My visit to Maple Ridge was very good. The tour was informative and I was able to get a good grasp of items I needed to know in order to make a decision with family items for my mother.

The people. The building and grounds. The price is what stood out. I would and have recommended to others.

Overall it's good. Mainly because of the set dining times, and its starting to show its age. However, It is light, bright and airy. I Love the library. There is a large screened- in swimming pool and a fire pit out back, gardens and a shuffle board. Plenty of places for games and puzzles, a pool table, free laundry facilities, a grand piano in the dining room, and a movie theater with tiered seating and popcorn. There are plenty of activities, outings, and a van to take you where you need to go. My dad thinks his apartment is large. The bedroom and bathroom and bedroom are spacious, there's plenty of storage, but kitchen area needs more counter space. There are several floor models to choose from. The people there are friendly, and the staff approachable and helpful. I think it also has the best prices and a convenient area to shops and restaurants. They have a special deal going on right now.

Stand out: activities, access to food and snacks. I would recommend

It was a nice place. I liked that there were 3 options for lunch each day. I liked the areas at the ends of every hallway. I went here first because of the location, right on the wash. It's bigger than I expected.

I am most impressed with the number of services available at Maple Ridge. The dining area and common areas are nice. I am not impressed with the kitchenettes as they are extremely small and do not have microwaves. Otherwise I was happy with what I saw. I am considering Maple Ridge as a possible home for myself.

Happy with the place. House managers are attentive; the facility is really clean and well kept up.

My sister is very happy there. The Staff treats her well and has been helpful in getting her settled in. She enjoys the activities and is very satisfied with the meals and service. The facilities are very clean.

I am enjoying living here. And the chef is very helpful with my food problem.

It seems a nice place and nicely run. The location seems so so ( a residential neighborhood north of Silver Spring). I am definitely considering it as a place to live in if I need some assisted living when I retire.

[removed name] kindly provided a comprehensive tour. The rooms were nicely organized and decorated with great detail. Steven has a good facility that shows well. [removed name] was very fair in his pricing and wanted to be sure that my concerns were addressed during the tour. I enjoy working with this facility and recommend their home to anyone interested

If assisted living is in the future may want to look at options that have a continuation of care. I would recommend this facility to others looking.

Love most of the staff at Stone Lodge. Food choices could be improved to include more fresh produce. Windows could be replaced to aid guest comfort as well as utility costs.

What we like the most about the community is the convenience, affordability, and their great staff. Yes, we would recommend Sanford Estates to other families based on the experience so far.

They are very friendly but don't seem to have a protocol for emergencies. That is why they got a 4 and not a 5.

They do not offer care, but I like that it's clean, smells good, they are good about decorating for the seasons. They could improve on their food options.

When my father first arrived I would have rated the place a five. But the three members of management were transferred. Although competent, the new members of management are not as involved with the residents. My father has made friends there. There is a nice sidewalk that goes around the building. He takes his daily walks. He also uses the exercise room. He has mentioned a lot of residents use the equipment. He plays bingo every week. (Maybe more, I forgot) And he loves the many individuals and groups that come in to play music from the olden days. Overall he is happy there.

I would give everything good marks. My mom has said the food quality has gone down since she moved in and they have had a problem replacing the activity director. The rent is high for an independent living but I hear it's not the highest. I would like to see some kind of refund if the renter doesn't use the meals.
