Dad went out there by himself and do not have good interactions with staff he spoke to.

Nice environment; Friendly staff; Food good: ate lunch and snack during tour; Looked at studio apartment: compact; Plenty of daily activities; Planned outtings; Pricey: not for middle class citizen.

This location has a very warm and inviting atmosphere. It is like family. The rooms however are small than anticipated and do not have kitchens which would be important for mom. [Name removed] was very inviting and showed us a lot of options. Not taking into consideration due to a kitchnette and not a full kitchen. Lovely place and warm people.

My son and I were very pleased when we first visited here, but things have changed since I moved in. While the place is very clean and the housekeeping staff is just wonderful, some promises about amenities were not kept. The bus that is supposed to provide transportation to weekly outings and to doctor appointments is broken down or has no driver. There is no staff here overnight, and some residents are far from living "independently." Two staff members, one of whom was recently fired, treat some residents like children and lecture them on what to say that is considered appropriate. I have heard this myself and staff members were always wrong. The food could be better, but it keeps improving. I would not recommend Colonial Harbor at this time; but we are getting a new manager in August, & things may improve.

Up in Oro Valley. No in-home care onsite. Can wear a necklace for $100/year. Seemed homey. Only a few studios for $2095.

This is a lovely location, nearest to [name removed] in Norcross on the north end. They have live-in managers and a really nice dining room area. Like the atrium layout and only 3 floors. Nice wooded area. CONS - Price is a big one. This place is about $800 over our $2,500 per month budget. No concessions. And the 1 BR apartment at that price was just OK. Only had a partial kitchen with no stove or oven. Not even a microwave. Just a frig.

First one we toured. Played Bingo (won a prize) and toured. Neat, clean, many amenities. After seeing all the others, we may want to go back to see it again.

Hard to put my finger on why I didn't really like this place. Possibly the representative who showed me around was very sweaty. I couldn't get over it. Plus this place is right on a busy road and I don't like that.

This a very nice apartment type living, which is very nice but not for us.

This community has set meal times and they bring the food around on a cart. They only offer two entries and the food was not great. I did not get the feeling that all of the residents were not happy here. The community is nice, however it is not in an area that would work for us. The managers we met with reminded us of used car salesmen. This community did not seem like the right fit for us.

My loved one's stay at Colonial Gardens is going great! The facility is very clean and well maintained and the staff is very friendly and polite. For the most part, my loved one is very fond of the food, as well as the activities, such as bingo, that are offered at this facility. My main concern is that resident and family requests are not always given the care and attention that they require, but overall, this is a very nice facility!

I liked the marketing director that helped me decide to move in, however he is no longer working here. They are looking for a cook. The food is ok. There is a high turnover with the servers at this community. They have had some changes in management as well. They offer a lot of activities and the community is kept clean.

When we toured this community my mom was not happy with they had to offer. The basics were good but she didn't see what she liked and decided to pick a different community.

I toured this community. I was not happy with this community due to the staff. I did like the community being clean and it is a new community. The community had a lot of activities that he would have been offered. The staff was not honest and the cost was more then what we wanted at this time. I would recommend

The people who does the tours tell you everything about Magnolia Heights and an awful lot of things that are not true. They say many Programs they provide and in reality they do not. I would not recommend this place to my very worst enemy, well next to my worst enemy. Staff and cleanliness is very good more especially the ones we have now. their menu leaves a lot to be desired as they have a very hard time trying to give those that need a special diet. I continually leave the table hungry as by the time I can get the proper food it is cold or not really editable at least to my liking. The BIG draw back is the PARKING. There isn't enough parking for the residents let alone all the health aides coming and going. There is only about 6 handicap locations and many need them and more are needed to where handicap people that can't walk to far closer to their apartments. That is a very big thing to the barley able to walk people. Now available only at front door.

I think there are more residents leaving than choosing to live here. Staff will not answer direct questions about the problems, making me feel I'm a loser for even asking. Food service and cleaning staff are stretched too thin. No flexibility in when you can dine, unless you wish to pay $5.00 to get your food "to go." This isn't the way I choose to be treated.

These folks were so nice to give me a buzz during the hurricane to ask if I needed anything, makes me think they really care about people.

I took a tour of this community and I did like it for the most part. The community is a little older, but they always have it clean and neat. They also have nice rooms that are spacious that my loved and I liked.
