Koelsch Senior Communities

My brother claims that he doesn't like it there however from everything I've heard he seems to have settled in nicely and is doing very well. He has been going out with friends for meals or local events. He has taken his roommate under his wing in regards to taking him down to mealtime and activities just looking out for him. He has made such a good impression on the staff they all know him by name now. He does not like the food its boring not seasoned at all. We are certainly impressed by the community and the staff and the level of care they provide.

This community is not opened as of yet. After they open and get established we may move my mother to this location since it appears to be very similar to where she is now, however, this location is much closer to the family than where she is. We should have a better idea once they get up and running and start accepting residents as to how they will perform then make a decision.

Mom seems to be doing alright being here. She is starting to interact and socialize with the other residents that are living here. The community is brand new so everything is very nice extremely clean. The staff is very good helpful and friendly. Considering that they are still new there are not a lot of residents there yet so the activities are limited the hope is once they start getting more residents than the activities will increase. Mom hasn't complained about the food so it must be good.

Very shortly will I be moving my husband to this location.At first, when I toured it I didn't-think that I would be able to afford such a lovely place but in speaking with the contact person here she has worked the price as to where I can afford it and not sacrificing the level of care my husband will need. They are very kind and they are respectful of not only their residents but their families feelings. They have 3 nurses to shift that are trained in dementia patients so they can provide the right kind of care. The halls are monitored so that if an emergency happens the staff will know. There are bell cords in all the rooms. But best of all I can sign my husband out so we can go out to eat or take him to our home for a few hours.

The staff where lovely to me when I had taken a tour of this place for possible future living arrangements. They did a great job with the presentation and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. The property was clean and had a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents. Overall it was a great experience it was just not the right fit for me in the end decision.

This community was nice we saw nothing wrong with it. I don't think it would have met our mothers care level needs. It appeared to trend more towards independent living than assisted living. The type of person my mom is she needs to have medication handed to her and to be told to go to the dining area more than just a reminder. The staff was helpful and seemed to be involved with the residents.

This community was very lovely very bright and nicely decorated. The staff seemed to be nice and very helpful and informed about the community. The price was a little out of our budget but they had made a follow-up phone call with me and was willing to negotiate the price but by that time I had already settled on another community.

The was all nice and I would keep them in mind if anything changes. I was just feeling the Memory Area was more confined and away from everyone. Some of the residents were just sitting around and I didn't see much involvement or activities. The person I toured with was knowledgeable and nice.

My loved one was recently in this community for a short respite stay and I have no complaints of how things went for her. The staff where always so helpful and I was comfortable with the care they had provided to her. She had no complaints about the meals and enjoyed participating in some of the activities from time to time. Overall we where very happy with her stay and thought they did everything they had promised us.

My mom is struggling with being here she feels that she would be better at home taking care of herself and my dad. My feeling is they are both in the perfect place they are getting what they need. Dad has taken a fall and is in the hospital but what is good is that where this property is located it is only a few blocks from the hospital so I don't have to worry about mom driving a distance. When dad was there he was enjoying the food and gaining weight back. The staff is good here but I was extremely upset that when my dad fell and it was quite obvious my mother was shaken up that someone didn't offer to arrange transportation to the hospital they let her drive herself.

I am doing great in Madison House and I love it here.

Cascade Inn was very nice but just too large for my mom. Even though it is a single story building the layout was too spread out. However, the inside appeared clean and nicely decorated. It was very bright and upbeat feel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did have a meal here and the food was very good. In comparison to pricing, they were falling within the same range as to other places we had toured.

From what I understood it was a very nice community and in general the experience went good. There were a little frustrating moments with the care that was needed and some meal delivery. The staff were aware of our family's wants and needs and did a good job.

Everything is working in the right direction for my mother since her move to this community. We are pleased with all they have done for us. She seems to be doing well, and I'am satisfied with her move to this community overall.

My mom is doing as well as can be expected due to her illness. She has settled in and is as comfortable as she can get. The care she is receiving from the staff is amazing she is being well taken care of I have no worries about that. She seems to like the food. The staff is amazing and there is a good line of communication between both myself and the staff. They keep the community very clean and the rooms seem to be very clean. I feel extremely lucky that I found such a good place to have the mom in.

The staff care for my mom pretty well. They are keeping her active and hydrated. This is a new community so it is very nice. They do still seem to be working out some of the kinks with communication between staff members. The activities person is very upbeat and knows everyone by name. Her room is nice and it shares a bathroom with the neighbor. They have doctors that come in and there are seven residents for each caregiver.

It was horrible, you could smell pee. It was strong. They are suppose to take care of the people who may not remember to use the restroom. My dad said no way when he smelled the community. Other than that, the presentation and knowledge of the facility from the staff was good. The smell just gave us a bad experience.

We had a good tour and my dad liked this community. It was very nice and beautiful. However they could not accommodate my parents in one room because my mom needed memory care.

From what I saw they community did fine for the short time he stated there. They gave him good care from what I saw. They did best they could for him.

From what I know my loved one is doing well with her move to this community. It is a nice community, and we are pleased with her move here. It is a nice facility for her, and her needs. We know she is safe, and in receiving good care. They staff is very good, and taking good care of her. Everything is working out well.
