I moved my dad in several months ago. Every one was very friendly and the staff made sure he felt welcomed. They made sure he met a few folks to have dinner with on his first evening there, I joined him and met some lovely residents. It is pretty close to a busy business district on route 9, which can be a bit overwhelming if you aren’t used to it. Overall, I feel he’s happy there.

Sterling heights is a great place to live. It is a beautiful place with many outings and celebrations. Everyone is very pleasant and happy. It is close to many shopping areas and the airport as well. You have a gym,movie theater, library, media room and laundry rooms. You are served three meals restaurant style with a 24 hr tea and coffee bar with baked goods and fresh fruit. My mom is very happy about her move.

The manager that was there when we started was lovely but I was not as happy with with the current management all the staff are lovely. I would recommend Scholl Canyon Estates to others looking.

What we like the most about the Stoneridge community is the activities, location, the outside garden, the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff. That has all stood out to us. We would most likely would recommend this community to others

My loved one was previously a resident at Oak Park Retirement and the overall experience at this facility was good. Based on our experience, I would recommend Oak Park Retirement to others.

Sanford has been a good experience so far. As with every other place there have been bumps in the road but they are quick to address issues and have supplied a stable living experience.

If you are not particular about the dishes you eat, and you are willing to spend two hours eating a meal it is okay. There is no security during the day. The doors are locked at 8 pm but someone could follow some else in. They could make a lot of improvement but they seem to want to make changes. For the price it's okay.

I would say overall it's a good place and both my mother and grandmother-in-law are happy there.

The staff were good friendly and helpful. Some of the cleaning ladies were treated rudely by the residents. Too many wheel chairs for this not to be assisted living. Thought it was strange that so many were on the 3rd floor and often wondered how they would get down the stairs if there was a fire or other emergency. Washers and dryers were worn and did not function properly. That was one of the reasons mom wanted to leave. Bus that picked up residents had no wheelchair lift so those residents were left to find other means of transportation. Guest bathroom downstairs needed some work. Restrooms were always very clean but toilet lid was not seated properly and soap dispenser was broken. One maintenance man for that large of a complex might not be enough. So it takes some time before he can come by unless it is an emergency. Some of these items might have already been addressed but overall the experience at the facility was positive and in the scheme of things the above comments were just observations from mom. Food was good, staff was good, cleanliness was good. I think mom just didn't feel like she fit in well with some of the residents. Lol At 87 she is pretty set in her ways too!

I would recommend this facility. It seems to be a good fit. My adult children did their utmost to have my very clean and bright room decorated and all ready for my comfort. The staff are very much a team. They work well together and are very dedicated to making sure the residents are heard and cared for. The meals are good. Every once in awhile it is not great but they have optional meals that can be substituted. And other times just wonderful. Especially the themed buffet style events where we are encouraged to invite family to join. The housekeeper comes once a week. They remake your bed with clean linens and fresh towels, take out any trash and vacuum and mop the floors. Also they clean the bathroom thoroughly. The activities are varied from art class to bingo to reading of short stories to showcasing musicians every week. They are open to anyone who would like to participate.

As a family member visiting I would say it was great . As for my father he struggled and is no longer at the facility. The 90.00 per night stay in the family suite that included meals was a bonus for me when visiting my father.

From what I do know, he is very happy there. They did want to raise their fees this year, but they worked with him to keep it as minimal of an increase as he could handle based on his Pension and SS income. He does enjoy much of the staff and residents.

My loved one loves her room at Stone Lodge, but the meals are a different story. Some meals are good, but some can be undercooked or overcooked, even black. Finding a place to sit is also a problem because people save seats even though they are not supposed to. I am impressed with everything, except the food. The personnel are very friendly and learn names really fast. Seeing as how the rent is a lot less than some other places in the area, I think there is a lot of value for the money.

Speaking from what my sister-in-law commented, she found the staff to be very attentive and friendly. She liked the meals for the most part but since she is a late riser she rarely ate breakfast. She also consistently missed lunch and dinner on Wednesdays because of her part-time job. So she might have felt overcharged for meals. She left because she could get a much larger space for much less money at the nearby 55+ low income housing complex.

Most of the staff at Summit Glen are very friendly and helpful and the on site managers are very good, especially [names removed]. The only problems I see are with keeping enough, and good quality lower level staff such as maintenance and kitchen service. I think the meals are very good. The move in process was fine and the housekeeping is fine. I do recommend Summit Glen, but would recommend to anyone new that they make sure there are no maintenance problems with the apartment prior to move in or it will take a long time to complete once they have their money.

What I really like about Mulligan Park is I feel that I am in a safe place. Based on the experience I have had so far, I would recommend Mulligan Park to others, I am even trying to get some of my friends to move here.

My brother is living there. Based on my observations I would give an overall 4/5. It is a pleasant environment.

I wish I were counseled more on the transition to the new move for parents. I think it's an important and detailed step and I didn't fully understand all the ends and outs of care for parents. I did not fully understand about assistance and memory care.

The staff at The Woods at Holly Tree are lovely, but turnover is HIGH. At some point, housekeeping fell apart because of staff turnover. The food is very hit or miss in terms of quality - very disappointing. The building is well kept and the apartments are nice. Transportation offering is extremely limited - also disappointing. I'm not sure that I can strongly recommend this place, but it is a good economical option.
