The staff has been really sympathetic to me and responsive to me. I did, however, not feel that things were very well organized. There were things that I thought I would get the first day or two (schedules, introduction to who people are and how things work, etc.) that I still have not received.

Windsor of Lawrence has proven to provide really good quality care, although it may be the case that dad's condition makes him not the best fit. I do feel like more could have been done prior to him moving in to ask some specific questions to see if he would be a good fit or not. So if there is one area of improvement I would recommend it would be to provide better screening before accepting a new resident in there. Again, they are great nice people and do a lot to help, but just seems that it may be a little out of scope for our needs.

All in all it's really been pretty good. Anything we have had problems with, they have been very quick to remedy. The staff has been very helpful, there is a high turnover, but not with key personnel. The billing has taken a minute to get right. This was one of the more expensive places, but it was the most convenient, and appear to be the best selection. Everything is an additional fee, it isn't all inclusive. The key staff and personnel are very attentive, and the care is good. They have railings, and lounges for the residents to stop and rest when they are walking. There is even one girl that checks on my loved one on her days off. They do have agencies, that help with staffing, so there are some new people from time to time, that aren't always as efficient as the regular staff. She has made friends there. She likes the food for the most part. It's always pretty clean, but there have been a couple of times that the bathroom wasn't as clean as I would like, and I didn't know that we needed to bring our own trash bags. There are little housekeeping things that could be better, but it doesn't smell bad or anything. One thing about them is that the speaker is in the living room, but the pull cords are in the bathroom and the bedroom and there isn't a speaker in each area with the cord. The social director is so terrific, she comes in and makes sure that she knows what's going on and encouraging her to come out. They have a family day every month and a different theme every month, they are very warm and they give her hugs. It's a lovely place, very nice.

This was one of the places we looked at when we were touring. It was beautiful and the apartments were big. The staff was very friendly. They seemed like they were doing a good job of keeping the residents entertained and having fun. I didn't see a lot of one on one care, and frankly it didn't look like many of the residents really needed it. I just don't think it was the best fit for us.

I find the staff at Emeritus in Gainesville Florida to be top notch. I do have one problem though. I do feel that they are very much overpriced. I understand and appreciate that my grandmother is getting the very best of care but I think it could be done at a price to where it doesn't bankrupt a person savings so quickly

Eva (my stepmom) likes it. She gets to mingle with people and do different things. One thing that is good is that take Eva is taken across town once a week to visit my dad. She was staying at the place where my dad was at but because of the bad situation and the atmosphere of that place, Eva's physician told her he would not recommend that she stay there. She is doing much better at this facility.

Overall I think they do very well at The Wellington at Oklahoma City, with one major exception. The facility itself is very nice, and always clean and well kept. The staff are very nice, and take great care of the residents. The biggest issue we're having is the food. It isn't healthy or balanced at all. They serve far too many fried dishes, and very few vegetables. They have a salad bar but it has always been poorly stocked when I've seen it.

Staff has been courteous. Staff was proactive in getting his level of care evaluated. Staff visited with my Senior where he was. We were disapointed in the $100 charge for each insurance form completed. To date day to day care has been fine.

Lovely place but can't presently afford it.

They’re very willing to work with you. My loved one can be a bit difficult and they were very helpful in getting her concerns resolved. The parking has always been sufficient. I haven’t really had a chance to try the food so I can’t speak to that.

They have would take a five in activities, even if my loved one doesn’t do a lot of them – the do have a lot of activities available. They are very well managed and they do a very good job. They’re so much better than where we had out loved one before.

Visited office, warm friendly staff. Menu adequate, allows for substitutions, they told us of many activities that residents can participate in. Invited to opening of the Ortega facility on Sunday. Will have a better feel when we can see the physical building and meet staff. RN coordinator and LPN's on staff. So there are professionals on site. More after Sunday

Too Expensive.Very nice place though.

The facility is spotless and classy, with caring, concerned staff members. Some of the activities entice even those who tend to be loners. The Nurse on site 24/7 has been the most impressive feature here, and the most beneficial. My mom has fallen several times without having the paramedics called in. If there are questions about meds etc. a nurse calls the Dr. And takes care of it. Peace of mind for me! The food is a 3 of 5, adequate but not great. There are occasional glitches in care such as shower times, but they get worked out. It is not one on one care, but all my mom's needs have been met. Even incontinence is handled with compassion. I feel good about my mom's new home.

Overall, we are pleased. One area of improvement would be the overall quality of the food. Also, the friendliness of the staff could use a little improvement. A couple of the staff members don't seem to have the brightest attitude. I understand it's a tough job and most of the staff would be a 4, but some of them are not the friendliest. However, we were initially impressed by the facility and the staff members we met. They were also one of the only ones in Lawrence that will take medicaid after their funds run out. We felt real comfortable here and it's close to home, so we didn't even look anywhere else!

it was a lovely facility and I think mom would be very happy there. Unfortunately, they did not have a room that she needs, and offered me the next size up, for a reduced rate for 3 months. If one is not available in 3 months, I would be responsible for the entire rent for the larger room. I am thinking about putting a deposit on the smaller, original room, but who knows when one will be available.

The only reason I did not give a higher ranking on some areas is because my loved one has not been their a year. I would give 5+ stars for the facility lay out and set up. The food is very good and they are very generous with it. They have lots of activities and a bus to take residents out for a little excursion and sometimes to get ice cream. Hailey, the RN is very receptive and very caring.

Other than a corner room with a southern and western exposure, views were a little limited. Food is probably best here, but it is also the most expensive. Mom does not drink, never has, so the 3 glasses of free wine per day would be a bit of a turn-off to her.
