I’ve really enjoyed living at Hidden Lakes. There are activities seven days a week, with different things offered periodically throughout the day, so there’s something to appeal to almost everyone. The staff is friendly, helpful, and responsive. Hidden Lakes is an older building, but it is well cared for, and maintenance issues are addressed promptly. Housekeeping is provided once a week and includes cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping. The community is also pet friendly, which is a big plus. Every apartment has a balcony or patio, providing a nice private outdoor space. There is also a beautiful lake with a walking path all the way around it. As someone who uses a motorized wheelchair, I appreciate that I’m able to enjoy the path as well. One important thing to know is that Hidden Lakes is an independent living facility, not an assisted living facility. Residents need to be able to take care of themselves, and management is very clear about that. For people with mobility limitations, there are a few things to keep in mind. For example, the sinks are not designed for wheelchair accessibility, and all of the washing machines are top-loading rather than front-loading. In my case, since I’m unable to stand, I hire someone from the community to help with dishes. Overall, I’ve found Hidden Lakes to be a friendly, well-maintained community with plenty of activities, private outdoor spaces, a great walking path, and helpful staff. It’s a good option for independent seniors who are looking for an active community while still having their own apartment and privacy.

Staff is very friendly & helpful, they've just had a few turnover employees since we've been there. Apartment size is great, very roomy with large bathroom. The balcony is very nice. They have a lot of activities which is nice to get residents out of their rooms and socialize. Facility cleanliness is good, but getting repairs completed takes a while. The food is decent for the most part, but needs improvement. More fresh and healthy food is needed especially for the elderly.

We decided to go with Warburton Place are in the process of securing an apartment for my father.

Love it here. Residents are friendly. Staff are very helpful. Cleanliness is excellent. My studio is small but adequate. They installed a new carpet before I moved in.

My mother in law was living here for about a year. She was treated with respect and friendliness in this bright spacious independent living with incredible hardworking staff that always had a smile! Highly recommended!

We searched several places for my sister who recently became a widow. Blue Water Lodge made her feel safe, comfortable and secure. [name removed] took a real interest in our case. [name removed] makes her feel comfortable during transport. We could not have picked a better place. She loves the food, activities, staff and residents.

Love the facility and benefits offered at the facility. I am not looking for something immediately but would really be pleased to be where community and friends are

The experience has been very positive because of the ease of the process and there have been no surprises along the way. Overall, I would recommend this community to others who are searching for senior living for their loved one.

My mom has been a resident of Forsyth Court for a little over a month now and is very happy. The staff are all very nice and helpful. Mom has a nice apartment which she loves. She has made several friends who she joins for meals and activities.

Everyone was very professional and eager to help. Although I was helping my sister to possibly move in, things just didn’t work out right. But the staff and [name removed] were all very professional and very accommodating. I would absolutely encourage anyone who’s thinking of working with them to do so.

I want to share my positive experience regarding my search for independent senior living and the exceptional care my family received. I initially started my search online. I reached out to A Place for Mom. I was immediately impressed by the prompt, professional, and thoughtful support from [name removed]. [name removed] politely provided useful information, developed a plan tailored to our needs, efficiently arranged facility tours, and handled all of my schedule change requests without issue, which was essential to making this process smooth and comfortable for us. Ultimately, we chose Essex House. [name removed], [name removed], their administrative team, and the entire staff have been excellent. They are consistently engaging, honest, and attentive. They impressed us with several proactive touches, such as personal greetings and placing a welcome sign with handwritten messages from staff on the room door. They have handled all of our adjustments with complete professionalism and grace.

The staff have been helpful and courteous. The facility is clean. The only complaint I would have is they didn't have the ride service for a while. They got someone new to fill in. I would definitely recommend them to others.

The whole existence has been seamless. He moved in OK. Likes his room and enjoys his 3 meals a day. They are helping me get some veteran benefits for my dad and found us a mover who was efficient and professional. So far, so good.

Generally impressed: informative, friendly. Lunch with patrons particularly useful in helping evaluate the facility.

Blue water lodge is a wonderful environment with a friendly and caring staff they offer heathcare through 2 third party companies when your loved ones needs become more would highly recommend for anyone's loved ones

Well my brother hasn't been there since April maybe but the facility was nice he liked the food and the size of his apartment. Always seem to be clean and the staff were very nice and attentive.

The woman that showed us around was excellent, however they are in the middle of renovations so it was difficult to see what the final result will be on the property. The location is not where I want to be in St. Louis., but I think it will be well received when the remodel is finished.

This location offers it all. Three meals a day. Constant check ins and even additional cleaning and laundry services. We are truly grateful for all of the staff and have peace of mind knowing our loved one is taken care of between our family visits. Thank you.

I am someone’s aunt and was trying to help my nephew. Due to some health issues he needed more than living by himself. When I say by himself, he is capable of being by himself but not wanting to be isolated . This was the perfect fit- he is enjoying Cedar Ridge so much being able to interact with other people- loves having a good meal( I also find to be very good)-and someone to help with light house keeping. The staff is wonderful and caring. Special shout out to [names removed] ( making appoint to check on my nephew). You know most people wait until to late to make a change in living- housing and end up in nursing home- make the change gradually like this place and you may be able to extend your independence. Kudos to all!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The layout is perfect. My mother's apartment is absolutely gorgeous. It's it's big and roomy and quiet. The place is immaculately clean The staff here is amazing. The people who run the offices are some of the most friendly people I've met in a long time. The office manager, the manager who runs the place, and the gentleman who shows the apartments and such large beyond friendly beyond nice beyond helpful. Every time they see my mother, they ask me if everything's OK how's it going, etc. I am so glad that A Place For Mom suggested this particular place because my mom and I could never be happier.
