It is really a little too early to create a detailed review, my mom is there only a couple weeks, but overall I am pleased with her care & what is happening for her @ Harbor Chase.

My Mom just finished her 1st week, so it is impossible for me to give it them a higher score. But so far, I am happy with how my Mom is being treated & being cared for.

I am very happy in this facility.It was my choice to come here and had no trouble making the move from Missouri to Branford. I love the social gatherings and the opportunity to meet so many new people.Activities are interesting and there are wide variety .Overall gardenside provides a comfortable caring atmosphere.I would have no problem recommending gardenside to someone looking for a "new home"

I toured here as I was looking for options. I really liked it, it was a nice place in a good price range. Unfortunately we needed a higher level of care than they were able to provide. We had a very nice tour here though.

HarborChase is a brand new community, and the facility itself is beautiful. It's very clean, everything is new, and the aide staff does a great job keeping things well kept. The aide staff is friendly and caring, but I do think they seem a bit understaffed. However, we have had some issues with the administrative staff. There's been some staff turnover recently which has made things difficult, and I've also had some billing issues that were a hassle to get corrected. It seems like a very nice place overall, but I would keep an eye on your bills until they get their management staff settled in.

It was a hard adjustment for my loved one moving into the HarborChase place and I do not feel like everyone made it easy for her and they did not really welcome her. However, it has gotten better since she has been there.

The assisted living part was very nice along with all the staff but the memory care unit was not so great. There were no nice decorations and the people seemed to just be sitting in wheelchairs hanging their heads.

HarborChase of Coral Springs seems like a nice place overall, but it wasn't the best fit for my loved one. The facility itself is very pleasant, it is clean and well kept and has a high class fancy atmosphere, but it was just too big a facility for my loved one to get the attention she needed. The administrative staff were all very friendly and tried their best to accommodate us. We did, however, have some issues with some of the care staff not being polite to my loved one.

We like the location, it is close to our family as well as the newness of the community. It is beautifully decorated, very clean and the staff members are friendly. However they could make some improvements with their leadership team, it was quite dysfunctional from the get go from the initial move in, to the billing department, to their maintenance team. They have also had a lot of turnover rates.

We chose HarborChase because we were looking when covid was in full swing. There were only a limited amount of places that let us tour in person. Of the handful of places we were able to tour, the interior of the facility was prettier than the others we looked at and they also gave us the best price. The sales person was quite awesome and was great with following up with us. Since being there, we have had mixed results. The food here is not good, based off of what she has said sometimes they bring you things that are not cooked properly. I have talked to some other residents while visiting and they say the same things. I would tell others to be weary when your tour, if one of the residents approaches you and talks to you about how wonderful it is, we found out later that it was staged.

We chose Harbor Chase mainly because the aesthetics of it. When you walk in it feels more like a hotel rather than a facility.It was a nice bigger apartment space. They had a first class chef and the meals were very good. They have still managed to keep some activities going even with the circumstances. Before the lock-down, they did have a lot of activities to offer. As a family member I have not gotten a lot of communication from them, you have to call in order to get information from them, but I do know they have their hands full. My mom has gotten the care that she needs and the nursing staff has been good at staying on top of things. Overall, she is happy with Habor Chase of Naperville.

My mom went from a rehab facility to the Hearth on [date removed], the day that it was announced that no visitors could enter the building and residents would be quarantined due to Covid 19. It’s been very hard not to see first hand how my mother has been doing and very hard for her to be dropped off in a strange place without being able to visit family and friends. Overall, it has been a positive experience. My mother seems well taken care of and from what I can see the staff is kind and friendly. There have been some staff, particularly [name removed], who has gone above and beyond for my mother. I do feel communication is spotty. I have written some emails and left calls to the new director that have gone unanswered. I do think the director is trying hard to provide activities for the staff and has recently hired an activities director which I appreciate. I also sincerely appreciate that they have kept my mom safe during this pandemic. Given that for many family members this is a difficult time, not being able to come in to visit our loved ones or to bring them home, I think that there needs to be more consistent communication.

It's too hard to review at this point as my brother was hardly in for a few weeks before he was sheltered in place with the rest of the residents in their respective rooms. Before the lockdown my brother was starting to like it and integrate.

My uncle has been in memory care since April it was a very difficult decision as I live in another state I feel comfortable as I can under these circumstances I feel the staff have been very supportive and show their concern for his care The only issue I have has been a lack of communication from upper staff but when he was going through a very difficult situation they certainly stepped up and they were right there to bring the situation to an amicable solution on behalf of him

My father is currently in memory care. He is borderline and could do okay in assist living where occasional help is offered. The facility is new, clean and comforting. Food is generally okay as well. Because he is still cognizant, more interactive outside activities would be enjoyable. It was just a few months ago that he was attending Rays games with a group. HC needs to be able no accommodate his participation in assisted living off site activities.

I looked at many places before I got in touch with a place for mom. They gave me a few places to check out. I had already been to most but I took a chance on going to Harbor Chase and was happy I did. After I received all the particulars and it was one price instead of al a carte. Very clean, very friendly and very upbeat. I then had my daughter and mom come for a visit. My mom needs 24 hr and she gets that. The food is excellent. I've had lunch with my mom and so has my daughter. Excellent! My mom loves the food and is still getting her bearings but no complaints. This is a hard decision to make for anyone but you will not be disappointed.
