They're understaffed and suffering because of it, especially in the kitchen. They make you believe they will be more interactive than they actually are. Grounds are beautiful. And the residents are friendly and kind. Overall would recommend.

Small size community made it more welcoming and easier to navigate. Facility was very clean. Other residents seemed happy. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. So many little details that I didn't think to ask about that we had to learn as we went such as laundry, night care, how to approach things with dementia. I think all assisted living is ridiculously high cost. But would recommend Sunrise of University Park to others.

It's a great place and my mom loves it. The Windsor is actually right across the street from where my mom lived for her entire life. It's also just down the street from my house, so it allows me to visit regularly. They have tons of different activities, such as shopping g trips, beach trips, arts and crafts, bingo, cards, movie night, and I think even cooking classes to name a few off the top of my head.

I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

What we really like about the community is the kind doting staff. Beautiful surroundings like mums home. All inclusive pricing. Basically one of only places in area that she can stay till end of life - dis not want to move her second time.

They got a new chef, so the food is not as good. We picked this community, because it was closer to my house. It would be nice if added awareness programs for the residents. I would recommmend to other families.

I have written letters, to get filthy furnace filters replaced-took forever. Their big pitch is chef prepared meals. They are ineatible. Also, housekeeping is a joke- sparatic at best and way underfar. Biggest complaint- incre4ase in rent, and not even here 1 year.

This was a nice community. It was not the right fit for my loved one.

We had some concerns in the beginning about our loved one being kept clean and tidy, so once we brought up these concerns to their attention every time we call or our family goes to visit she is kept clean so we are glad they are following through with that.

If we were under different circumstances, I think it would have been a very nice place. The staff were all very caring and helpful - I cannot say enough about how great they were. I did get injured by the physical therapist [name removed].

The staff is very friendly. But the attention to detail and follow-through is poor.

This is a beautiful, very clean, well maintained facility. Housekeeping is once a week and pretty good. Laundry is once a week and returned the same day. My loved one participates in a lot of activities and the outings that they have. The meals seem to be somewhat repetitive (for example: chicken several days in a row). Generally, I think my loved one is in the best place possible. No place is perfect, but things are going well here. It's a real nice place and cleaner than home. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

This is a good community. There are times the resident will have to wait longer then expected for for caregivers to respond to the call buttons. The staff communication with the family and friends has been good when we have questions or concerns. There are three meals a day served and there are choices to choose from for the residents.

The people and the way they present themselves really stood out to us here. Lots of activities. They just made you feel that you would be in a safe and happy environment. Housekeeping is included but had some minor issues and now assessed.

Response time can be challenging on occasion. They seem to be short staffed. When searching for a place for your loved ones you don't know what you don't know so ask every question and address every concern!! Assisted living facilities try to make "cookie cutter environments" fit your needs and they just don't.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. My mom feels safe there and has made a lot of friends. There are a lot of activities. They do a lot for the residents for holidays and things like that. I like that the families are always welcome to join in on activities/parties as well. I would definitely recommend Sunrise of Lenexa to other families.

When deciding on a place, we expressly asked about staffing and were told there was very little to no turnover. As it turns out, they are now having staffing shortages, so some of the services that we're paying for are not getting completed in a timely fashion. I will say that Legends is doing everything it can to keep up with the services promised, And they have always gotten them completed. But we have had to call them and ask that they complete the services before they get done. Otherwise, it's truly a Ritz Carlton style of living in Topeka, KS that we didn't expect to find there. And overall, we are very very pleased with Legends. It is truly the best, and we could not be more thrilled that our mother is there. We just wish they would get the staffing issues worked out.

My loved one moved from assisted living at a different facility to memory care here at River Oaks. As a fairly independent resident without a lot of care needs, there are a lot more limitations in memory care than he's used to. And they're not quite up to giving someone like that care that's targeted towards someone like him. The other memory care residents aren't cognitively able to interact with him very much, so it's been hard. But he's a compulsive walker and is able to safely walk the halls in the memory care unit. And the people there are very nice.

Not enough staff. Follow through isn't great. They only have life alerts in the room. At the price all residents should be. Wearing life alerts at all times. The main staff are wonderful, caring people. Food is fresh and very good.
