Legend Senior Living

My father has been living at Heartis for almost one year. It has continued to grow and improve from day one. Recently, my Dad went on a trip to Wegman's for a grocery shop. The driver [name removed] volunteered to shop for him because Wegman's was out of scooters so he took my dad's list and shopped for him. They have continued to try to go over and above for him and for that I'm grateful. My only hope is that they will continue this in the dining department as well. This is the only area that we see can use more improvement. I appreciate the entire staff and their kindness toward my father.

This facility is fairly new, it's bright and on only one floor. The apartments are a good size and the bathrooms are nice and large. The kitchenettes are set up well. They are a bit short staffed and that has an impact in some areas. The staff is friendly and I appreciate the fact that within a week or two everyone greeted my mom by name and in a very pleasant manner. They do offer activities, but sometimes they are a bit juvenile. But I appreciate the fact that they try to get the residents involved. They provide housekeeping and it is done well and the person doing it is very nice. The facility is clean and it always looks and feels clean and fresh. I would recommend it to others.

I toured this facility and it was very good. Good location. Price was just a little higher than we were looking for.

I thought Anthology of McCandless looked clean, nice, and new. But they were not able to meet my loved one's medical needs.

I had an overall positive impression. The facility seemed clean and new. My loved one's medical needs were just too great for them to meet.

This facility is definitely clean. The nurses are great as far as regular weekly staff. The weekend care is rough. They just don't seem to know what to do or be on the same page. I think they use a temp agency on the weekend. I understand staffing is a problem everywhere, but it just doesn't work well. As a retired nurse, I can tell you that skilled nursing is lacking. I can tell that by some of the phone calls I get from them. For example, one time he had a rash and they called me panicked and acted like it was life or death. I had to walk her through basic assessment questions and calm her down. I can't imagine someone who is not a nurse getting that call and not being thrown into a panic. The dining room is just not good. The food is not good. I would say my brother sends his meal back 75% of the time because it's just not edible. Housekeeping is supposed to be once a week, but I'm not sure that's happening. I sometimes go there and things aren't clean in his room. If I bring it to their attention, they take care of it, but I shouldn't have to do that. This is a new facility and they definitely have growing pains, they're on their third executive director. Overall, I would recommend them to friends and family.

We toured with HarborChase of Tallahassee and the outside had a nice appearance and it was upkept. I am sure this is just the nature of the beast, but the memory care unit felt very institutional. It was just not going to be the right fit for my loved one.

Our family had an in person tour and it is a really nice facility an the room they showed us was lovely with a nice patio. However we were just not impressed with the staff we felt they stereotyped our loved one based on nothing and we just knew it wasn't going to be a suitable place for him.

They do everything well. I highly recommend them. Like most health care facilities they at times seem understaffed but they do a very good job considering the difficulties they encounter in today's environment.

Have lived here nearly two years. Love my apartment & it's location. Lots of things to do. My wing does not have a washer-dryer which is difficult for me. Love our front office staff, always very polite and helpful.

Arbor house was a lovely choice for our mother. The facility is clean and the food is good.

Heartis Bucks County was brand new. It seemed too city-like for my father, just not a good fit for his personal preference. It was also very expensive, probably the most expensive place we looked at.

I toured Legend of Colorado Springs, and they were a little more narrow as they only had assisted living and memory care - but no independent living options. We chose another community because Legend had no garage availability or putting green - and that was not something we wanted to give up, if we didn't have to.

It's expensivve but worth it. It is a very nice community and the staff is very friendly. Overall, it has been a goed experience.

The people seemed very nice, and the facility seemed very clean. It just wasn't homey enough for our taste. It had cathedral ceilings and was just too extravagant for my mom's preference.

During my mother's time at Windsor there were a great many staff changes. These changes caused interruptions and a decrease in activities and routines. I had high hopes for the programs and services which were not realized due to the constantly changing staff. There were some improvements being made in regular staffing at the time that my mother passed, but they were still without a HealthCare Director. I do feel she was cared for, she had gained weight and the environment and her room were clean. There were some wonderful staff members who were there throughout her stay and they were the only reason she stayed as long as she did. Legends administrative staff were interested and responsive to my concerns and seemed to take my them seriously.

It is a very nice facility and I am pleased. There are always some issues here and there no matter where you are at, but they are easy to communicate with and take care of things in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend Legend at Mingo Road to others.

The director of Legend at Council Road [name removed] is very approachable and pays great attention to detail - whenever we come to her with questions she is right on top of it and we really appreciate that. When we do come to visit we do think the activities seem good. The meals need some improvement - they are not as nutritious as we had thought and hoped for

Our loved one was previously a resident here and they had great activities 7 days a week - on Sunday's they would have family bingo. They had adequate staffing and they would split up their staff team to make sure they had nurses and day to day staff 7 days a week on sight.

The Meadowood Assisted Living community is very very clean and well taken care of and the staff members are super friendly. We really appreciate the little gestures they do when we come to visit they are very complimentary. For example one day when we came to visit one of the ladies who was taking a drink cart to another event stopped by to give our loved one her favorite drink and gave myself and my son a piece of dessert to go with our dinner. The nurse there has been a great help to our family so far. The meals and dining service is very nice. Right now the activities are lacking and somewhat slipping through the cracks on the memory care side, but on assisted living they are fantastic. It is pricey - we originally started out with the a la cart plan but it just seems a little like nickel and dime so we do not recommend that. We would recommend this community to other families though based on our experience so far.
