Preparation of food is terrible except for breakfast. It is way too expensive especially for those who do not need any type of care like in assisted living - just need a safe place to live. The staff are all kind and caring, There is way too much staff turnover.

Overall we were happy with the care of my father at Willows Landing. In the beginning of his stay they were without a RN onsite during normal business hours and worked with an LPN only. This was not as we had been told. The unit had 2 staff initially that my dad complained about on several occasions for how residents were treated, don't know what happened but they weren't around shortly after concerns were expressed. My dad had several falls that were significant in nature and I asked them if they reported such falls as I believe if injuries occur this must be done. He broke his ribs on one fall and his hip on another. He never recovered from the broken hip and ended up doing hospice at Willows Landing. Family stayed with him daily during hospice. Overall I believe that the staff cared for my dad. Dad enjoyed the food for the most part and participated in activities on the unit. The LPN on site is very knowledgeable. Maintenance guy is super nice and helpful. Front entrance staff is friendly and helpful.

It seems like a good community for assisted living but I don't know about memory care. It's easier for a resident to isolate themselves in memory care because they have a full apartment of their own.

1. We were told that the staff would give him reminders to take his medicine. They did that for the first 3 months, and then all of a sudden, his med box was full all the time. I was told he had to be on med management to make sure he takes his meds, and that was an additional $[removed]/month. 2. The rent was raised significantly. 3. I was told he would have weekly cleaning, but his apartment was never dusted, there was mold around the feet of his shower chair, and his apartment always smelled awful. 4. The manager is rarely there when we go visit. It could be a coincidence, but I've gone at various times of the afternoon. 5. They took the little cans of pop out of the bistro area.

Short version, my mother was 97 years old. She died 2 months after entering the facility. Staff seemed to have a turnover. Care was so-so. We paid a full months fee and my mom passed 7 days after that. We requested a refund for the days not occupied. Our contacts in the facility said another elderly person moved into the room 3 days after we moved out. It was okay for experience. Pleasant people, but definitely under staffed. It is what it is.

Friendly and home like atmosphere, staff were welcoming. I would recommend to other.

Good experience overall. Hospice was excellent, and staff always kept me up to date on any changes. Always felt my loved one was safe there. All staff stayed positive and welcoming while dealing with very difficult conditions.

We are always humbled by how hard the staff works. We are learning how difficult their job is. "Just in time" care is important , but so is quality of life. Food provides calories, but also social engagement and something to look forward to. It would help to increase variety and presentation. I very much enjoy the residents at Milestone.

Much like any facility at this point there are staffing issues. Mom moved in [dates removed] the director/manager was gone and has never been replaced. They hired an activity coordinator she is gone, hired another not much better. Food is improving. If Mom presses her call button someone comes running. That gives me a ton of piece of mind. The head nurse [name removed] is a rock star. The help with showering is very good.

This is a nice, secluded place. They have comfortable rooms for the residents. The staff are friendly. The community is close to family to be able to see our loved one easier. The doorbell response time from the staff could be improved, as it does take a while for them to respond. The room has nice windows and private bathroom for my loved one. The community is able to provide medication management, bathing, and dressing assistance, and the community works well with hospice.

The general staff would be a four out of five, but as far as the upper management goes, that would be a one out of five. The rooms at this community are about a four out of five, and the food would be a three out of five.

Nice facility. However, too expensive for our mother to live in and geared more toward assisted living rather than independent. We have other options to look at.

I toured this community when looking for a place for my parents. Out of all of the places I’ve toured, this one had the best food. It’s a smaller establishment and they had local chefs that prepared the meals onsite. I don’t think the building was very well kept up with, though. Some of the furnishings were a bit older and the building, overall, was a little outdated. The dining area was nice, though, and the food was good. There wasn’t a lot of room to walk around because the grounds were sandwiched between 2 parking lots. They also didn’t have a lot of greenery or nice views, so I was a little disappointed in that regard.

While touring this facility for my Mother, I immediately noticed that the residents seemed to be farther along with Alzheimer’s than my mom. This community feels like a nursing home and when I walked in, there was even a resident asleep at one of the tables. The marketing director who gave me the tour was very helpful and seemed nice. I would recommend this facility to families who need more care with their loved one.

My mother has recently made the move into this community and it has been a little bit of a difficult adjustment for her. Although the staff are very kind and have been attentive to her needs she is having trouble making this place home. She has not been that impressed with the meals so I am thinking we are going to start making them for her. Overall the care is fine at this place and we are making the best out of our situation.

This is a beautiful community and even though my father was only there for 2 weeks during that time some of the nursing staff were so very kind and caring with my dad. Dad loved to dance so they would dance with him all around his room and it made him feel so good. Unfortunately I also had a very bad experience with a few of the staff there. I was told that I was calling too often and that they had everything under control with my dad's care and his meds when I would ask about him. I was also turned away when I brought my children to see their grandfather and told that they upset him and it was hard to calm him down after one of their visits. Sometimes when I came to visit (by myself) I found that his daily care needs had not been addressed he was wearing soiled clothing and I cleaned him up and changed his clothes for him. My dad did have a fall and was taken to the hospital for observation and when we called the community about it there was no record/report on file yet he had been transported by the paramedics because of the fall. My father did not go back to the community as we brought him home under the supervision of hospice until he passed.

Food quality poor and some recent staffing issues.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Location and services provided matched what we were looking for.

My experience with this community has been a pretty good one. My mother isn't the easiest person to get along with, but they are trying their best to care for her. The staff have been very patient and understanding. They have had a big turn over in some of the key areas in the community. It is a nice and clean community. They have nice outings outside the community and she enjoys them. Overall, I know she is safe and being cared for there. I would recommend this community.
