Cleanliness of the facility was good Friendliness of the staff was good There were no activities in memory care for those patients. The woman that they hired to do activities, they turned her into a healthcare aid. My dad was pleased with the meals most of the time no problems there I got an emergency call on a Sunday morning. Had to take my dad to the ER. He had four fractured ribs and a hemothorax condition. He spent a week in the hospital. They did not report the fall and they don't know what happened to him It is what I was told. I am not the only family member that's unhappy with what's going on there. I would not recommend Harmony for any memory care patients. A lot of promises were made that we never kept. I know complaints were filed with the facility about things going on in memory care. One of the other family members told me she was visiting her father and an aid told her that she was the only one there with the 16 or so patients that they had. Staffing always seem to be short.

There was a lot of staff turn over when they were there which resulted in not having the best of care. It was a beautiful facility and a few great staff worked well with my parents. I'm thankful for those who helped us out a lot during a difficult time.

I am very disappointed in facility. It is new but the rest of it sucks. One of elevators had not worked in 5 months. The residents complain constantly about how bad the food is as well as the service. I think they could have much better activities for the residents.

I tried to move into an assisted living apartment for the first time. I was met with delay after delay. It didn't help that I have an HMO and who was to provide medications was an issue. My daughter attempted to stay in contact with the management staff but had a very hard time getting her calls, texts and emails returned. After 2 months we looked elsewhere. On the bright side, the food was excellent, tasty and well portioned for my smaller appetite. Thank you for the opportunity to try and become a resident, it just didn't work out.

[date removed] the entire building had pipes burst and flooded the theater, dining rooms, and many of the apartments. There has been contractors there every day since. The movie theater is still not open. Half the time the meals are horrible and can't be eaten. After 2 yrs of being open they finally get the hair salon open one day a week. And now are letting the stylist go because they want her to pay for use of the salon. They have so many available apartments. They have never been able to get them all rented. House keeping is hit or miss. And the communication by the director is non existent.

I fell for the "Families Serving Families" slogan. That is all it is a slogan. This is a business. Some of the people seem to care, but to most its just a job! My sister fell multiple times, and no one contacted me. Her belongs went missing, including her shoes and glasses. If you consider putting you loved one here, plan on being vigilant and check-in constantly.

The food has been a very big issue in the serving of food has been a very big issue. The care at night is nonexistent. There have been a few issues with medication's. I would not recommend putting someone there that has slight dementia because of the once in a while, pharmacy issues. And just say that there has been some improvements in the food, but there is still room for improvement and there is room for improvement in the upper management staff.

When I got there we were fairly happy. New Administration ran off all but one of the good employees and retained all the horrible employees. By the end no one cared, no one worked, and I would never send another person there that needed any assistance. We were in Assisted Living.

The meals and dining would get a -5. Before referring any other families please personally validate the community. Appearances can be deceiving. Administrator and other administrative positions turnover is extremely high for this community which speaks volumes about the working conditions/ atmosphere.

Staff is friendly, but they are extremely short staffed. We would not at this time recommend the community to other families. Unless they needed very little help and support and just a place to live with meals & med administration provided.

Most of leadership staff was brand new during our time there. I think Harmony has the potential for great care. I'd suggest having a clear idea of your/the resident's needs and following up closely for the first month to ensure needs are being communicated between staff and followed through with. But I think new staff was actively in the process of improving care so I'm hopeful it will be more positive for future residents.

My mom fell, broke a bone and is now hospitalized. This was not reported to me for 4 days. Communication really needs improvement. I have not heard from anyone at Harmony concerning how my mom is doing. This is extremely disheartening.

They are trying to get the standards up to par. This may not happen unless the leader is strong. The leader talks a good game but we'll see if he is effective. How they could improve: Better adhering to rules-not giving out door code, not using side doors to come in and out. Better security cameras. Better sounds /light to make staff aware if someone leaves incorrect door. Know that staff doesn't stay ion top of care such as changing depends in a timely manner. Taking patients to bathroom after meals. Keeping hallways/rooms clean from smells. Keeping rooms straight. Not waiting till patients are out of supplies before asking us to bring more. Just a few.

They work hard to get you in the community but they require a deposit b4 releasing paperwork to get an assessment. I didn't like that. It felt like a pressure tactic. I was very disappointed. I put money down, couldn't get dr to complete the paperwork and now I'm fighting with them to get my money back

There is a complete disconnect of information sharing from executives to staffers. Nursing staff seems to come and go (hired and fired) frequently with no updates to patient info with new staff...My mother was always given wrong meds at the wrong time despite days and weeks of us trying to set schedule. After 8pm and before 8am nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone to answer the facility's phone.

Harmony has staffing problems. It isn't an all inclusive resort. Take a look and ask questions. I will not refer anyone there.

We never actually moved in. Very high pressure sales pitch. After signing ALL the papers that you have to sign and paying the upfront money my friend decided she didn't want to leave where she was. This took a few days for her to decide. She has early stage dementia and I didn't want to cause her any additional distress. I tried calling the sales agent but couldn't get a call back right away. When I did talk with him, it was 7 days into the month so our 30 day notice extended into the next month charging a prorated rent for an empty apt that was never moved into. No consideration as to why she never moved in, just that company/corporate rules have to be followed. I have tried multiple times to reach the director to discuss this but she will not return my call. The facility is beautiful and the apts are nice but beware of the lower cost rent because they charge extra for some things that are included at other places. Make sure that you are given the time to read all the paperwork.

Our first experience was disjointed. No welcome, no wearable call tag given, very poor communication. I had to request a call tag after a week in the facility. Not transparent or forthcoming with vital info for PT. Deceitful answers to medical appointment questions from the head of nursing. The Med techs and other staff were delightful, but not enough of them. It seemed very mismanaged. After 2 months, it was apparent this wasn't going to improve, so we moved my mother in law to where she could receive better care for her health needs. We have moved her to Heatherwood and it's been night and day! I couldn't be more impressed with the care and attention she has received. The day we moved was rushed, trying to beat a snow storm. She literally got a red carpet rolled out and staff welcoming her. PT has been a priority and we are impressed with how many have popped in to just introduce themselves and say hello! I would recommend Heatherwood over Harmony any day!

We have been very unhappy with The Harmony. They just got a new administrator so we hope to see some positive changes.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend Harmony to anyone unless the director/manager staff got better. The way they talk to the residents as if they don't know finances is horrible. It was nice on our first visit but went downhill once Mom moved in.
