We like this community for the good care from caring and friendly staff. The community is clean and maintained. They do have activities for those who want to participate with others. they community is small and she is getting great care. We were impressed with this nice community and highly recommend families to this community for good care and value of a loved one.

My loved one is doing good since the move to Country Cottage. The staff have been very helpful and friendly. The community well maintained and clean throughout. The community offers a variety of activities for the residents to enjoy.

During my tour i got to meet the friendly staff in the community. The tour guide showed me all the activities offered and the beautician on site. The whole community was great. It was very clean and up-kept. The friendliness of everyone was great.

My mother is finally getting adjusted to this community, so far everything is working very well. She is getting up and participating in some of the activities. I know is she is in good hands, the staff is excellent. The food is pretty nice. It is a good looking community, they do a pretty good job with keeping the community nice and clean. She receives good care and I would recommend this community.

My mother in law just moved into The Commons last week and the whole process was very easy and enjoyable. Their prices are much more reasonable than another place she had looked at, and she is able to afford living here without outside support from other family members. We loved the "al a carte" process of being able to choose which services she needed rather than assuming she needed them all and charging for everything. Granted, she has only been there one week, but we saw her there yesterday and she was very happy and getting settled nicely. (Note: her AT&T cell phone does not get very good service there, so she may have to change to another provider, but that is no reflection on The Commons at all).

Everyone has been great with my mother. You can tell they truly care for the people they work with. Couldn't ask for more.

I think they do a great job at Columbia Cottage! It's a nice looking place, and the staff is very friendly and professional. I really appreciate how on top of things they are in regards to communication, they'll let you know as soon as any issues come up. It took a bit for my loved one to get settled in, but she seems to have settled in well!

Burdett at The Blake was very welcoming and gave me a very thorough tour of the facilities. The offer quite a few extras (even to memory care) that surprised me. They had a plan that fit perfect with our needs and we are moving in with very short notice. They are very accommodating. I believe my mother will be at home here at The Blake.

I was really pleased with Country Cottage. My wife fell and broke her hip though and is no longer there. It was not their fault, it was just one of those things that happens. We were quite happy there. I think the staff were really caring and always there.

The personnel and support staff have been very helpful in this new adventure! It is difficult to watch our elders need assistance while wanting to remain as independent as possible. The administrative staff at The Blake have been as much support to my husband and me as much as making the transition for our elders as smooth as possible.

The Columbia Cottage is a nice place for mom. My overall rating of this property is 5 stars. The Columbia Cottage is a nice community. It is very clean. The staff is wonderful. I would recommend this place if you are searching for assisted living.

We are very pleased with the care my dad receives at The Blake at Malbis.

I was very impressed with this facility. The staff is super friendly and very knowlegable. The layout of the facility is thoughtful and its cleanliness is impressive. The ratio of staff to resident was reassuring as well.

The way it was designed is great for someone like my moms age. She would need the security. I feel secure for her to be there, people cant go in without a keycard or a code and that makes it's secure in my book. The residents have a card but the family get a code . Just not anyone can get in, that makes me feel secure. Also why I chose the facility. They keep it exceptionally clean in and outside , very tidy.

AS 2014 SOON ENDS I WANT TO TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO THANK THE BLAKE STAFF FOR THE EXEMPLARY MANNER IN WHICH EACH AND EVERY MEMBER RENDERS ASSISTANCE TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE FACILITY. PATIENCE IS CLEARLY SHOWN BY STAFF MEMBERS WHEN ASSISTANCE IS REQUIRED BY A RESIDENT THAT HAS LIMITED CAPABILITY TO COMPLETE A TASK. ALL MUST BE THANKFUL THAT THE BLAKE STAFF TRANSPORTS RESIDENTS IN A TIMELY MANNER TO KEEP DOCTORS APPOINTMENTS, AS WELL AS TAKING RESIDENTS OUT TO DINE FOR NOON MEALS AT VARIOUS RESTAURANTS DURING EACH MONTH. THERE HAS BEEN A STEADY IMPROVEMENT IN THE QUALITY OF FOOD PROVIDED FOR EACH MEAL 3 TIMES EACH DAY; THE IMPROVEMENT IS PARTICULARLY REALIZED DURING WEEK ENDS. THE ASSISTANCE PROVIDED BY THE PA'S IS OUTSTANDING, THEY SATISFY RAPID RESPONSES WHEN CALLED UPON AND THE SERVICE IS ALWAYS BEYOND REPROACH. WHEN A PERSON OR FAMILY IS IN NEED OF ASSISTANT LIVING THE BLAKE AT MALBIS IS UNQUESTIONABLY THE BEST THAT CAN BE FOUND TO SATISFY THEIR NEEDS.

My siblings and I are grateful for the love and concern that all of the staff have shown our Mom since she moved to the Cottage 6 months ago. This is a smaller facility, so it gives the feeling of a small town community where both staff and residents have the opportunity to get to know and see each other on a daily basis. The staff truly cares about each and every resident, and understands their particular individual needs. The warm decor throughout the building creates an atmosphere of being home and welcoming. The living room with the fireplace and bookshelves is quite homey, and the linens and decorations on the dining room tables every day are just one more special touch to create a home-like setting. Whenever there is a major holiday, Leslie and the staff go all out to make it a fun, big, party! Lots of pictures are taken at these events. There is an exercise class every morning between breakfast and lunch, then at 2PM, Bingo, Wii, or an Arts and Crafts activity is offered. There is a social hour in the late afternoon, an hour before dinner. The caregivers, called Homemakers, check in on the residents throughout the day, talk with them, make them laugh, or give a word of encouragement, always making sure each resident feels like they belong and have purpose. I live out of town, so I enjoy having the daily peace of mind knowing Mom is in good hands! It is a blessing Mom can call Columbia Cottage, home!
