The reason we chose Canterbury Inn, Longview WA because the facility had a clean smell and very well kept. The staff is very skilled and even though my father is not happy he is getting the right care and support. We do recommend Canterbury

The food at Cascade Inn seems to be really good. They were willing to work with him and bring him food into his room for the first couple of weeks while he gets acclimated. Any time I have noticed anything they have responded very well and have gone out of their way to help and accommodate very well. We've been very pleased. Dad is happy.

Canyon Creek has done a wonderful job caring for my mother. They have provided loving care that included nursing care that was greatly needed and not provided in Mom's previous care facility. They have brought skills and techniques into their care that have truly improved Mom's quality of life. In so doing they have also improved the quality of life for myself and Mom's immediate family. Thank you Canyon Creek!

From the first day everyone was very helpful and kind .By the third day, as I visited my wife, most of the staff knew who I was and called me by name. No matter where I was, as a visitor, they woud ask if I needed help or did I need anything. The food service is excellent. I have lunch or dinner with my wife everyday. The staff works "for the good of the patient".

We're very pleased with Canterbury Gardens! Just about every person who works here is outstanding! Gretchen in particular is wonderful. They're all very caring and helpful, and are always happy to help with any request you might have.

The first impression we both had upon meeting the staff was very welcoming, respectful and friendly. They also demonstrated a genuine and personalized care for the residents of the community. Quite frankly The Hampton at Salmon Creek is an excellent facility for memory care. I would highly recommend that those seeking care for their loved one to include this facility in your search. Whatever the level of care required, the staff is very capable, efficient, knowledgeable, caring and consistent. They seem to know the correct response in any situation with which they are presented. I feel as if I can leave my loved one there and have peace of mind......They take care of every aspect. Plus they are incredibly flexible in terms of length of time needed

We transferred my step Mom from WA to Sterling Commons to be closer to her family. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional and have been wonderful.

Value was equal to or better to what I saw at other places. For the price, it was the best deal. I like everything about this place. It's very nice, it's friendly, the food is terrific. They're about to remodel, so it will be even nicer. My father likes it. He's doing really well. He likes that it's close to me and his other daughters. It is nicer than the facility where he was living before.

My mother has severe dementia and often times refers to me as her "best friend", rather than her daughter. The staff is loving and supportive both to myself and my mother, and rejoices with me along each step of this journey. The facility is beautiful, and my mother is always clean and well attended to. There are many activities on different levels for the residents and a lot of individual care and attention. This is the 3rd facility my mother has been in as her dementia has progressed and I looked carefully at all possible options with each move. This journey has been difficult and the staff and management at Canyon Creek has been professional and worked with me. I feel blessed to have mom living at Canyon Creek.

Arbor Hills Community is a wonderful place for your loved one. It is new (construction completed in May of 2013), beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean, but most of all the care given to our dad is wonderful. The staff is thoughtful, kind, gracious, friendly and protective of all the residents as if they were their own family members.

For the most part the FT nursing staff & caregivers did a wonderful job. And were very kind to my sweet father. I would recommend to others & regardless of where your loved one is, families should be present!

Deer Ridge Memory care is very expensive considering the actual care involved. What it is is an apartment with meals and very little nursing care. So although the staff are friendly and kind I wouldn't call them thorough. My husband is a 6'5" man. His meals at Deer Ridge are the exact same as meals given to women who are 5 feet tall and frail. He is slowly losing weight there. But we do like the staff. The facility is clean and new.

This facility has been satisfactory for us. My mom is still there and well taken care of. We used them for both my mom and dad. As memory care facilities go, I think they are probably one of the better ones in the Colorado Springs area. We really have no complaints. The staff is friendly, they retain their staff which in my mind said a lot , they call us when accidents happen which isn't often, they are polite respectful, and courteous to us as well as their residents. We can walk in there almost anytime. They know us by name, facility is clean and my mom is well cared for. It has a very small footprint, which is really nice for us and the residence. The staff knows everybody. We are grateful that we found them and have no intention of moving my mother.

Staff is very friendly and good with the residents. Very caring. I know its hard for them to be in 20 places at once but they do their best. I am pleased with the care my husband receives.

The Park is a lovely, clean place. Their food is mostly good. It's not as good as they make it out to be, with their "chef connection," but it's decent. My dad was only there a short time- just a few months, so I can't really say a lot. He passed within 1 month of officially moving in, (he wanted to make sure his house was PERFECT before leaving it!) and 5 months since he signed a lease agreement. He met some nice residents. It is on the more expensive side, (he paid roughly $5200.00 monthly) but my dad wanted a ground floor apartment so we were willing to pay a bit more. There is also a one time charge community fee of [removed dollar amount], which I thought was relatively steep, but as I understand from my sister who is dealing with her in-laws in the Bay Area, it wasn't. (It's much more expensive there, especially since both are still living.)The employees at The Park are very kind and respectful, with varying degrees of ability, as one would expect. They do a monthly celebration and bring in family members, but it can be expensive. For example, they do family brunches where the residents can purchase individual tickets at a high cost, IMO. And what was served at the brunch was meh. . The Park is well decorated, and very inviting. The rooms are spacious, and there is some variety in apartments.

4.5. What we like the most about the community is that the residents and staff are all very welcoming. There are lots of different activities to and groups to join if you choose to. Meals and food choices are always good.

I have been very pleased with The Gardens. Overall, it's been great.

I think there short handed more often then not and I get that . But I think they need to express that to us. The staff on the floor is really good and friendly and they do interact with the people there pretty well. I can always tell when there short staffed because my mom looks disheveled more often then she has ever before.

I don't know how much this helps but my score on the administration was affected by the fact that they've had a lot of turn over and have been making changes which are hard for the elderly. The jury is still out on whether the changes are good or bad in the long run. I'm hesitant to comment about much more because we have had problems due to my mother's mental state, nothing to do with the facility. I feel like overall the facility is very good.
