative. The water was off in his shower for a week so he did not shower for a week. The room size was ok, but they would lock him out all day, then get irritated because he couldn't find the common restroom or it was too late for him by the time another resident came out. They promised a new activity director for MC but after one week they moved her to Assisted Living so she only occasionally did activities for a maybe 30 minutes. MC can not engage in the Assisted Living activities unless an outside caregiver is with them. They gave him the wrong dosage of meds multiple times. There were many promises made when we moved him there and most were broken. I think the assisted living side is probably fine, but I have no experience on that side. Unfortunately I have found that most facilities do not train staff or care about engaging memory care residents. The few that appear to are very expensive.

There has been a lot of changes the short time we have been at Legends. Its a very lovely decoration and comfortable. It appears to be an upscale facility Being new and not understanding details of all the charges what to expect was a little unsettling to me. We are still trying to figuring out our financial budget taking care of two households [name removed] apartment and our home. Not Legends problem I know. But the charges for med tech & so called medical assistance is extremely over charges for what little they do. The food has recently improved but delivery to residents and taking orders are very unorganized and [name removed] is always last to be served and his food is always cold. I know for my loved one and a few other residents would thrive better if they had more social events like themed once a month celebration. A lot of residents don't enjoy playing games or crafting. Especially the men. And not really encouraged to participate so they set alone in their room and watch TV. The entertainment that comes in they really enjoy. My husband does enjoy his therapy. Overall it's a nice place and my husband is pleased with his apartment. Building is clean comfortable and very nice. For me I have concerns of security issues and safety for employees & residents. Training in both areas would be helpful

It's close proximity to me. Able to visit anytime. Improvements. I don't really know my mom was only there a very short time.

Nice facility and very nice staff Probably under staffed with lapses in care. We expected better personal care.

Make certain that the patient DOES get reassessed every 30 days, as they had initially stated would happen. It did not which is why our mother needed to go to another facility.

Her apartment didn't get cleaned for 4 months because apparently they were short staffed. She felt like the administration was not up front about price increases. The non-admin staff was friendly and helpful.

[name removed] was at Green Tree 1 yr. The best thing I can say is that some people who work there, love their pts. Genuinely, care and spend time being "present" with patients. One such is [name removed], med tech in memory care! [name removed]was in often hungry. We dropped in to take her to dinner at least 1 evening per week. On her bday, We literally got her from the dinner table at green tree where we were told she had eaten dinner and desert. She then she ate a 12 oz steak from Roadhouse! Evelyn weighed 117lbs! That was only once, there were many times that she ate a whole meal after having "eaten" at Green Tree. Her wedding rings were lost while in assisted living. I reported it but administration didn't hear above it for almost a year. Her phone and two pair of glasses were lost while in memory care. Not as shocking, but still she needed her glasses. She was given her meds and her neighbors meds and ended up in ER and nobody from Green Tree called to tell me it happened. The only way I knew was the Hospice nurse called me to check on [name removed]. That was not the only medication error but that one was the most severe. When she fell, she was sent to ER alone. Dementia pt laying in a hallway or room at the end of the hall--all alone. Hospice even said that was not appropriate. I just believe corners are cut, important situations are not reported and there are not enough people who care about the patients. My aunt went to assisted living at Green Tree with dementia. I kept asking if she was able to function with that level of care and was told "oh yes, we have people who are far worse". We left town on vacation for the first time in years believing she was safe. She was there less than 1 week, and I got a call that they were transferring her to memory care which was much more expensive. They knew I was out of state what could I do? The same thing happened with Evelyn in less than 1 month. When it happens Two times it starts to feel like a "bate and switch" scheme.

They give you 2 main options to choose from for every meal plus there are regular options everyday you can choose from if you don't want the main options they offer. The aides are a bit slow at serving or maybe the residents are just too hungry. My mother loves the daily activities! [name removed] is great with them. [name removed] in customer service is very nice. The staff is very friendly and the residents seem to enjoy the different activities, such as, karaoke, bingo, and listening to old time music. Also, every Friday there is a Happy Hour where you can have a little wine and a snack before dinner. Oh I almost forgot, there is a movie theater as well. So plenty of things to do at The Province.

I would rate The Gables a 3. Very average. I truly do not see any staff go above and beyond their duties. As a retired corporate Training/ Employee Development Specialist, I'm surprised at the lackadaisical work ethics by some staff. This is only my observation and my experience. New management (Legends) has taken over The Gables. Many new improvements (renovations, roof, landscaping, etc. ) has been incorporated, however, I don't think staff development / residents care is a priority. Staff training and inspirational motivation are difficult to achieve if leadership is not focused on residents' satisfaction.

They evaluated my Dad as appropriate for assisted living. We were fine with the assisted living environment there. After 2 weeks, they told us he belonged in their memory care unit. And that was probably the correct place for him. But I didn't like the memory care unit there and I felt and still feel that it was a clear case of bait and switch. I had heard and they even told me that they were trying to fill the memory care floor and had been having a difficult time placing people there. I still have a bad taste from that experience.

Great facility, terrible food

We were mostly satisfied with the Assisted Living part. We were not happy with the Memory Care. Manager and sales manager are excellent. The lead nurse has left so not sure how that's going. The response time to residents definitely needed to be improved. Supervision was lacking in memory care. The activity director was very good.

Facility is good. Rooms are set up for accessibility but there are maintenance problems with plumbing and ill-draining shower. Common areas are clean and well maintained. They are consistently understaffed. The cleaning crew does a poor job of cleaning the rooms, medication delivery is late most days. Staff does not address issues in a timely manner.

If your loved one is unable to feed themselves, they just leave the food on a table next to them. Even when you ask for weekly weights, they do not do it. The food was great, but they can't keep staff and the residents wait forever just to be served. The activities were frequent and had great variety. When they want you out, they give you very little time to find other accommodations complaining to your loved one that you aren't actually even looking.

The things I like most about Province is the food and the cleanliness. The staff is very friendly when I go to visit. They have a van and car that we were told would take the residents on trips to a local store, casino, etc but nothing has been running in the past 5 or 6 months. They have also raised the monthly rent 15% which I think is excessive and have not improved anything. If there is another raise such as that we will not be able to stay there.

The first problem with this facility is communication, also you don't always get what you paid for. The facility will make changes on rate without notice. They don't write done important information, also always check your payment to make sure it's posted correctly.

Too close to railroad at 2AM, the man upstairs noisy on bathroom. Can't fix location. Food service the worst. Pre lettuce salad after main course. The staff is very unorganized.

The courtyard is very nice. A few staff members are very responsive and kind. There is often a smell just before entering front door and just past the cafeteria that smells of human waste. Response time for special meds for allergies, headaches and stomach issues.

It is a beautiful facility. They have independent, assisted and memory care. Patients are encouraged to participate in activities. There is a beautiful movie theater, pub, several dining areas to choose from. Hairdresser on premises weekly. n the negative side, there is a terrible shortage of staff and it can take an hour to get an aide to answer the light. That is not their fault. They have too many patients to care for.

There was Occasional inadequate staffing - things don't get done . Food was poor.
