My father was at The Cottage several years ago. I was very impressed then with his care and even more so now that my sister, [name removed], is there. She is well taken care of, loves the other residents and all the workers. Her safety and happiness means the world to her family, and we never have to worry about her. I have some experience with other assisted living facilities through my in-laws, and none compare to The Cottage!

My Dad lived independently at Columbia Cottage for 1 1/2 years until he was hospitalized and transferred to a rehab/nursing home facility where he died 6 weeks later. Thanks to the loving care he received from the staff at Columbia Cottage, he enjoyed life to the fullest until going to the hospital. He enjoyed 3 delicious meals daily, went to every church services and devotionals everyday and participated in “in house” activities and “off site” field trips!! Several examples of field trips included actual fishing outings to McFarland Park and train rides, duck feedings and lunch at Spring Park in Tuscumbia. My Dad lived with me for 9 months but I quickly realized that he needed much more socializing and activity than I could provide!! The atmosphere and staff were 100 percent better than I could provide at my home since my husband and I were still working. He even participated in an exercise class which helped him physically and mentally!! I will be grateful to the staff forever!!!!!!!

My mom has been a resident here for a few years now. She entered during a most difficult time period at the beginning of Covid restrictions. The local staff however went above and beyond to take great care of her, and help her with the transition. She receives great care and there are always fun activities available keeping the residents occupied and busy. My mom was so very lonely after we lost my dad, but she has a whole new cottage of great friends who have become like family to her and to us as well. The sweet staff loves and cares for my mom as if she is their very own mother. We are so very blessed to be a part of the Columbia Cottage family!!

My sister moved in last year. I asked her last week how she liked it. Her answer was “I really like it here. The caregivers are so good to me and I’m getting good care.” That was all I needed to hear. Columbia Cottage is clean, the rooms are large and the staff is loving. I’m thankful my sister is there and more importantly happy!”

My mother absolutely enjoyed living at the cottages but it was the staff she loved so much that made the difference and I appreciated so much the love and care they each showed her from the day she arrived until the day she left for her eternal home they were by her side. I will never forget them and will forever be grateful for The Cottages. ??

My Mom has been a resident at the cottage for 3 years and I can't say enough good things about it. It truly is as close to home and family environment you can find. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a assisted living for your loved one.

I give them 5 stars for the care my loved one has and is receiving. If I ever have a concern, they are very attentive and work with us to resolve any issue.

My Mom has resided st Columbia Cottage for several years, and has loved it. She never complains about anything, and frequently brags on the staff. They are so sweet to her, and she feels like she is part of the "family." And they proactively work with me to find solutions whenever necessary to ensure my Mom continues to love residing there. I highly recommend considering Columbia Cottage for your loved one!

How blessed we've been to happen on this quaint, homey care facility.. it draws you in when you first walk in with its comfy and cozy furnishings.. But what makes The Cottages really stand out are the caring Executive staff and support staff that truly love the residents and are always watching out for there wellbeing.. They are professional, responsive and ready to listen to residents and their families. They have truly been a blessing to our loved one and us.

My Aunt [name removed] loved it there. They do all kinds of outings, music, crafts. The employees at Columbia cottage are wonderful people. They take such good care of all their tenants. I have recommended this place to alot of people with older parents. When you are there you are never lonely. They keep the sweet people that are there busy all the time. This is a wonderful place for Mom or Dad.

The staff was so helpful with transitioning my aunt from rehab to her apartment at the cottages. Everyone was kind and attentive. The food was excellent.

Mom has been at CC in Florence for 3 1/2 years and loves being there. I do not worry about her since she has been there. The staff and Care Ladies are caring and considerate of older residents.

Having my mom at Columbia Cottage has been life changing for both of us. I have peace that she is loved and well taken care of. My mom has come out of her shell and made friends. She enjoys the activities that the cottage provides. We love the staff that care for her. I feel very blessed that we found Columbia Cottage.

My mom’s experience at Columbia Cottage has been exceptional for many reasons but the relationships she has made and the copious variety of activities offered are top of the list. The staff is fun and positive and she has made friends she loves dearly. From holiday parties, to exercise, crafts and music, the activities are always a celebration and family is included often. So grateful for Columbia Cottage for not only caring for my mom’s personal needs but her social ones as well.

With both parents just coming out of rehabilitation and one of them needing handicap facilities, Columbia Cottage was the answer to their needs. The genuine love, kindness and compassion from the staff was remarkable! Communication about their needs was always a phone call away. Such a blessing when family can’t always be onsite. Columbia Cottage is an outstanding assisted-living facility. The staff is professional and caring with the residents. I am pleased with the care my mother receives and would highly recommend Columbia Cottage.

My father-in-law moved to the Cottages about a month after his wife of 65 years died. They had moved often so moving was easy for him but he had never moved alone. Everyone, including the other residents gave him the assurance that he would be fine. They encouraged him to attend the scheduled activities and to spend his time in the common areas. He immediately did not feel alone and felt a part of a new kind of family. Cottages continues to make sure that we are adjusting to his new environment as well. The administrators have checked on us and given reports even before and after hours. Whenever we call or visit they take time to answer questions or fill our needs. When we visit all members of the staff call the residents by name and seem very observant of the residents activities. Having the PT & NP visit them in their apartments gives them the privacy they need without leaving their home for appts. It’s been a great experience for all of us.

Helpful, assuring, caring, and responsive are all words I'd use to describe the Cottage staff and management. Thank you all and everyone. Overall a five, maybe a slight improvement could be made in the meals. Thank you again!!!
