The staff that I have met seemed extremely friendly, but my mother might disagree. It seems expensive to me, although I don't know what the rest of the places charge. They charge for every little thing - things that I think should be included. They are charging a $7 tray fee to bring her food to her room for every single meal! My mother doesn't like having to self-propel herself to the dining room, and she feels like they are discriminating against her because she is so heavy that they don't want to push her around. She doesn't participate in anything; she wants to be in her room, so I can't really rate the activities. We visited Emeritus first, and after visiting another community, we decided on Emeritus because it seemed more up to date.

Food could be a lot better, might improve next week with new food manager. Can't ride their bus with a power chai r of any sort ; had I knowen this, I wouldn't have come, but they picked me up and my scooter for the tour. They do have a nice staff, and will try to help you what ever the problem.

This was the same as Savannah Court, I just thought the people weren't as professional here, I would say their follow up wasn't as good either.

Wynwood was a much larger home. Very friendly staff and residents. However my mother felt overwhelmed by size.

There is not enough Spanish speaking staff, so will be moving aunt. My aunt is high functional needs less care, feel misled that high functional would be included in activities. Activities are not setup for high functional people. Everything is good and would recommend it but I wish they had more Spanish speaking staff. More activities for high function would make it much better. The food is good but could be better, it’s just too bland. It’s a very small area for memory care, would like to see more space for memory care area so they can walk around.

It is a beautiful and clean facility. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The price is good. Location is great. resident to RA ratio is 8 to 1 The room is very small. The bathroom sink is not wheelchair accessible. It appears that she would need to keep her room locked or much of her stuff would need to be locked up (in the laundry areal) to keep wandering residents from taking and/or harming themselves with any solids or liquids. I am not sure that her acuity level is a good match for the facility.

Possible "Entry fee donation" The people were complaning about the quality of the food.

I have been in touch with the Director. Lighthouse Senior Living is in the same place as the old Rose Manor which had a terrible reputation. She has assured me that they did not hire any of Rose Manor's staff. My parents are reluctant about this place for the reason of the bad reputation of the former place.

I visited last Thurs, 1/27. It was nice but alittle too small for what we are looking for especially the apartments.

Visited here and took a full tour. Would be great for him to live

I toured Aldea Green and I found it to be average, it was okay. I had seen this place before because it's close to where I lived. The preschool I worked with would come by and do Christmas caroling for their residents. The rooms were smaller and the cost was more expensive because you can't be independent. The cook came out and expressed that they are very concerned about how you eat. They kept going on about food, food, food. They made us a little cake, which was nice. My sister said it was delicious, I couldn't eat it as I was on a liquid diet during that time. They had a group thing with a bunch of women having a wine social. I can't drink wine, but I thought that was great. The lady giving the tour had to excuse herself for a minute, and at that moment my sister went out to bring the car around. While they were gone I asked one of the residents how she liked the place. She replied, "I hate it here, what do you think?" Another one said, "My family put me here." I don't really know about this place, it was just kind of average. It was okay, just not my cup of tea. When I went on my tours, I asked questions about their evacuation plan in the event of a hurricane or bad weather. The lady replied that they've never had a flood - which was a lie. I know that that street floods very bad. They may not have had to evacuate, but it does flood. I'm very familiar with and have lived in that area, so I'm aware of how it can get. The community was clean, but not super clean. There was a resident who said she was hungry during our tour and the lady said, "Ok we will get you something to eat after this tour". In my personal opinion, I would have rather waited while they got her something. They did assure her, but my preference would have been to get her a snack first before showing me around. But, maybe there are reasons I don't understand like dietary restrictions

My loved one was only at this community for a short period of time but while he was there we where not very impressed with how things went for him. There is no activities that go on throughout the day and the few that they have are nothing interesting. He was just sitting around all day doing nothing and I was not happy about that. I ended up pulling him out of there shortly after we moved him in.

A depressing place to be. Or, maybe, I was premature in site selection. We're only in our 70s, you see, and found the atmosphere more than a trifle stifling. Too many questions (11 pages in one "little questionnaire" that was not presented during the "sign-in" phase. It was an unfounded invasion of privacy, to my mind, and went un-answered. Be sure of your timing before entering any of these places. Being premature can get costly. Billing practices are a trifle "iffy", too. Good grub, though.

great facility and staff....Unfortunately, I was not told that they test daily for legionella, as in legionnaires disease. This is hidden from the residents and families. This is why you never see staff drinking the water. The management team of Sage is harsh and bully the staff. They manage by fear. The floor staff is great.

The only reason this facility is getting 2 stars is because of the pretty building and the wonderful Concierges. Problems with Longleaf Liberty Park... Breach of /Agreement/Contract, Damages to personal property, retaliation, mismanaged meds on 2 occassions that I'm aware of and promises not kept. I moved my mother out of this facility and paid rent to fulfill the 30 day agreement. I specifically told them my plans and not to do anything with the remaining personal items before the agreement date ended as it would take me some time to move her. Well, the staff didn't get wind of that and damages occurred, and I was not compensated because [name removed] devalued my mother's belongings. The time together that my mom and I spent buying decorations and decorating her Christmas tree is sad for me. My mother loved that tree. I was asked the value and it was not accepted by [name removed]. I guess he knows best. So here I am today with NOTHING. No tree, sadness and no money to replace it. When filing complaints,

If you’re looking for a facility that genuinely provides assisted living, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. My grandmother lived here for a period of time, and I had a security camera installed in her room due to a traumatic experience at a previous facility. What I observed was extremely disheartening and deeply concerning—not based on hearsay or memory, but on actual recorded evidence. Approximately half of the staff showed a clear lack of compassion and professionalism. Even more disappointing was that this attitude extended to some administrators as well. My grandmother was often treated like a burden for asking for help—whether it was requesting her prescribed inhaler or reporting burning pain during urination. Instead of receiving care, she was made to feel guilty or “needy” for expressing serious health concerns. On more than one occasion, she was threatened by staff that if she continued calling for help, she’d be left out in the dining room so they wouldn't have to

We had a problem when mom fell and had to go to hospital and rehab. After that with no warning they declined taking her back. We had to find another Alf for her. Be very thorough during the contacting phase. Be sure you are aware that they have a 13 minute rule that a patient has to be able to exit the building. Also understand what criteria they use to determine "not fit for ALF". Also ensure you understand what activities are being included in the extra service fee

Don’t let the prestigious “Chagrin Falls” address fool you into thinking this is any kind of an upscale facility. In many ways I found it to deliver substandard care, mostly due to the utter laziness of the care staff. I had to hire outside staff to come in to due things that fell into what the facility was supposed to be doing. Mother left wet and uncared for often, primarily due to laziness of care staff coupled with poor care plan by facility. Promises to improve by department supervisors and director unmet. They do provide plenty of food, however institutionalized and usually cold on delivery. CHICKEN, CHICKEN, CHICKEN!!! Serious lack of parking at entrance. Been told employees not permitted to park there but not enforced. Witness staff playing on cell phones often despite no need to use for job. Experienced rough handling by staff, resulting in bruising and traumatizing of resident. Staff not held responsible for serious oversights in base care. No complaint system in place. MORE!
