Very nice. Grateful that facility is in our community.

My parents moved into Columbia Cottage, Florence, AL, on [date removed]. Mom was coming out of three months of rehab, was using a wheelchair to get around, and has some dementia. Dad is on a walker, and probably could have stayed in their home, but he wanted to be with Mom (probably due to their 71 years of marriage). This is honestly the best decision our family has ever made! Mom has thrived, now using a walker if she remembers it. She thinks she is truly the queen because everything is done for them - all she has to do is get out of her chair to go to the dining room for meals - and was so surprised when trays were delivered to their apartment when she was sick. They both love that they can get their hair done on site, without calling my sister for a ride. Both parents used to be "snackers", and we put the usual snacks in their apartment. However, because they are eating such good meals, and desserts, of course, the snacks remain untouched. We have caught them enjoying ice cream from the Country Kitchen more than once! When Dad had to be hospitalized and I came in from another state, staying in their home, Mom refused to come to the house, saying she was more comfortable in the apartment with the staff and other residents around. There could never be a greater compliment, in my eyes. "Thank you, Cottages" isn't enough for all they have done. And my sister and brother in law are so pleased with the Cottages, they are trying to get his Mom to move there, too.

Great place. They love their residents & several staff have been there for years, so you know they think of the place as home. Great management. They also go with your parent to dr appts. & they sit with them at the hospital till family arrives. That shows a lot of compassion. You can walk through their doors & tell that their residents feel at home. They are out & about.

I enjoy living here. The staff is wonderful. Everyone is friendly and the food is great.

My mom and dad were at this facility and dad passed shortly after moving here so Mom is just settling in now with a new routine. The faculty and care they have shown my parents are good. They will engage mom to join in the activities. She is meeting friends. They have 3 really good meals a day. She is in a 1 bdrm apartment and they will make her bed daily and they will wash the linens. They also clean 1x a week. The have a nice long porch with rocking chairs out there. I would recommend this community.

Plain View has excellent personal service. Everyone there is super friendly, and they seem like they care. The Director,[Removed] is a really nice guy, and so far, we've been very well satisfied. The food is really good too. It's more like home-grown food rather than hospital food. The community is also about 15 minutes away from our house, so it is very convenient to visit.

A Place for Mom was a godsend! Special thanks to [Removed] for being so helpful during a difficult time for me and my family. She directed me to a wonderful place that was affordable and fabulous. My mom is happy and I’m happy.

We like this community for good care for my mom. The staff is attentive and caring. The community is clean and I like knowing that it is maintained for my mom. The menu is average. They serve the bigger meals at lunch time and not dinner. They need more of a variety. They offer a lot of activities that she is enjoying. My mom likes the trips away from the community. They offer personal care for hair needs. My mom likes the movie nights and a lot of the card games. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

I love what I see here, but smoking isn't allowed, even outside on the grounds. [Removed] will not go for that.

The community here is outstanding. The community is very clean and maintained.The menu is good and my mom happy with all of the meals that are provided. I like knowing that my mom is active and making friends. We would recommend the care and the great value to other families.

We toured this community for care. We were told that it would be a certain price for the care. We did not like that the price kept increasing. The community was clean and maintained. We did like the list of activities for the residents. We would recommend this community for other families to tour for the care of a loved one.

Country Cottage is a very secure and well managed facility. I am going to take my parents to view it on Monday.

The staff are nice. Mom seems to be happy with the food. They keep the community clean. We like the setup of the community. It is small buildings with six to eight residents and they share a dining room. I would recommend this community.

I am very satisfied with The Blake. My husband has been on the physical therapy program, he has regained his strength and he's not falling as much. I think their people are much better trained to deal with residents. If he forgets his walker they take him by the hand and walk him over to his walker. They are very loving and caring towards all the residents. They try to keep their residents involved in activities as well. They offer a fall prevention program.It's a wireless system and if it goes off it immediately notifies someone to help him. I am so pleased with this community and would recommend them to anyone.

We are very pleased with this community. The food is great my dad says. He also is happy with the care that he is receiving. The community is clean and they are always making sure dad's room is clean. The only thing that bothers me is that they do not have much of activities for the residents.

I toured this community when we were looking for a place for my father. The staff was friendly and the community was clean. We ultimately decided to move elsewhere but they left a good impression.
