My wife [name removed] and I visited Senior Commons at Powder Mill last week. [Name removed] and [name removed] were fabulous. They answered all of our questions, provided all of the information we needed, and we could feel their passion for providing for their residents, bending over backwards when needed, and wanting to make the Powder Mill community "home" . They were so friendly and welcoming! The community was very clean, beautiful, and well maintained. Lounge areas were comfortable and inviting. All of the residents we met were friendly and welcoming. We had some nice conversations with them. All of the Associates we met were very friendly and professional. The housekeeping lady was very nice, friendly and cheerful as we engaged her in conversation. The Food Service Director and the dining associates we met were very nice, attentive, eager to please and their pride in their work was evident We had lunch and it was great! We met the Shuttle bus driver and he was very nice. The Club Room was a very nice space for activities. Their activities calendar and Dining menu were great. We were looking at Independent Living rooms. The 1BR and 2BR apartments were very nice, lots of room, open, well lit and nicely equipped. We came away very pleased with everything we saw.

We found ourselves in a tough situation. My sister was in need of respite care for a month or two or so we thought. We discovered that her medical needs were far more that we could handle at home. We turned to the staff at Senior Commons for help with additional care needs and how to implement it. [name removed], Resident Care Director, took the initiative to call and facilitate services that needed to be put in place taking the stress off of the family. She went above and beyond staying late into the night to help my sister. Our family feels blessed that my sister [name removed] is here. She is well taken care of with meals, safety, and medication management. We also found Susan in activities is always encouraging her to be part of the festivities and meet new people. I highly recommend trusting this community to care for your loved too.

Great choice for my parents. It is very difficult when it comes time look for a place for a loved one that can no longer live in their home and own their own. After extensive research the Manor at Market Square made it to one on the top of the list to contact and visit to see if they may be what I was looking for for my senior parents. We were impressed at our first visit and was impressed with tour, [name removed] was awesome and answered all questions that we presented. However my parents were just not ready to commit to a move at that time. Over the following months [name removed] touched base occasionally with my parents and me to just check in, see if there were any questions and even just to invite them to a function at the manor. When my parents decided to make the move we visited again to go over details and get answers to other questions. Once again [name removed] was there and she provided information to assist with with the move. During the time frame leading up to the move [name removed] went above and beyond, not only did she truly care what was best for my parents she also care how I felt as she realizes it is a very difficult time for all involved. My parents have lived in the Manor for 3 months now, every one on staff that we have encounter are always pleasant and smiling. I am amazed on how well they settled in and how comfortable they feel in their apartment at the Manor that they started calling home. I would highly recommend the Manor at Market Square

My mother was at Chestnut Knoll assisted living facility for 3 years. The staff at Chestnut Knoll made her last few years as pleasant as possible. One unique thing about Chestnut Knoll is that they have physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy right on site at the facility. Their philosophy is to help each resident be as independent as possible for as long as possible. I highly recommend this facility.

We are an elder law firm that has worked with the Birches for years. I absolutely love the staff here! They are compassionate, caring, and eager to learn. The kitchen staff go above their normal tasks to help residents feel comfortable. Maintenance can always be found wearing a smile and ready to help! The Nursing department is hard working and a dynamite team!

You want to have fun?!? Come to Traditions! Let me tell you about our fun here. We enjoy everything from Wii bowling to Mahjong, Pinochle, trivia games and so much more! You want to shop? We shop every week at malls and supermarkets. But don’t buy too much because you won’t have any room in your stomach! You want concerts? You get them every week at Traditions with live music. We dance and “boogie woogie" the day away here! You think we are old!?! We are YOUNG! Now to food….don’t swallow your tongue when you eat here! Our chefs try very hard to please us and they do a terrific job. The food looks good, tastes good (even without using salt). They provide a variety of healthy food and sweet treats to choose from. Every day there is something special offered. Even our chefs eat here so you know the food is good! Come and try it! But the most important thing is we have very nice people here to spend time with and enjoy our days together. Come to see and eat for yourself!

A well-managed assisted living facility, thank you for your service.

My mother stayed for 2 weeks for respite care after a serious injury. The staff was very nice, attentive, accommodating, and communicated well. Special shout out to the chef, [name removed], who made delicious soups for my mother every day (she had her jaw wired shut). The facility was clean and nice, and they had daily activities for the residents. It is also great that they allow pets, which gave me the opportunity to visit with my dog, which raised my mother's spirits, along with much of the other community members as well!

My brother-in-law was very reluctant to move. The tour process was incredible because it changed his mind. Once a resident, the staff was 100% helpful at every interaction with him and our entire family. Not a single team member left our presence without stopping and asking if there was anything else they can do for [name removed] or for us.

I love this place and my aunt and uncle will be very happy hear! [Name removed] and [name removed] were awesome and so very kind and helpful which made the process so much easier. It’s a very welcoming and beautiful place!

Heritage Green took care of both of my parents. And with the exception of one person, everyone was exceptionally friendly toward me and my parents. As soon as I raised the issue regarding one employee, that issue was immediately resolved. Living 3000 miles away, I could only visit occasionally, yet Heritage Green kept me up to date with any changes to their care and their over all wellbeing. Heritage Green was a please to work with. Thank you for taking care of my parents.

I'm just here 3 months. I find it very friendly and willing to help in every day ways. The people here are very willing to help in all situations. The other residents are friendly and kind - they offer a lot of different programs to participate in including bingo, exercise, trivia, music, painting and religious services. I am very happy here.

The Birches as Newtown is wonderful, I can't recommend it highly enough. The nurses and aides really got to know and care about him as a person. The aides came around pretty frequently to check on him. Food was great too. He wasn't much of a joiner so he didn't partake in many activities, but from what I saw, there was a nice variety and the other residents seemed to enjoy themselves. He loved having his own studio, which was way more space than he needed! Holy cow it was huge! The dining area was very gracious and calm, which he really enjoyed. My dad lived there for about 4 months before he passed away in the hospital, but it was home to him. He was very very happy there. The quality of his life was very good at Birches- much better than living in his old home by himself, and way better than rehab in a nursing home (where he came from prior to moving in).

Great place for my mother.

We moved my Mother-in-Law to Traditions two years ago and are thankful everyday for her wonderful experiences. The staff is excellent and caring. The staff continues to take excellent care of my MIL. They go above and beyond and that makes all the difference. My MIL really feels that Traditions is her home, with fun adventures, amazing staff and wonderful new friends.

Mom received excellent care as well as attention to all the little details to make her stay a wonderful experience. I commend all staff members since it takes a lot of people to provide all that The Birches offers. Many times mom has said that EVERYONE was so caring and she enjoyed all the meals. It meant the world to our family that Mom was happy, safe and well cared for. The commitment of the staff certainly shines!

Heritage was one of the smaller of th care facilities that I visited but that was one of the reasons i liked it. Sometimes in a bigger facility, there's more of noise and hustle and bustle. It was about 15 minutes from my home. It has only 16-18 beds on memory care unit, i believe. Residents rooms can be shared where there are two people in the same room or they can have a single room. They have single rooms that come with or without a kitchenette area. The residents can bring their own TzV for their room. They have a large community area when they can play games or watch TV. They have skilled nurses available in the day and CNA and MED TECHS in the evening and night hours.
