Harmony has caring staff and beautiful big apartment units but the building itself has a ton of maintenance issues. Several residents have had mold issues in their apartments and a leaky sprinkler system caused a leak in my Dads apartment this week soaking his bed and displacing him from his appointment for a week while repairs are made. The fire alarm is constantly going off.

Not enough staff for memory care unit . (They are working hard to figure out Memaw's needs. Food is ok at best right now. Serving ribs on a bone and barely warm carrots that most residents can't eat is beyond my comprehension??? Follow up between shifts was bad and getting better. The nurse Director is over worked but means well... Maintenance Department needs lots of HELP!

The administration staff have improved their communication with family; however, the techs do not have a clear communication practice. They also appear to not like my family member. They are not skilled in care for memory loss due to this they often dismiss her and unwilling to take time to clearly communicate with her. Family's should have clear expectations when meeting with administrator

For memory care they need more staff. I also think it would be good for them to have easier access to family to get into memory care. I don't particularly like having to ring a door bell and wait for staff to leave working with a resident to open the door. It is unnecessary delay. The facilities are updated, and the staff are pleasant. They do a good job keeping the facilities clean and the residents are often up and moving around if they can. The food options seem to be good and the laundry is done frequently, with very few items getting misplaced in the laundry process.

Harmony at Brookberry is not that old which is nice, but they have a lot of turnover. The employees that work with our loved one are nice but they are very limited on the time they have with the residents. We are not sure if our loved one takes their 2 weekly showers often at all. I just think Harmony is more concerned with its appearance and being newer than other place that I had looked at. It took them many weeks to deal with a hot water issues and an elevator that wasn't working. I would not have picked Harmony for MY loved one.

My rent was increased in less than a month after moving in and signing a lease another issue is dinner takes two to two and a half hours from the time you get there until the time you finish

The facility is very clean the people are really nice they're not really equipped to take care of our relative because she was confined to a wheelchair and had dementia

The activities started at a 10 went to a 3 after they ran [name removed] off. They went through a period of about 6 months in which they ran off almost every single decent caregiver. I couldn't even learn the names before they quit or were fired. Lot's of turnover for a while.

We've had LOTS of stress with her medication not being administered the way it's prescribed. But there are some very nice people there. We appreciate [name removed], and some of the nurses, but they are constantly changing which has added to the stress. We are grateful it is possible for [name removed] to be there right now though, and I don't want to just be negative. There are very friendly nurses there, and we appreciate that. She has a very nice room to be in and we appreciate that. It is a very nice place.

The facility is nice, things seem well cared for. The apartment is sized well and well designed. But there seems to be a lack of community-building activities, which would be a valuable experience for a lady pretty much on her own. My mother in law spends a lot of effort complaining about the food provided and we aren't sure how valid her complaints are. The staff that we have encountered seem very responsive and pleasant.

The food started off really good and the chef left it hasn't been the same. The staff and room size are both great.

I will say I had a great experience with sales up until the decision was made to stay there. After that my parents felt they were on their own to figure things out. They moved in on a weekend and were given minimal direction and were told someone would reach out to them on Monday which never happened. I just expected more hospitality from staff since this was their first experience and for the amount of money they pay for the two of them to stay in independent living.

1. There were plenty of activities for residents. However, activities director/planners could have been more enthusiastic about the activities, or at least on the couple that Mom got to participate in. Those were limited though because of her situation, so I could be missing the big picture. 2. Coordination between facility and hospice provider for care. Took way too long to get medications ordered and coordinated, not sure if facility fault or hospice fault, but slow on correcting situation. Especially in hospice situation. But daily staff were caring and attentive!

The facility is fantastic. The views are unbelievable. The staff is very attentive. Our only hiccup was that we thought there were some things that we could take advantage of when we signed up my mother-in-law - and one was that they said they could get it notary because she was wanting to do a new will, and that never developed. There was a mixup about where her automatic deposit was to come out of. Then there were mix ups with her prescriptions - and just some hiccups OK. Overall, we are super happy with where she is.

You meet many very special people at Harmony and given the opportunity to participate in a variety of enjoyable activities. However, they permit residents to enter independent living that should be in assisted living (at a minimum ) and this creates concerns for the other caring independent residents. We look forward to our meals, but many times are very disappointed . The dining room is under staffed which creates unnecessary friction during our meal at times. Maintenance and housekeeping staff are very friendly, helpful and most know your name.

Good, but dining is the worst. No change of much from week to week. Vegetables are always over cooked. My room has it been cleaned for more than 3 weeks -- I believe because the trio cleaning will not admit to taking more than they should thinking it was garbage. I'm also waiting for trees to be trimmed so I can actually see outside and not have to sweep the balcony every day. Also, things appear on the schedule but they never take place. Residents have come forward because the staff hasn't.

The food was poor and there was not enough each night. Staff overall was friendly. Activities were inconsistent and facilities staff was not competent.

The place was clean and the room was nice. The staff was minimal and the food was served cool most of the time. Needed more staff.

Harmony was well run and clean when my parents moved in. The had their place cleaned regularly. But over the last several months they were there, the place became dirtier and lacked maintenance. The cleaning crew lied about cleaning my parent's apartment and it became filthy. I moved my parents out in April. The communication about activities is almost non existent. Whenever my mother would try to join an activity, she would find it had been moved or postponed without notice.

Very short-staffed. Very poor after hours care. Paid for memory care in July and didn't receive any.
