I chose Fairview Estates because my son lives in the area. He looked it over and spoke to people he knew and it got high marks. he thought it would be a good fit. The apartment sizes here are nice and really. I think they do the best they can with the meals, it is tough to come up with things that everyone likes on the menu. It is a nice place, the rooms are nice, the dining room is good, and the staff members get an A+. I would recommend them to others who are looking.

We chose Shads Landing because of the availability at the time. The apartment sizes here are on the smaller side compared to others we looked at. I do think they could use improvement on the meals and the prices on the apartments as well. I would not recommend to others looking.

We do think the value is very good, and we like the location and the accessibility of the community. From our understanding we do think they are able to do small activities but the main activities are limited, and we have not had the meals ourselves but they seem to be taking good care of our loved one.

The Woods at Holly Tree is a very clean facility, the staff members are very nice to the residents. However the improvement we think they could make would have to be with their overall communication.

If you can afford it, this is a great community. they always have someone checking up on the residence and this would a great place for your loved one to meet others that have similar interests. I would recommend this community to others and already have.

We really liked the facility itself. It had everything my loved one needed. Even on moving in, there were a couple of things she was very fussy about, for instance the wall color and the rug. And they accommodated us on those changes even before she moved. in. So that really set a good tone. A couple of the managers there were really terrific. They were very accommodating. My loved one lived on her own for more than 30 years, so this was a pretty big change for her. And they did a great job with her. There were a number of activities, and each month it would change. They had different themed activities, like a St Patty's theme for March, arts and crafts, bingo, exercise classes, yoga and such. They had some core things and then switched it up a little each month. My loved one was really neat herself, so it's hard to tell what housekeeping was doing vs. what she was doing. But her apartment was always spotless. I know they did at least light cleaning, like vacuuming and cleaning the bathrooms. And they did a good job of keeping the common areas neat and clean.

It's a nice community, clean, and the residents are nice. The staff is friendly. The apartments are on the smaller size but adequate. The apartments each have their own private outdoor area. There are lots of stores around the area. There is even a pharmacy that delivers to the community.

The Woods at Holly Tree is a newer facility, and the rooms are very nice. I didn't get to meet many people on our tour - just the marketing person. So I wasn't able to get much of a feel for the community. There was a mix-up regarding our appointment. I ended up having to wait 45 minutes, and when they finally came out, they said I was not scheduled for an appointment, even though they had emailed me about it the day before. So that was disappointing.

Good location for mom. Our tour was cut short by a medical emergency. Sha was so compassionate and supportive. It’s becoming clear mom needs AL but it was wonderful to learn of this resource in Cary.

Generally we've had a positive experience all in all. It's just that he quality of the food could be improved. My loved one says it's just not tasteful, it's bland, the sandwiches are skimpy, and there's not a lot of variety. The staff are very good. They're all very friendly. It's very clean here. The activities are good as well, although a little restricted due to Covid. But overall we've had a good experience, and I would recommend it to others.

The meal service was available all the time, and it was always delivered in a timely fashion so that would be a five out of five. However, our loved ones who are there say the quality of the food was not all that great, it was not appetizing or palatable. Under the circumstances the activities were limited, but they still tried to do as much as they could while social distancing. It is expensive, but when your in a retirement community where everything is all inclusive, the value is worth it.

The facility is very nice appears to be well organized and very accommodating in these trying times of Covid.

I had a very positive chat with [name removed] last week [date removed]. She is sending me further info. Location is good, new building is a plus. Only a kitchenette in apt is a negative. I would like a stove in case I wanted to do a little cooking. Three meals a day instead. I want to tour and see if a two bedroom makes sense for me here.

Very nice facility - however, we have decided that we do prefer a place with cottages.

The community is well maintained. They have a great staff and they are friendly. One of the weak points is the food varies dramatically. Some of the meals looked good and others looked weak.

I would tell others that our issue with Pioneer Ridge is the turnover in management and staff members. My parents have been here about 8 months and they have had 4 turnovers already which then leads to some other issues. As of right now, I would not recommend the community.

For the most part it has been a good experience. My mom said that sometimes they are not very receptive to her needs, so I think communication could be improved. There are some staff members that are very helpful and friendly that my mom really likes. She does have a piano in her room but she feels like she is bothering people so she does not play as much as she would like. The food is very bland, dry and does not have a lot of flavor. She is not eating because the food needs improvement, it is also being served cold to their rooms which does not help.

Think carefully before moving in, the community can be very expensive. The apt sizes are good but the food is horrible. They keep the building well maintained and they are quick to respond. I would not recommend this community

The community was very nice, clean, and fairly well run. My loved one and I didn't like how they did meals, as it took too long. The food was good, though. The management team was responsive, if you had a problem. The residents were very friendly. If you wanted companionship, or to hang out they were willing to do that. They also were open to you being by yourself.

The staff and management are nicer when you're looking into the facility than after you move in. The maintenance is very slow with in-room repairs and I have had to follow up several times The room sizes are good, and the food is fine. I would recommend this facility to others.
