We toured this location and thought it looked very nice. The staff were friendly and it looked good. It provided both assisted living and memory care, which is something we were interested in since Mom is not quite ready for a memory care specific facility quite yet. This one was a bit too far to be a real option for us, as well.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and well kept. The activities are varied and clients are watched over when not at the facility. They added charges to the monthly fees without notice and while they listened to my concerns, they did nothing about them.

Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. They worked with us to get my parents into the personal care unit even though they did not have a suite available.

They're not perfect, the cleanliness is good, the care is excellent as far as keeping up with her medications. She complained that they don't let her sleep enough but they get them up and get them dressed, they don't lie around in their gowns all day and they're just not going to let them sit in their rooms all the time. She does go to church activities on Sundays, she was in physical therapy for a little while but she does the little stretch classes, they get her up and going. Basically, Chancellor's Village was the first one that my wife actually toured and she really liked that one but it was a little more costly, but after everything was said and done we moved her over there but I think this is more her type of atmosphere, her own little apartment. She's been through a lot this year and it got to the point where she couldn't be left home alone. So far this has been working out very good, I think it's good for her and it gives the family a peace of mind.

I'm very pleased overall and I would highly recommend it to anybody who has a pet. I try to temper my expectations and knew from the get go that things were not going to be all rosy, no place is going to be like home but I think for all of us it has been a real good thing, you have to take all of the complaints with a pound of salt. I would say that the thing I maybe a little disappointed with is they really talk a good gameas far as getting my mom involved and getting her a buddy and they were good for the first week but then it tapered off. I think mom and a lot of other seniors need a friend for more than a week, it was kind of like they left her to her own devices. I think it's more of a sales device for them than an actuallity but other than that I feel the place has really met our expectations, cleanliness, staff is friendly and the food is really good.

My father is there and we love it! It seems to be working out well. Several family members have gone to lunch with him so far and people are friendly and the food is good. The room is beautiful. It's a beautiful facility. I don't know if they're caregivers or housekeepers but they do help the elderly people with just about everything and they were so helpful.

the huge 'get in' $ is prohibitive. independent living is very nice but too expensive. assisted living area is too small & too expensive.

Good food, lots of activities, great studio apt very spacious. Would work with us on getting the bath tub altered so that my mother coud step in. Refrigerator included in the kitchnette. Overall I thought this was the best bang for the buck. The people that worked there were friendly and courteous. The place was so clean and fresh.

Only has independent living.

Good price for services. Facility was single hallway, which i thought was a little dark and confining. Rooms were huge.

Nice facility but expensive.

food is not as I expected,very poor quality. I find our self eating less in the dining room per weeks,probably three times a week at Best. Which means more expense for us as I have to buy and prepare our food.

Our parents moved to The Birches two years ago when they were too ill to move home on their own. The director was caring and helped us through Mom's passing two months later. Dad moved from a one bedroom suite to a Deluxe suite and both suites have a kitchenette which is a big plus. Not all personal care facilities offer this setting. The kitchenette makes it feel like an apartment not just a room. The staff at The Birches felt like family and friends from the start! Senior Physical Therapy Services on site was wonderful and helped Dad rehabilitate. Having a hair salon on site, and transport to Grand View Hospital are all big pluses . We felt the need to use CBD Oil to aid Dad with sleep issues and the administration at The Birches were progressive enough to research and approve CBD oil use! Our family is so appreciative for their good care !! [Name removed]

This community looked nice and appealing when we visited. The memory care unit is more restricted. This community is a little more expensive than what we were looking for and they have upcharges for different services needed. The first meeting we had with the sales person was pleasant, however they felt a little pushy. The sales person also seemed aggressive after we left.

I was not pleased with the way that I was treated at Traditions. When I spoke with someone on the phone prior to my tour, they told me one thing and when I got there they told me another. It was not what I was looking for.
