Mum has been there for a number of years and the staff all know her and help watch out for her. I know she is safe and appreciated there.

The staff has done an exceptional job at keeping us safe. The food however has slipped very much. The last "chef" [name removed] was not either hiring competent people or was shooting for a bonus by keeping the food bought the lowest grade. Breakfast under [name removed] was the best meal of the day. Most people have had to supplement food from outside sources and family. For example a chef salad might have lettuce, a few cubes of cheese, a sprinkle of egg. No meat,veggies, roll, dressing. Egg salad sandwich twice a week. I have egg allergies. [names removed] have been exceptionally competent and loving in this stressed time. They are truly treasures and valued employees who are deserving of a bonus.

I enjoy [name removed] friendly happy personality. She is so sweet and caring. Very attentive. Food is predictable. Maybe could change it up a pit.

The pandemic has caused some real changes in day to day living for many people. We spend a lot of time in our apartments and food is delivered. The food has gone down alot; way too many scrambled egg breakfasts which besides being boring are just not appealing. Pasta and rice are the mainstays and I can't eat either. Who ever said that cole slaw was supposed to be spicey??? Acid indigestion is a daily part of life now. Holiday Retirement has done all they can to keep us safe but somethings have gone from bad to horrible.

I think it’s great that there have been no cases of the virus at our facility. They seem to follow cdc guidelines, as far as I am aware of. One complaint - some residents and staff don’t wear masks properly- like below the nose - and they are not corrected. One gentleman often sits in the cafe area, mask always below the nose. What good is that doing?? I wish there were more activities or more encouragement to join in what activities we do have.

They are very cost-effective. There is not a lot of follow-through when you ask for things. The washing machines and laundry room are really bad. The food has really declined in last 8 months, what is on the menu is not what you get and it is often burnt or cold.

The community was pretty good unless you needed to hire their outside aids. We didn't feel the aids were adequately trained. The community was normally pretty clean and would have a cleaning crew come in and clean the residents' rooms and do laundry like bedding and towels and such. The staff is all very friendly and are always there to help if you need it. The food is very ok; they need to set up a system where the dinning room service is quicker. They do allow us to eat from our rooms as well. The community did not have a lift available at the time so my husband who was in a wheelchair could not easily get around. We did think Maple Downs was a good value for the price. The first time I walked in, this is where I knew I wanted to be and I am trying to get back in!

Food has not been acceptable since the quarantine and they are eating in their room. Food was okay prior to the quarantine when they were serving in the dining room. Staff is friendly and helpful. The outdoor space is nice. They have a pretty pond and walking paths. My mom really likes the social aspect of the community. Overall we are happy with Willow Garden.

The in-laws seem to be happy there with a few exceptions. Transportation can be sporadic. They complain sometime about the food but otherwise they are glad they chose Indigo Pines. They love the staff and all the activities.

My mother in law has adjusted well at the Mannor. Loves the food and has gained 5 lbs. since moving in. The staff is very helpful and friendly. She participates in many of the activities . She has made new friends. She feels safe being there. Her only complaint is that the maid shows up too early and she has her morning routine which lasts until 9:00am. Hopefully they can change the time the maid comes.

We find the staff very helpful and friendly!! It is a very community driven home and everyone feels a part of it

Maples Suites is a very pretty place. The staff is very professional and caring. The environment is very bright, clean and cheery. The food is very good and the staff is wonderful. They offer 3 different meals at lunch and at least two at dinner. The menu varies every week. The property is well maintained. The apartments are very clean.

They are quite nice there. The challenge is the constant yearly increase of monthly rent. Average $200. Should have a much more updated place with those increases. The food is nice. The cleaning and serving staff are wonderful. Slow to fix issues in apartments

Since Mom has been living here, her entire outlook has turned around. She is up, out of bed, dressed, hair fixed, makeup on and ready for her day. She circles the monthly activity calendar so she doesn't miss her favorite events. It's her choice to open her apartment to visitors or keep the door closed when she wants her privacy. She's met many people, loves the staff, and the vendors who frequent the residence. When I leave her after a visit or to go on vacation, I know she is safe and cared for. She's happy.

Nice place with nice people. Good value. It has no assisted living, which is not a negative, just the situation. Food is "institutional." It's good, but, just like college dorm food, it's generic cooking for many opinions and tastes! Convenient to Seattle Metro and easy to get to business clusters. Variety of room sizes and are nicely cared for.

Our aunt seems somewhat happy at Ironwood, though is still getting settled into her new lifestyle. Our concerns fall with the complaints about the food. As I understand from executive chef friends, our taste buds change with age and often don't function as they once did. However, with this in mind I would have expected more effort to be placed on resident satisfaction in this area. Residents aren't even sure of the chef/cook's qualifications. Do you have a professional chef on staff with the skills to add flavour to meals, or a short order cook? For the price these seniors are paying, that is a fair question. Otherwise we have been happy with the facility and staff and feel we have made a good decision.

We are very happy with the Victorian. It is just the right amount of care and attention. My dad is quite spry for 80 and does not need any additional help. Everyone is very friendly, the food is great and there are lots of activities if you want to join in.
