Harmony Senior Services

It is a really nice community, almost brand new. The only thing I don't like about it is the food. The service is good, they have all sorts of medical technicians and such as the like. They do the medications well. While in COVID, we haven't been able to participate or use any of the activities.

I would want others to know when looking into Harmony at Chantilly that the staff is very friendly. They have also been very responsive if there are ever any issues. Seeing my mother in law happy here has really been the best part for us so far. Their independent living facilities have really good sizes kitchens, so if you are someone who is moving from a home but still like to cook, this is perfect for you. One of the issues we had was that they say they have a shuttle service for doctors appointments, you have to work within certain perimeters with them because they only go to certain places certain days. She has an apartment in the independent living section. We were trying to move her to assisted living and it was very hard to get in touch with the proper people and it took longer than it should have. She also complained a lot about the food, she said things like it was overcooked. They do have a very nice dining area. It is a great place to have your elder parent for socialization purposes. They encourage that a lot at this facility.

When we first visited Harmony we really liked the overall look, it seemed very pleasant and was very clean. The room at this community are nice, and about average in size. The food is okay. We would recommend this community to a family or friend but with reservations. The communication really lacked, a lot of the times someone would not pick up the phone or we would not get call backs.

What we really liked about this community was the location, it was right next to everything our loved one was familiar with which was very important to him. Our loved one is in independent living so he doesn't really need the care services that are offered. He really enjoyed the activities, but due to COVID they have shut down mostly everything. However before COVID they would take bus tours around town, and every Thursday they would go out to eat to a different restaurant. He loved to play bingo, card games. This community would have special cook outs for holidays especially Veterans Day. He has a very nice apartment. We love everything about this community, we would recommend it to anyone.

We chose this facility because it was close to where her doctor is and they had a van service to take her to and from. The room size my cousin has is nice, she has one of the largest one bedrooms. They have upped the rent because of the virus which is one downfall I have just found out about. The residents do not have any control over the virus, but the rent is going to stay like this until the virus is over which no one knows when that will be.

The food at Harmony has been good from what we have heard. The rooms provided are very spacious. One thing that really stood out to us was the openness this community had.

This community is inviting when you walk in. The room sizes are good, we live in a 2 bedroom apartment. We are satisfied with room that we have. The food was excellent when we first got here, right now, it has declined because they have changed chefs. We are on the intersection of hospitals, fire departments, and police stations, so there are a lot of sirens that you hear. I would recommend Harmony at Independence Virginia.

The staff are very caring. The food is good. I like the layout, my mom has an inside window facing the courtyard. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with Facetime and accepting drop offs. They have been great. I work at a hospital so if she was still living with me I would not be able to come home. I am so glad she is there.

It is hard now with things quarantined for the virus but they did have movies, games and transportation to shopping. The rooms are bigger than other places I looked at. The food is good. It was better when they were serving in the dining room. It is a good place. The location was important for me since it is close to where I used to live so friends can visit easily.

Feels like a hotel that has apartments with medical staff. Clean. Very nice apartments.

Nice facility with good floor plans. Due to the site location you can only make right turns into and out of the parking lot. If you are looking for a place for a senior that still drives this may not be the location. Otherwise, very nice.

I selfishly like the proximity for me! We saw two models for One Bedroom units: one with a bedroom extremely large and the other that fit a twin bed comfortably. Again, a full kitchen and one meal in the dining room is an issue as my mother does not want to cook.

The staff is very helpful and personable.

Completed a tour today. Impressive place very new, clean. Best part was that the resident furnished their own place. Each room is like their very own apartment. Essential for memory care furnishing their own apartment with their own bed, dresser, etc from home making it a familiar setting. Cost is equivalent to most facilities along with the amenities provided.

The staff for the most part are superlative, though of late I have noticed an enhanced amount of turnover among senior level positions that makes the mind wonder why. Issues do arise that need to be addressed, but the staff has always made a great effort to eradicate them. They are very friendly and genuinely caring. I would, if I could have, given the facility a 4.5 in the rating scale. The only thing that keeps me from giving a 5 star rating is that some of my phone calls to more than one key director weren't returned timely, if at all....perhaps just an oversight, but unsettling nonetheless. Communication regarding lower level staff has been top-notch....the nurses, firsthand caregivers, etc. It also would have been preferable if they didn't have a required entrance fee to place a loved one there. Many facilities do not. All in all, I am satisfied with my choice of The Crossings at Ironbridge for my loved one.

The Crossings at Iron Bridge was very clean and modern looking. The staff seemed friendly and the residents seemed engaged in the observed activities. [Name removed] was very relatable and seemed empathetic toward our families situation. The day I visited, they were having a bake sale. They had a very nice private outdoor area and courtyard area. I can only give a 4 star rating based on a visit, not residence

This is a relatively new facility. Everything was clean and provided up-scale services as you would expect from a hotel. The view over parking lots was a turn-off.

In Fredericksburg, this is in my top two properties. My tour was very nice and informative. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I like the property. It was clean and everyone seemed to enjoy either working or living there.

Very nice, new and clean..the administrator gave a good, detailed tour with valuable information and was able to answer all of our questions adequately. They have no openings at this time and have a waiting list with three on it already. We’d definitely consider The Crossings if they had a vacancy.
