Staff are attentive, the food is good, many scheduled activities, transportation to medical appointments and shopping several times per week. They have various sizes of apartments to choose from based off of your needs/wants. Overall it has been a great fit for my mom.

We looked at a lot of places. And though this location didn't have as many amenities as a lot of places, what it had tremendous amounts of is community. It was obvious the tenants here were active, social, and enjoying their time.

Great caring place. Meals are time consuming and sometimes not warm enough but good quality. Needed two bathrooms. And they accommodate our request.

From the moment we walked in, we knew this was the place to home them. The staff considers it the residents's home and tells them so. Managers live on-site so they have skin in the game as far as the operations go. I could live there myself -- and well may in a couple of decades!

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The price was reasonable and the staff were going out of their way to try and get my mom there. They even offered to pay for the movers. But my mom changed her mind at the last minute.

The staff was friendly and caring, but sparse. In the current economic climate, they were understaffed especially on weekends when their younger help would leave to go socialize. The apartments were beautiful and spacious.

With the exception of quality of care, all of these are a five. We did not use that service. Wilshire was exceptional in so many ways. Especially friendliness of staff, cleanliness, and value for cost. If we are blessed and my mother recovers fully, we are hoping she can return here.

The Mountain View Gardens community is a nice safe place with very friendly and caring staff members. Based on the experience we have had so far, I would recommend this community to other families.

I’ve lived at Glenmoore for years and I love it. There’s no buy in and no pet fee. The managers live here, and there are 2 of them available 24 hours a day. We are just off Sunnyside, so it’s residential but very near tons of shopping. It’s like a big family! We have a bus for transportation and lots of fun activities.

The staff is absolutely wonderful. The marketing director made things work for us even though we were very nervous with our situation and leaving my mom they made it a smooth transition. My mom has made several friends just in the first few months. We visited a few other places and are glad we choose Providence Meadows. I would recommend this facility.

I am currently a resident at Carolina Estates. I would recommend this facility to others. I love it here. Is it perfect? No, of course not. But nothing is. I think the value is good.

My loved one is currently a resident at Orchard Heights and overall the experience has been good so far. I would recommend the facility to others, but perhaps the facility could provide a suggestion box so that the residents could put their views in privately.

Liberty Heights in Rockwall is a warm, inviting place. The apartments are very nice and can be decorated well. The staff is top notch and show much kindness and professionalism toward all residents. They are quick to respond to their needs. Highly recommend.

My loved one is currently a resident at Cottonwood Estates and most everything has been great for her so far. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The staff and the activities are also great. The food is okay. Overall, we are happy that we ended up here and would recommend this facility to others.

She loved it there. We didn't require the Care Services, if you mean someone assisting her with basic things. She was pretty self sufficient.

After my mother had been at Colonial Harbor just short of a year (11 months), she was notified that her rent was being increased by over $1,000 a month. This means we will likely have to be moving her somewhere, and I have no idea where, by the end of this year. I am trying to find out more information on a grant program that may be available to her but there is a fine line between Assisted Living and Independent Living as far as the grant is concerned. People should be advised to check how often rent increases happen and by what percentage - I was blindsided.

We shopped around for my sister for a good place for her to live independently and were very pleased upon first seeing Parkrose Chateau. Since my sister has moved in, we have been even more impressed. First of all, she seems to be thriving, which means everything to us. Second, the staff is wonderful (kudo's to [name removed]!), the food is good, there are great on-site and off-site activities and the cost is very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for someone who is looking for independent living. 5 Stars!

Highly recommend. The experience was wonderful. Not a single negative to report. The only reason residency was only for a year was because an ALF was needed.

High staff turnover- especially housekeeping and house managers. Facility is rather isolated not readily accessible to visitations, hospitals, public transportation, medical providers, stores, etc. Meals are repetitious and limited in quality and quantity. Most resident interaction is done at mealtime. One resident does a superb job voluntarily getting other residents to sing and and perform. Most residents have physical or mental limitations in this independent living environment.
