The most negative thing I have heard is that the food could be better. Overall, this is the best place for my friend to be.

The food staff seemed especially short handed. The facility seemed to have different group activities every afternoon, happy hour, sing alongs, ice cream socials, etc. The residents seemed to enjoy those.

value would be a 5 if the food was as good as it was under previous management/owners. the major issue by all that live there seems to be the food quality, often cold , a lot of carbs, minimal veggies and meet. Obviously the cost will continue to rise making it unaffordable for many people looking for long term assisted living.

The apartments here are nice, a little dated but nice. You can bring your own furniture. Everyone is very nice and always say your name. Even the residents do. The food in the dinning room is pretty bad. Most everything is breaded. Breakfast is good. It's hard to pick good things when you have diabetes. The commons areas have recently been redone. They look very nice. Maintenance takes its time to fix things that are broken. Our apartment has an outside door but I'm on the list for a garage so my car is outside.

We chose The Windsor of Venice because of the hurricane proof building, no need to evacuate the residents in a storm. Also, a nurse is on duty 24/7, not simply on call like other facilities. The facility is super clean and the building is built to withstand a category 5 hurricane which is very important here. The food has been good and bad, they are undergoing changes in kitchen staff and operations. It will improve.
