The food was not good at all, my loved one would rather go to bed hungry than eat. The cleanliness was not very good and they did not keep up the rooms. The community does feel honey or inviting. I would not recommend this community to others.

The food was terrible and it was hard to get someone to come help our loved one if he needed it. It was just not a good experience at all and the cleanliness of the community was our biggest problem.

The housekeeper was great who was on my floor.. The administration wasn't great or the rest of the staff. I moved in and quickly moved out. The food was horrible, as well as the air conditioning.

Do not keep residents informed. No way of fully communicating. Unstable management. Food is terrible. Portions are small and some things are uneatable. [Name removed] is a joke. Been here going on 3 years, seen her one time.

Manager and assistant manager don't keep their word and don't get out of their offices. Food is terrible. A significant decline in food service since Covid. Building seems to stay in despair. Takes way too long to get things fixed on parents. Rent is way too high for what little you get. Will move as soon as possible!

Lacks communication skills. Just about the money.

The food here is ready for the slop bucket - we pay a dear price and we get so little. Most of my neighbors feel the same way. We have a new general manager and I think she will do a good job. We will have to stay here until things open up again- then maybe more of us can get out and look for a better place to call home. Just pray for us.

I’m not happy. My mother was without air conditioning for 2 weeks. It was in the high 80’s the whole time. Her equipment is old and needs to be replaced. And her room has been cleaned 2 times in 3 1/2 months . Despicable!!!!

I understand that your manager just quit. I also understand that [name removed] who ran the front desk for years has just retired due to unreasonable circumstances. Montara Meadows is a mess and ran accordingly. You need to get someone in there that knows what they’re doing!!!! Stop hiring bus drivers and making the managers. Stop being so cheap!

It sucks! When she moved in there were older aged staff and they cared about the residents, and now they have young staff who don't give a damn. I can't believe the changes in the care level of the staff I think they promise all of this stuff that don't deliver. As soon at COVID hit, everything changed including the food quality, the care, the cleaning, and maintenance requests.

I’ve advocated diligently to get my parents carpet cleaned for weeks to no available. At over $5500 per month rent, they are living with soiled dingy carpets that have only been cleaned once in 5 years....at my insistence. Now it’s time again. Where are the monthly and yearly cleanliness check lists? Why am I the only one monitoring this?

Be wary of the Mulberry Estates in Moose Jaw. At the beginning of our stay, the staff was very pleasant, and ensured that all will be looked after… but, I would hate to have anyone go through the turmoil that we did. Be careful! Don’t be fooled by the superficial pleasant atmosphere and the grand dining area. Look in the corners and see the dust bunnies and grime. If you observe closely, you’ll see the staff is toxic, and believe me, you most definitely are not getting what you pay for. Here is my story: The Mulberry informed us that my husband had been taken by ambulance 2 days after the fact and stated it had to do with back pain at dinner time. Upon getting the hospital file, it was discovered that the incident was due to a significant fall within the suite during the evening hours. When questioned about why weren’t we notified sooner, a member of the staff was obnoxious and used the excuse that they are an independent retirement facility and cannot phone the minute something happens. What if he would have had a fatal heart attack? The Mulberry in Moose Jaw has lost our trust with being untruthful, belligerent, and deceitful. Various statements provided by the Mulberry staff were false such as availability to the internet (but not in your suite), chef meals promised even though a chef position wasn’t filled so it made for a lot of hit and miss meals, accommodation of all food sensitivities (I had to eat meal replacement bars on quite a few occasions for the evening meal), providing light housekeeping weekly (mold was growing in the mugs/glasses in the kitchen sink, dirty bathroom, unpleasant smell throughout), and having a mental capacity deficient person sign his own lease which was in complete contravention to provided medial and legal documentation. Our family was most offended and upset with 3 Mulberry staff routinely intervening themselves into personal family matters that were beyond their expertise, scope of practice, and job description. The same Mulberry staff orchestrated a legal guardian freezing our bank accounts when we had an optimal Power of Attorney already in place doing above and beyond what her duties are. Needless to say, my husband was removed and placed in a different health retirement home. Once again, don’t be fooled by the false promises of the “chef meals”, 24/7 buffet (that has no food!), pastries and home good baked “daily”, globally available wireless internet (except for in your own suite!), and routine impeccable (read as non-existent!) housekeeping. Unless you’d welcome drama, cattiness, misplaced judgement, exuberant stress, lies, deceit, manipulation, and most importantly, poor care for your loved one, look elsewhere! If you choose to stay at the Mulberry get very used to staff using the line “We’re an independent living facility” when it suits them. Get used to staff delegating their job requirements and responsibilities on to you, all the while judging and demeaning you for not doing their job good enough. Some Items that needed attention on first day, still pending. Thermostat hanging off wall bt wires feor last three months. Gutters never cleaned. Water damage to bedroom ceiling has not been repaired. I awoke one morning soaking wet during heavy rainstorm. Temporary repair made.

The first thing I noticed while I was waiting for my tour guide was an altercation between an elderly resident and a staff member. I don't think staff should ever argue with residents, and I wonder if they are getting proper training in dealing with the elderly. My guide spent more time running around than guiding me, and I was left alone for most of the time. Didn't seem to be particularly welcoming.

The staff were not very sympathetic or helpful when my Mom was not feeling well due to others in the facility being sick. She then spent most of the 21 days she paid for in the hospital. They were not willing to bring her meals to her room & when she used the help button she was told it was only for extreme emergencies. This place felt like a money grab as they never followed up on her stay or her health.

I found this place for my 86 yr. old father. I was told he was getting a one bedroom apartment. It turns out they moved him into a studio for $1990 per month -3 month lease. While he was there one of the employees entered his room and stole $800 cash that he had just counted earlier in the day. He was sleeping and found a cup of coffee and a meal that was brought to him. One of those people stole his cash. The police were called but the money was never recovered. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. They are taking advantage of the elderly.

This place is Shady! For one, The admissions advisor ([name removed]) is running a private agency for seniors. He tried to swindle me and my parents to join his agency so that he could have us pay privately! All of the aides are UNCERTIFIED, NO BACKGROUND CHECKS!, NOT HHAs OR PCAs and THEYRE ALL UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS! Health department better get in this place!

We were told that the the resident would receive good care. All of the needs of the resident were thoroughly discussed prior to moving in. As it turned out one of the care givers was very good but the rest were mediocre at best. Someone was to check on the resident every few hours. One night no one came to check. The thermostat was turned down very low and the resident could not access it. By the time someone came in the next morning the resident had come very close to dying. Our concerns were discussed on several occasions but they seemed to fall on deaf ears. Many of the caregivers spoke very poor English and it was difficult to communicate and get the care givers to understand what was being asked of them. The resident finally moved out due to fear for his safety and Greenwood Terrace refused to give any type of refund. Greenwood Terrace blamed everything on the caregiver company but seemed to have no influence on them and was unable to correct the deficiencies. The resident moved to another facility where the care was sooo much better.

Awful management & can't reach corporate offices. Constant busy signal. My sister lives nearby & is washing towels & changing my mom's bed. 2 separate times 2 different groups of 5 women who made up the housekeeping staff have all quit. Thank goodness my sister lives near her. We are shopping for a better place for my mom.

Very run down, going up the drive way looks pretty rough and the landscaping? Well not much. Inside there is a musty smell, out of date furniture. Looking at more updated facilities.
