I don't think they have enough staff to support the needs there. The nurses seemed overworked and unhappy. They tried really hard so it is heartbreaking. Mom did not like the food at all. She will be moving out because she's just unhappy with the whole experience.

Cleanliness - Fair in common areas but poor in my loved one's apartment. Quality of care is just fair. Couldn't get my dad to do ANYTHING for activities. Cost for value - Fair... for what we paid, the apartment could have at least been cleaned and trash taken out. I did these things myself most of the time

It would be nice if they didn't lose all of my moms laundry. She is constantly not getting pants back and last time they lost all of her bedding also.

Can improve on several things: 1) hire more people especially wait type people and people for running activities; 2) Quit serving lukewarm meals and get some normal down to earth recipes; 3) interview people from time to time to see what they need or want; 4) really think the cost could be reduced for what we get.

Please keep in mind that we moved out in 2023. They have a new chef now so food may have improved. We were lucky to get our apt cleaned 1-2 times a month due to lack of housekeepers. They paid them a very low wage. I don't know if they have more housekeepers now.

Meals/dining are getting a little better. Activities are much better, but mom is just not able to anymore. There have been many leadership changes but they are moving in the right direction.

At the time of my mother, staying there initially there was enough staff for care of the patients in her meals were fine, and so was the daily activities due to the number of patients in her ward. As time went on staffing became a issue to wear supervising. The patients became an issue in her care became an issue. Since that time I have not returned to review this facilities since she left because I moved my mother to another care facility that could give her the attention in care that she needed for her health conditions and limitations. I have since found out that where my mother was staying in the ward to address her care and concerns there has been a dramatic price increase for Care, but I have not physically gone back and seen the facility or its staff. If someone asked me for referral, I would have to say that they would need to physically invisibly visit the place on different hours to ensure that their parent or loved one would be receiving the care that they state would be provided. With saying that with the shortcomings of staff availability, staff members were cordial professional, and we're doing the most that they could do even though they were understaffed for that ward

This is a new facility that has been unable to recruit residents. It is costly and the area is over build with three facilities within a mile of each other. One is at capacity and two need a host of residents. Two are bleeding profit loss and are taking many wheelchair bound residents that are actually skilled nursing home residents. There will be a [fee removed] a month fee increase in January even when the services promised are not yet being delivered by the staff. Residents laundry is not being done by the staff. Transportation services are listed as a courtesy not a service we have paid for. The bus is seldom moved. Restaurants are not available to the residents. Fast food restaurants are what is available presently. Cost is about [fee removed]. Average without special needs . You pay an addition [fee removed]to get the staff med techs to bring your medications to you. The pharmacy charges about [fee removed] to set up my medications monthly. There have been omissions of my medications and there have been errors in giving me medications that has caused me to be hospitalized.

My family picked it for me. They said it was the best for the money and it has a full kitchen. The numbers are low, but I am happy here. The numbers are taken from things I hear not my own experiences.

Harmony is poorly run, there has been a lot of staff turnover. From the day she moved in we were disappointed (her apartment was not painted and was not very clean ). The billing /invoices were ridiculously confusing. The quality of food has dropped significantly not to mention sometimes lunch takes 2 hours because they are understaffed. They only provide transportation to doctors appointments on Monday and Wednesdays now instead of every day.

The facility is beautiful and very bright and cheerful. They are still so new so not really organized both with communication and availability. Response time is not up to speed and we are not presented with enough information on who does what and when. They are working very hard to create an atmosphere that works for everyone. It's just one of those things. I think that takes a little time .For those of us that have no experience in this area, we just need them to be a little more polished and advising us about procedures, etc.

I picked this community, because of the the age of building was effecting various daily necessities including hot water heat air conditioning when looking to move wanted newer facility with fully and constantly working utilities more room Have 1 bedroom apartment with full kitchen includes over And dishwasher full bathroom with shower washer and dryer ( full size) living dining room also a balcony. The cost here is a little least than before with more personal space better food and more open areas for gathering.

So my issue is they rarely answered their phone and did not return calls. Also when my uncle needed a catheter we had to move him to a [community removed]. When he was released from the hospital Harmony turned him away at 7pm at night forcing a return to the hospital which then transport was not covered or his stay in the hospital. Truly I would not give them a glowing rating.

Under staffed with techs. The Director of Nursing told us the first week of June that I would have to move my husband because he required too much care. I tried to talk to her repeatedly to discuss what I could do to change situation. He is a Parkinson's pt with incontinence issues. I never got a reply from her in an email or phone call. Her name was [name removed].

