Nice rooms, very spacious, good food, clean and overall genially impressed. Plenty of space in the community to relax and it is open and light which is very nice to see. The people I saw seemed very happy, will be coming back

I really like the atmosphere here, the people seem really nice and there are fun activity's that the residents can enjoy. Beautiful location, has a pond on the side that is quite nice to look at. Clean community with extra care as well.

One of the very best decisions that my family made for our loved one. Very caring environment, clean, very friendly staff. Such a great place for my loved one to call home. The outside is beautiful with a pond and walking path. I would give this community a 10

We moved our mother over to Summit Glen in December 2019. She is 95 and before moving her over here she had lived in Grand Junction on her own after our father passed away in 1997. We wanted her closer to us and wanted her to be in a safe, clean environment. After researching many other facilities, we decided that Summit Glen was the best place for her. She has a single room unit on the second floor with a walk out balcony, and since she has to use a walker the entire facility is very accommodating to her condition. The managers live onsite so all of the residents get 24/7 care if needed. The facility serves 3 meals a day, which are very delicious and the entire facility is very clean and maintained. Since moving in the managers have always treated her like she was their mother and will do anything for her. Even when the cover outbreak hit, the managers were very attentive to the residents needs and even delivered meals to their rooms. There has not been one single cover case in the facility, mainly due to the managers quick thinking and decision making to keep everyone safe. The best place in Colorado Springs, VERY HIGHLY respected..

No complaints over the last 5 years. Very helpful and professional. Kudos for the discipline shown in protecting residents over yearly influenza seasons and now coronavirus. I feel my mother is as protected as much as reasonably possible. Keep it up. Consistency is the strategy !

I am extremely happy with the Lodge. My father-in-law has been there for 6 years and I am in charge of his care but I live over 2 hours away. I have found them helpful with getting things taken care of long distance. If I call the are responsive. The services that the provide on location are extremely helpful.

I've had my parents in Shad's Landing for three years now. Without any reluctance, i must rate them five stars across the board. Of course, categories like "care services" have to be considered in the context of where they operate on the independent living to skilled care spectrum (closer, of course, to the former than the later). It certainly is more than a senior apartment; unless, you want it to serve as a senior apartment. Beyond meals, they have services, activities, and programs. Also, as it is an independent living arrangement, residents can have service providers come into their homes (and the staff can facilitate making connections to quality providers that service residents). All if this, positions them to fill a broad, yet, not too broad; and an appropriate space in the "spectrum" I referred to earlier. They manage this "appropriate environment" dynamic (if this makes sense) very well and, with tact and professionalism. Other than the infrequent ultra trivial complaint (e.g. they ran out of one of the options on the menu), I can think of no noteworthy "beefs". As it is more "communal" than living, say, in rural farmhouse, it is best if residents practice some flexibility and present themselves with an affable and pleasant demeanor. Though, if you choose, you can "keep to yourself" some without offending anyone. As my parents have been there for three years, there has been some staff turnover but, no more than you'd expect as people traverse through their work lives. Despite the normal turnover, there is consistency in the staffing. They must have effective leadership and processes to consistently maintain the caring, compassionate, pleasant, and professional staffing. We made the right decision in moving my parents into Shad's Landing. It positioned them in a safe, clean, and pleasant environment, run by a competent and caring staff, while adding some lifestyle enhancement options

My parents have been a resident at Shad’s Landing for the past 5 years. The manager [name removed] and her team truly put the needs of all residents first. [name removed] is responsive and ensures that my parents needs are addressed as well leading the team by example. I am extremely please with this community and feel incredibly blessed to have my parents live here.

All the staff at Shad's Landing is very efficient and helpful. They take all the proper precautions to make sure the community is secure and safe! Compared to many of the communities that have dealt with unfortunate outbreaks across the country, they have excelled making me and my family feel special and gained our total trust that all security measures during this Pandemic are enforced. My family is very happy with the tireless job that has been committed on this property. Thank you for all you do at Shad's Landing!

