Legend Senior Living

My mom moved into Rivermont approximately four months ago and our experience has been very good. The positive aspects: the apartments are large, the housekeeping staff are nice and very helpful, there is a home health care agency on-site (which we utilize), the restaurant offers a regular menu with an additional two specials at lunch and dinner, all meals and housekeeping are included in monthly rent and the grounds and gardens are beautiful. I know my mom would like to get out independent from family picking her up and taking her places, there is limited transportation to stores and/or outings (I am sure part of this is due to COVID). One of the most important aspects of the elderly is safety. Residents check-in and out and leave only through the front door. In instances where I had concerns about my mother, the staff has been more than willing to go and check on her, etc.

Based on my research It was our best option for the cost. I would recommend them to others. The room size and layout of the community are good. I like it a lot it is a good set up. The food is adequate. They have some outdoor space for the residents. Communication has been good.

The location was a big factor for us. It is a smaller community, we really like that the staff would be able to have a better relationship with the residents. I like that it is a one-story building. We liked the staff we met and their approach to senior living.

Could not be more pleased with the care my mom is getting at Harbor Chase. She transferred from another facility and had no problem settling in. The staff is very warm, attentive, friendly and caring. At this crazy time of restrictions and anxiety for all, Harbor Chase has gone a step above keeping family informed and the residents busy. THANKS HARBOR CHASE!

Not that I really mind this - we are all in for the sake of our loved one, but the ill coordination of the multiple changes in medications may drive me nuts and nickle and dime us to death. Only knowledge of the staff's genuine care for the health of our loved one makes it tolerable.

Legend has been awesome with a difficult adjustment. The leadership staff as well as the caregivers have been supportive and have offered assistance above & beyond what we pay for. Care staff members are well trained and truly caring. New staff has been consistently added as occupancy increases. Legend recently won an award as a great place to work—turnover is very low. In addition, there are great amenities here & the activities are good as well.

Before entering Lionwood our mother was depressed, lonely, and unhappy about everything. We never imagined the change in her would be so positive and so dramatic. Almost any time the family goes to the Lionwood Facebook page, there is Mom participating in some activity or another. Lionwood feels happy and alive any time we have been there, and our mom seems to be thriving in its environment. We could not be happier!

I can't say enough about this senior living facility nor it's management especially [name removed]. My father had been "exiting" in a senior living apartment community. Once he moved to Willow Bend be began living again. He was social, his personality returned and his entire demeanor changed. Everyone made him feel welcome and at home! The staff is incredible. Anything we needed or asked for they provided. Don't judge a book by it's cover! It's not all shiny and new but it's clean, one story and well taken care of. I highly recommend you take a look at this assisted living facility!!

The staff and property/ facility is fine for my Mom and that is all you can say! My mother loves the place and staff and residents. I wanted the best and she has the best!

This is my very first experience in an Independent Living facility and I am so happy that I chose Park West! I love the friendly atmosphere, the staff, my apartment and all in all it has been a wonderful 8 months for me. Due to the death of my husband at first it was difficult for me to be too involved in the activities going on but in the last few months I have been picking out the things I am interested in and making quite a few new friends. I am so elated that the choice I made has been just the right one for me!!!

Just moved my 93 year old aunt into The Bluffs at The Renaissance. The orientation staff works hard to make family and resident feel comfortable and cared for. Facility is safe and efficient. Have eaten several times in the dining area and the food is delicious with a variety of foods. Have previously visited other facilities and when I walked into The Renaissance, I felt very comfortable and my aunt mentioned how polite staff has been. The property is maintained very well and the interior is always clean. The Renaissance is doing ALF the right way!

My Mom and Dad both lived there. They really liked the food and activities offered. The nursing staff were on their game, organized, friendly and kept us informed. We appreciate all they did for the both of them and us!!!

The staff at The Windsor is wonderful: friendly, competent, and responsive. My husband was a short-time resident but had a satisfying experience and was well cared for.

I regularly attend the lunch and learn seminars. The speakers are always imminently qualified in their subject and the lunch provided is always top quality! I would not hesitate to recommend this assisted living facility to anyone who needs it.

I'm very pleased with the professional manor of the staff at Windsor, [Name removed] is wonderful to work with and was able to quickly answer all of my questions regarding my Mom's move to Windsor. [Name removed] tour and explanation of daily activities and polices was very easy to understand and well thought out. I'm looking forward to working with the staff on my Mom's transition and very happy that Windsor is the right place for her.

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Mother. The person who gave me the tour was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. However, I don’t like this facility because it is on the larger side. I know they are not eyes on hands-on as much as I would like. There are hallways that the staff can’t see and if my mom fell, no one would notice unless someone was to walk by. Even though this facility was not for her, I would recommend them to other families.

The Linden is just what I was looking for, for my Mom and Dad. It is in a nice part of town and easy to get to from where I live. We tried to move both of them into a studio apartment but it was just too small so we ended up putting them in a one bedroom. My Dad loves it, he loves meeting and talking to new people. Mom has alzheimers and sundowners syndrome, so she is having a hard time. Everyday is a new day for her and she doesn't understand why she can't go home. The nurses have handled her very carefully. We may end up having to put her in the Memory Care. When my parents were at home they weren't eating or taking their medication as they were suppose to. Now that they are in The Linden, my Dad has put on weight and Mom is even eating a little better. They are given the medication everyday at the same time and are checked on twice a day to make sure they are alright. I am very thankful for a place like The Linden. Thanks for listening.

My mom was at Legend for almost 3 years and it truly become her "home". The staff was very responsive to her needs at all times and helped her live her final years there in a fun environment. Even though she did not participate in many of the social activities there, I always saw them going on when I visited. The fact that it is a "smaller" community made it very personable and we left behind many good friends. I would highly recommend Legend to anyone considering an Assisted Living Facility.

I enjoyed my tour here at this community. It was nice and clean. The staff answered all of my questions. It just wasn't the right fit for my mom and I had to go with one that was closer to me.
