I've been well pleased with every one here including the staff, food, and activities!!! It's been a great place for me, since I lost my husband last year in April. As a new widow, I felt secure and safe, food with friends there meant so much to me, it will be one year in [date removed]! I made a good choice and happy I did!!

Our first contact was with [Name Removed] who gave us a wonderful tour of the complex and gave [Name removed], my wife, and me the basics of what life at 'The Pines" would be. We met the GM, the resident program director, and were served a delicious meal with residents at lunch. A 2BR/2BA unit meets our needs, so we signed up for a second story residence and put our name in the hat for a first story unit to make walking our dog easier. Our daughter is a permanent resident in Columbia, and a principal reason for relocating here from Virginia. [Name removed] and I are excited about making new friends in a new community and enjoying retirement with fewer responsibilities and much less stress.

We are really happy with Hartland Hills. That are very nice and always let us know if something comes up. [name removed] seems very happy over there. I hope it stays that way. My brother really likes it over there. I hope he continues to.

It was great experience touring this facility. [Name Removed] and the staff answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable about the amenities in place and what was able to be added.

The General Manager was so friendly and welcoming. We felt at home from our first conversation. She shared her knowledge of the facility and all of the amenities. After a delicious lunch a group of residents introduced themselves and shared their experience and appreciation for the place. We look forward to getting my mother settled in.

Apartments instead of just rooms; meals provided, nice common spaces, and housekeeping services. There is an independent company that provides personal care, and there are enough clients in the building that there is always someone from the company there during the day. So mom is checked on regularly.

Transportation is only from 9-2 and drop off times dependent on others needing rides so it's possible for people to have to sit for hours surrounding their appt time and if appt is at 12 or 1 they might not have transport available back. Food is reported to be too salty- not prepared fresh on site Fair amount of activities Walking past laundry areas garbage seems to be overflowing often Pro/ onsite option for home care-additional assistance Building is otherwise clean and well kept

I was very impressed overall with the facility. The dining area is lovely, and there are many lifestyle opportunities. We were less impressed with the apartments, having toured another place that had a large apartment with full kitchen and it's own laundry. I spoke to several residents who all said they are very happy there.

Never had a problem that wasn't quickly addressed. BUT there should be a second elevator. When it had to be serviced it caused problems for both the residents and staff.

I enjoyed the tour because it was a simple overview. At this time I am touring several facilities. Right now, just research. I am 80, so I am planning ahead

We had a great tour with [name removed] . We also had lunch with a resident ambassador. It seems like a great facility and a great price [name removed] from a place for Mom has been checking in about progress with finding a place for my dad. We are very happy. We ended up signing a lease with Holiday Rock Creek.

I had a great experience visiting the Lodge on [date removed]. This is at the very top of the list of places that I have seen for my Aunt and Uncle who are moving from New Hampshire to CT to be closer to family. The General Manager, [name removed] was kind and informative and introduced me to residents who were friendly and seemed happy. The setting and services are a good fit for my relatives and it is a special bonus that there are many veteran residents as my Uncle, is a retired officer in the Navy. It is equally important that the VA is nearby. And I know if my Aunt and Uncle move to the Lodge, they will make good use of the services provided by Caring by [name removed] which is on the premises. The follow up from [name removed] staff after my visit was also appreciated!

They were helpful, responsive and willing to work with us on pricing. We worked with Jackie and she was caring to our situation. My in-laws have been in their apartment since Feb 1, and they are very pleased with the staff, food and have made friends with other residents. They like the apartment and feel at home there.

My wife and I toured Montara Meadows along with other similar Independent Living - All Inclusive communities for my elderly Uncle. We selected Montara Meadows. My uncle has been a resident for 6 weeks now and the place is wonderful! [Names Removed] and the staff have treated my uncle with loving open arms. It’s been a huge transition for him but they have been exceptional in welcoming him and making this his home!! I highly recommend Montara Meadows!

The people here both employees and residents really try hard to do a good job in making a new comer feel welcome. The 1 bedroom apartment is ample in size so comfortable and I have double window in bedroom and a single in Living Room so will be nice for ventilation when we get fully into spring weather. Laundry machines are very good sized so work well. I like the life in my apt very nicely. I get plenty of steps and I climb 3 flights of stairs very much to get near my apt. ok for exercise

The apartment is nearly as large as the apartment she moved from. It has numerous closets which meant she could maintain her treasured keepsakes. Pets are welcome which was essential for my Mom who has an emotional support cat. There are a wide variety of activities on a daily basis as well as "field trips" to restaurants and shopping. Everything is very clean without any I wanted odors. They have a suggestion box for residents. She has suggested weekly church services on site. Currently, they only have Bible study. It would be beneficial for staff to give new residents a "refresher " tour as to where everything is. After looking at several sites, she was confused as to where to sign up for activities, etc..

The staff at Hartland Hills are very friendly, warm and welcoming. Many seem to be strongly Christian and offer prayer for and with residents. Areas of the facility (hallway paint & carpeting, doors) are dated and a bit dreary and could use a refresh to make it feel as warm and welcoming as the staff. It's a fairy quiet place. Residents seemed quiet toward visitors and we didn't see a lot of interaction between them outside of mealtimes. Food doesn't look very appealing compared to other places we visited, with a lot of fried foods and not a lot of fresh or varied offerings. But the kitchen and dining staff are lovely and make up for it. A private dining room allows family and friends to bring in outside food. Overall there is a warm and pleasant feel here. Its location, while backing to a busy road on one side, is tucked just inside a neighborhood, making the grounds and overall feel here one of homey and welcoming.

The experience is totally awesome. The food is amazing, they really good the extra mile! I have a 1 bedroom/bath, lots of space & a great patio. Pet friendly, so no issues with my Service Dog. The staff are friendly & most important caring. They activities, exercise classes & a on site PT/OT/Speech. Beautiful grounds to sit out or walk! I feel blessed to have found Holiday!

The staff is cordial and the food is good. The apartment is cozy and clean. I would recommend this community to others who searching for one.

I’m proud to say this is my home. I love the people here staff especially the staff. [name removed] is such a caring person who is just Amazing, [name removed] is Amazing to she keeps us busy and cares so much at every detail. [name removed] and [name removed] keeps us very well fed. Kitchen staff keeps things clean and fridge stocked with goodys and coffee is the Best. Housekeeping keeps everything clean and services us very well. Missing. Theirs so many wonderful people here and i’m ever so grateful for each of them. [name removed] in the office is always willing to help us if needed and [name removed] our maintenance man is doing a Wonderful job and so very nice to us. We are glad he’s here. if you want to be active make great friends eat great food and love getting involved come join us you will love it too.