My 97 year old mom has lived at Summit Glen for almost 2 years. She absolutely loves it there. They have so many fun activities for residents and the food is delicious. The managers promised to take care of Mom as if she were their mom and they have kept that promise every day that she has been there. This was especially evident during the Covid crisis. They have taken excellent precautions and there have been no cases of Covid at the Glen. It was difficult during the time that they were completely locked down and we couldn't visit Mom, but Mom remained cheerful and happy because all the staff checked on her and made sure she was doing well. In June Mom had some health issues (not Covid related obviously) and we had to take her to urgent care three times. I was so grateful that management has allowed me to sign in as a caregiver for Mom so I have been able to help her through her health issues. She's had a couple of video doctor visits which she would never have been able to handle on her own, so it was imperative that I be there to help with those. When I sign in, they take my temperature and ask all the Covid questions. I always wear a mask. I can't say enough wonderful things about Summit Glen! It's the best!!

I feel very satisfied with Stone Lodge. With the corono virus, It is a difficult time for all that are involved. The staff all are nice & I appreciate their care in keeping us safe & trying to keep things pleasant as possible.

Well i have always appreciated [name removed] for her personal service and seeing that my room was clean, bed was made the way i preferred and linens were replaced. The kitchen staff have worked hard to.provid the food we prefer, I like lots of veggies, NOT overcooked and they do what they can considering the varied tastes of the many different residents,I also prefer fresh fish but oh well and Asian, Latin, ethnic foods are my preferences BUT I am realistic, so i appreciate all their efforts and try to let them know if i thoughtsomething was really special. I always enjoyed the outings and the extra attention that [name removed] gave on our many trips to docs, stores whatever. Havent attended many activities but that is on me, there is a variety offered and i only hear positive remarks. I hear all the fun from those who join in card games and know most enjoy the movies being shown. I really appreciate the extra effort put in to decorating and celebrating all the special days in our life, world. I complain alot but know i am very lucky for the care and friendships i have developed here.

I feel the staff has done an excellent job of keeping us safe but recently there has been a lax in enforcing the mask required policy. I have seen both residents and staff not following the protocol as a result we have had two testing of the virus in the last three weeks. I only hope they enforce the restrictions they have stated they have and continue to keep us safe.

Summit Glen is where my Mom wanted to go after my Dad passed. She couldn’t have chosen a better place and is so happy there. The managers are the most caring and compassionate people and they take the best care of their residents. It was rough not being able to visit Mom during the COVID shut down. However, they now allow limited visiting hours. They are being so careful having to buzz in to check-in at the managers office with temperature check and masks are required. So thankful for Summit Glen and the entire staff,

Very impressed with community. Staff very helpful - Community clean and very inviting. Unfortunately, family wants me closer to them, so I won't be able to join the group.

My mother has lived at Summit Glen for over 3 years now and she has been very happy there. The meals have been wonderful (we eat with her occasionally) and the dining room provides lots of social interaction among the residents. There are lots of activities of various kinds and encouragement to be a part of things. Since the Covid crisis the management has been flexible to allow us to occasionally come as a caregiver when her caregiver could not come (of course checking for any Covid symptoms and taking our temperature). This has made my mother feel less socially isolated and I believe it has helped keep her spirits up during this unsettling time. Since there have been NO cases of Covid at the residence, I applaud the staff's flexible decisions as we social distance but also maintain social connections.

We moved our Mom into Mountain View Gardens a year and a half ago. She had lived in her home for 30 plus years and was overwhelmed and frightened the first day at Mountain View. [Names removed] help, care, concern and adept handling in her transition to her new life was miraculous. Within three days she was loving her new life. Now, she tells me she wants to live out her life at Mountain View Gardens and loves it there. The facilities are beautiful with full services but [name removed] and [name removed]go beyond that. They have helped us immediately resolve any questions we have. Good people in a great place

My father has lived at Summit Glen for six years. He truly feels it is HOME! [Names removed] and all the staff go out of their way to interact with the residents and make them feel special. My father has made many new friends and has enjoyed all the activities, programs and games provided for the residents’ enjoyment. He always tells people he enjoys “three gourmet meals a day!” We agree! We’ve shared many dinners with him at Summit Glen and they are always delicious. Recently we have all felt the fear of COVID and worried about the safety of our loved ones in senior communities.[Names removed] have gone out of their way to keep Summit Glen safe and COVID free and for that we are so grateful. We can’t recommend Summit Glen enough!

When we first went here they were changing management and it was a little chaotic, however that has since been reminded. The new management people are great and they have done a nice job with the changeover. My mother seems pretty happy with the activities. The food quality is great and the way they structure the meals is very well done as well. We feel that Steeplechase Gracious Retirement is a good value for the money especially considering other communities we have had contact with in the past.
