I have enjoyed the first 2 months that I have been here. The staff is attentive to my needs. Enjoy playing bingo and cornhole games with the other residents. Each morning, I go for a walk around the grounds. The physical therapy I receive each week has made my legs stronger to enjoy this. So far a good experience.

The people who gave us the tour were great. When we walked in I did get a nursing home feel and there was a distinct odor. It is an older, small facility. I did notice the staff who worked there were older which makes me feel they had been there a while and were committed to their job/residents.

The community was beautiful. The room would have had to share a room, and it was still out of our budget. The other downfall was the community only having a memory care wing.

For my loved one this community was a good choice. The staff is reasonably responsiveness anytime I had questions

We do know they offer a lot of activities, and we do not have anything bad to say. With covid going on, this community was one of the only care centers in the entire county that did not have one case of covid. They locked everything down tight, they took it very seriously. They have kept our loved one safe, and it is a good place. The food in the memory care can use some improvements but the food on assisted living was pretty good.

When we first came to visit this community we really liked how friendly the staff was, and clean everything was kept. Everyone seemed to be active, the residents were always out and about. Before COVID they had plenty of activities for the residents to participate in. Some of those were move nights, they had game rooms where they could play card games like poker. There was yoga classed, and sometimes they would take small excursions. The food used to be wonderful they really made nice meals, but due to COVID the food is similar to cafeteria food.

My mom hoped to stay in her own home forever but when she decided it was no longer safe for her to be alone Senior Commons was her first choice. Over the years she had been to most of the other assisted living facilities and always felt this was the best fit for her. So when it was time we were so happy they had space available. Its been about six months now and she has been very happy the whole time even during the pandemic. Everyone has been kind and goes out of their way to be helpful.

The staff is very friendly and have done a good job during Covid-19. They have been communicating well with us about what they are doing to respond to it and have done a good job protecting the residents. The care is pretty good as well. Our loved one likes the food!

Dad has been living at Heritage Green since [date removed]. He moved here in a wheelchair from rehab and the therapists had him back on his feet using his walker within the month! All of the staff are wonderful - everyone is so friendly and caring. During this health crisis HG has done a great job keeping the residents safe and providing ways for the families to stay in touch, even though we cannot visit in person. I am very grateful to everyone at Heritage Green and highly recommend this facility.

Two years ago I had to make the very difficult decision of moving my grandmother into an assisted care facility. She had lived at her home for 60+ years and after my grandfather’s passing I knew she could no longer live there all alone. A family relative had mentioned Chestnut Knoll and I’m so thankful they did. I was so lucky my grandmother got to be part of the Chestnut Knoll family for the past two years. I never had to worry if she was being taken care of. There were lots of activities for her to do. Bingo was her favorite! She also enjoyed the food there. Always looked forward to the yummy ice cream and desserts =) They also had great bus trips for the residents. Getting to go with my grandmother to Longwood Gardens is a wonderful memory I will always remember! We enjoyed it so much. I’m so thankful for ALL the staff there. They had been nothing but welcoming from the first day I walked through the door and I had always been greeted with smiling, friendly faces. If I ever had a question about anything or just needed someone to talk to, the staff was always there for me. Chestnut Knoll had truly become like a second home for me over the past two years and I will miss the staff greatly! Thank You Chestnut Knoll!

Fabulous place for my mom, the staff is terrific and cares so much for the residents and keeping them safe and happy. I recommend this place highly!!