The activities have no variety especially for independent living. Wine and cheese 3 times a week. Very little human interaction everything is virtual. The person doesn't take suggestions and says she is not from the area. The new member forum was zero. She is never around in late afternoon not on weekends. Very little is planned for weekend. That Chronicle and agenda that comes out daily is a waste of paper and does not say anything with substance. Does not reflect the local news. Most of us are from somewhere else would like to know more about Delaware. When the group goes to the grocery store Walmart and Food Lion she does not give adequate time to shop, as a matter of fact some people have been left at the store. There is no organization or training. There should be static on every activity. If an activity is scheduled and no one shows up, why?? Discussion groups are scheduled for women and men with no topic to discuss. Trivia with 200 year questions. The Arts and Crafts and movies that people like have only been twice since have been here, have only been scheduled 2 times, in 3 months rather than once a week. People are leaving because we are not getting what we were promised. The best feature of the place after living here are the apartments. The Bistro is a good idea but needs to be monitored closely or snacks and drinks need monitored. People come fill their thermoses and coffee pots and leave nothing for others. The director sits and plays games on her phone rather than try to work with residents on activities. The council is a joke all we hear is something we have to live with, nothing is ever resolved so now people stopped coming. The appearance of the lobby and dining room looks 5 star but that is farce, I love my apartment and the appearance but other things need improving. People from assisted living are coming to IL dining room taking our tables and some us have not seat and they sometimes run out if food. No one says anything. They have their dining room and eats 30 minutes before us. No one is in charge of anything. I cannot afford to move nor do I want to. Just give what I was promised. When people are hired they need training working with different levels of seniors, cultures and backgrounds. I see why these facilities get a bad reputation. There are people who may be visual and hearing impaired but may not look like it. They may take longer to read the menu. The activity people needs training and experience working with populations and nothing everyone has dementia. We are mostly intelligent but older. Learn to deal with all kinds of people. The front desk person keeps her head down however we are told to go to the concierge but she knows nothing or pretends she knows nothing. There should be a person available on weekends in case in emergency. Rather than be told to go to your neighbor to use the bathroom. Told to go to your neighbors whom you don't know to take a shower. Ridiculous Someone found someone taking a shower in their apartment. Danger. One person had diarrhea and the toilet would not flush on Friday and told to wait until Monday. There is no one around to take care of emergencies at any time. The members are on their on for these issues. Everyone disappears 3 days at. a time. This is a large facility with no management.

The general staff is friendly, but the management staff not so much. They are friendly when you can get in touch with someone, but when you have to leave messages no one returns calls. general staff. The food can be too "salty" too "fancy"

It's been a mix. I have been a little disappointed in hygiene care for my mom. I went into her room on several occasions to no toilet paper in the bathroom and hard toothpaste on the brush... indicating no one is helping her brush. She begs me to take her home (although I've heard this happens a lot:(. It's the best care I can get for the lowest amount of money. I'd much rather have her closer to me so I could visit more, but that means an extra [fee removed] I thought about moving her to a more expensive place (which means her money runs out much sooner) but I signed a year contract and there is also "activity fees" of [fee removed] on these places, so I will reevaluate in March.

My whole family really liked this apartment complex right from the beginning. Unfortunately, a few things have changed throughout this past year, but for right now, we aren't going anywhere, Mom still loves it here! About two months ago, there had been a horrible fight inside the front doors that had led to a tragic death outside of them, on the parking lot. The staff here has always been friendly, but there are always a few bad apples anywhere, and it is not any different here. Our loved one, lives on the independent living floor along with many neighbors. Now, one issue we have is that if our loved one falls, the staff can not help pick her up, and before moving in, I was under the impression they could help to get her up so I didn't need to call for an ambulance. The dining room is beautiful, but in the past, the staff and the food have also been another issue. I just hope they can keep the good employees they have now because they have had some that were extremely rude. It seems like the food is getting better now, and I hope it stays this way because in the past, some meals have been very unusual, served cold, or they had even completely ran out. When it comes to activities, there is plenty to keep our loved ones active. They offer physical therapy, they have bingo, there are crafts and movies, and they even have a beautician available to get her hair done. Value for the cost to live here, I'd say it's fair. However, they just had an increase in rent and several other things to. Right now, it's high to live everywhere, so maybe it's on average?

The staff could stop taking away her TV remote. Letting her have her inhaler on her person. A couple of nurses could use an attitude adjustment.

I had to stay on them to get my wife mattresses off the floor and onto mattresses rails. The room was dirty walking in. I would no recommend them for respite care.
