The entire staff was friendly, helpful, answered questions and helped to make my sister comfortable. My sister seems to have adjusted well to the facility thanks to everyone’s efforts. They do not hesitate to contact me if my sister requests it.

The facility is a good place if your loved one has less than moderate case of dementia or alzheimers. The aides are not as responsive to residents who need more attention. Activities are limited in nature. Residents have to be pretty much capable of doing things for themselves. The aides are nice though just not all that responsive to needs of less capable residents. Additional services are pricier than other assisted living facilities I have been too or visited.

We love how the Landing always welcomes friends and family. Mom has bunco there every month with old friends and the staff bends over backwards to make it so nice! There is always a bright atmosphere and the staff encourages residents to get out of their rooms and join activities. When Mom moved in, she would only go to the dining room for one meal a day and ate the rest in her room. Now she is happy to go to the dining room for all her meals and joins activities every day.

Staff is very friendly and genuinely seems to care. Food is just okay. It's very clean and updated. Best thing is the 1 story and rooms that open up into the courtyard. I do wish they would add some more activities besides Bingo.

Sunrise of Lenexa is a positive community. My mom feels safe there. The staff are so nice. Every staff member pitches in to help during special occasions. The community includes family in many events.

Overall good experience. Yes i would recommend.

I would recommend this facility for the care of my loved ones. They care for their customers. The feedback that I received on the food is that they variety and serving size (more) could be improved.

I'm rating on my experience while there, however my brother is the client. Yes we would recommend the community to other families. They've been very accommodating to me. Received feedback well. Try to be responsive and my brother is well settled in. I'm going to hate to move him once the money runs out because he seems the happiest he's been in a long while.

I would definitely recommend Legend of Lancaster to others. They can handle many situations that are normally handled only by a nursing home. Hospitals and rehabs constantly said an assisted living wouldn't accept my mom, but Legend of Lancaster did and in my opinion did very well. All of the staff were friendly. I feel the long term staff went out of their way to make my mom comfortable. Unfortunately, they were experiencing a fairly high turnover at the end. The food was really very good. I ate many meals there and they were very good. Housekeeping was above average. The bathrooms in the rooms could have been cleaned more frequently, but were at least average. The move in process was very easy, and they were willing to supply most furniture including a tv at no additional cost. Communication was above average. They called day and night when necessary. The one improvement I would suggest is more staffing. They would frequently put a large number of residents in the TV room with no one to supervise them. That seems to be when arguments or falls were a little more common. They also partner with a very capable physical therapy group that did wonders for my mom. I would absolutely recommend Legends of Lancaster.

The meals are of good quality. The move in was a smooth process. Like many places, they are short of help. I would recommend this facility, as they do a lot of things right and they seem to care about their residents.

We were hoping for monthly communications with the nursing director. We have more communication now that dad is on hospice and more caregivers are involved in his care.

[name removed] was a real pain to deal with and lied to us several times. They have great food. The staff is very attentive that works with them every day. The price is outrageously expensive. There are a lot of places close that are as good for thousands less per month.[name removed] is great to work with

The staff has entirely changed over since the opening of the facility. Not as caring and approachable as the initial staff. Not sure they have enough staff to give adequate attention to assisted Living residents needing a frequent amount of care. Residents claim quality of food is not good. They feel it's not fresh.

[name removed] the sales Mgr is terrific as is [name removed] the nurse,. [name removed] and [name removed] are also good. [name removed] who is the head of the dining room is absolutely wonderful. Always concerned for her residents. I don't know alot of the aids because my mom is on hospice and has her own Bayada team that takes care of her personal needs. My mom does talk highly about [name removed]. A few people including my mom are on oxygen and they have limited time with their tanks. So outside activities off the property have to keep that in mind. The onsite activities- there doesn't seem to be a lot of participation- I think the residents may need to be reminded of these activities every few hours. The elders are forgetful. Only about 3-4 people show up for on site activities

My Dad stayed here in [dates removed]. My Dad had Parkinson's and I needed full time care for him. When we first began here at Legends it was wonderful. Here's the But....after a few months a major staff change happened. After that care was shady. I came everyday pretty much to make sure things were getting done and that my dad was cared for properly. The staff that was consistent I fell in love with but the contracted staff were questionable at times. So just beware when you put a loves one in a place to make yourself known to them, show up at random times.

Overall, it's a great place! The place always seems bright and clean. The staff is typically very friendly and helpful, just turnover of caregivers seems high (but I believe that would be for any facility). My father isn't a fan of the food, but he only complains to me about it. Even though it seems a bit expensive, my parents are overall happy and well taken care of.

This facility common areas are usually very clean but like most facilities a person does need to follow-up and check in at different times to insure the room care is clean and orderly. I do not want to give the wrong impression because generally the rooms are maintained and clean. The management (directors) are responsive to suggestions and concerns but sometimes there should be more accountability with the aids. Generally the value for the money is about average for memory care facilities and the management staff is very friendly and responsive. The aids probably could use more training in dealing with dementia patients such as how to redirect them during their difficult times. Also the entire staff from aids to housekeeping need to show more attention to personal items such as clothing, etc to insure that these things are returned to the proper rooms. Too many items are lost or picked up by other patients and never found.

We picked this community because, my dad said it felt like a homey environment. This also means it has a human scale -- big enough to offer a variety of settings and gathering places, but small enough to be comfortable and accessible distance-wise. We would recommend the facility for people seeking a safe, welcoming place, with a helpful staff with a range of activities and services. We appreciate the nursing staff, the med techs, and the salon professional. The folks we see in the dining room clearly know my parents and their preferences. [name removed] at the front desk is VERY helpful. Overall, all the staff are friendly and do their best to help.The one area that needs improvement from the perspective of my parents is the food.

Windsor Reflections, it's a leadership and team that has truly been a gift to me and my family. They are so kind and patient with my mom who has been there 3+ years. She loves the staff and thinks the place is beautiful. The food is great as well. Family night really demonstrates how much they care not only for their residents but almost their families. Alzheimer's is tough on families. The longer I visit there, the more I realize how important it is to live in the moment. Not yesterday or tomorrow. Thank you!