My mother moved into her new suite at The Birches in April, 2019. She had previously lived with my wife and I for 3 years. In those years, Mom would spend the day in her pajamas and watching television. All though we made her meals and dispensed her meds, we saw that her health was declining and her muscles were getting weaker due to lack of activity. Mom had become a fall risk. It was time to look for a safe place for her to eat properly, monitor her meds, introduce physical activity and rebuild a social interaction with people of her age. I had spent several months visiting personal care facilities in the Holland-Newtown area, trying to find just the right one for Mom’s comfort. The only facility I had visited twice and eventually became my choice, was The Birches! I liked the fact that it was a smaller, modern facility with the right amenities to be a good fit for Mom. It was obvious that the whole staff (Director, Marketing, Nursing, Med Techs, Physical Therapy, Activities, Dining, Housekeeping and Receptionist), were professional and genuinely cared for the residents at The Birches!  A special thanks to [name removed], from the Birches Marketing Team, for her professional guidance which led me to the decision to bring Mom to her new home! The transition from my home to her new suite was seamless and she quickly settled in. In no time, Mom was back to her own self, meeting new friends, socializing, attending activities and taking local trips on the Birches shuttle. With daily exercise, Mom got a lot of her strength back.  At age 87, my Mom has an enjoyable life - THANKS TO THE BIRCHES !!!

This is a great facility! I had to recently relocate my mother from the DC Area where she had been in her current home for more than 42 years in a rushed situation. At the age of 91, this is difficult. The staff at Heritage Green worked with me to make the transition as smooth as possible and made sure that she was given the attention she needed. From the minute I walked in to Heritage Green to fill out the paperwork, all of the staff were so pleasant and displayed a caring feeling. As I walked over to see where Mom would be staying, I saw first hand how the staff interacted with the residents. They are caring, patient, and expressed to me when I asked one staff member that she treats the residents as she would her Grandmother because she know one day she will be like them. The food is great and the daily activities are varied and provide something that everyone enjoys. They even take the residents out for rides in the van several times a week just so they can get out. If you are looking for a place to put Mom or Dad when they need assistance, this is definitely the place for them to be. It gives me peace of mind that she is well cared for and happy. While I went every day in the beginning to check on her, I now go just to see her. No matter when I showed up, morning, noon, afternoon, evening or weekend, it was always a positive and productive attitude with the staff members. They even go so far as to provide things for them to do on the weekends. This is such a plus as it gets boring if they do not have activities. Heritage Green also has activities during the month that engage the general public. They are seminars on subjects that are of interest or just events for fun. This is an additional way to engage the residents with the world around them. I cannot say enough good things about Heritage Green. This is just an awesome place! If you are looking into a facility, this should be the only place you look.

My mom has been a resident of Heritage Green for 2 years, and I would recommend this facility to others. The staff are kind and understanding and know how to deal with sometimes challenging patients in the memory care area. They really try to keep the residents involved and offer a variety of daily activities.

Not only do the residents feel at home, but visiting family members also feel like a part of the Heritage Green family. We are greeted by name and with smiles when we visit my brother, who has lived in memory care at Heritage Green for almost one year. As his illness has progressed, the care he receives has also increased; therefore, we have peace of mind concerning his well being. The staff is attentive, and the residents have enjoyable activities daily, including outings on the Heritage Green bus, cupcake parties, sing-alongs and musical entertainment, and crafts. The staff at Heritage Green is amazing! After visiting a couple of nearby facilities, we quickly knew Heritage Green was "the one." Dad had Alzheimer's and needed 24-hour care. So we moved him (along with mom, to be by his side) into the Memory Care unit in August 2018. The staff treated dad with love, respect, and dignity while he was a resident for nearly 10 months. Many of the staff members became family to my parents, my sister, and me. If we ever have a question or concern, staff and/or administration is quick to respond by phone or email. While dad has since passed, mom is looking forward to moving to the Assisted Living unit at Heritage Green. There are numerous activities and outings to keep her busy and stimulated. I can't thank the staff enough for taking such wonderful care of my parents.

Grace Church Bethlehem spent some time without a church building. During that time, Traditions warmly welcomed a women's bible study, lead by Grace members into their facility. We have had the pleasure of meeting there for 2 years where we have found everyone from the desk clerk, to the service department, to the the residents very pleasant and helpful. Our studies are open to all residents. The ones that have joined us have shared how Traditions has gone from a facility to their HOME and that is exactly how it feels to us as we enter each week. We are Thankful for their generosity and hospitality.
