Just make sure you get everything in writing as they promised one thing and tried to change to another price. If I didn't have it written down it would have been a huge problem. Tt's not the worst but still not the best. They put my mother in a shared room and the other woman had 2/3 of the room and wouldn't move her stuff over enough and they didn't make her. Although they didn't even agree to what the sales guy promised even when I produced it in writing. All those places are the same. They paint a perfect picture all rosy till you get your lives one signed in then the truth comes out

Positive: New facility, lovely décor Fun programs & have excellent visiting entertainers. Negative: Insufficient info for move-in & orientation. Residents and families have to feel their way through the process. Resident to caregiver ratio often seems to be inadequate, particularly for those residents needing extra attention. Management does not seem to take family concerns seriously. Housekeeping is not up to par.

This was based on our experience in the memory care side. Can't speak to AL side. Physical space was not good but memory care staff was terrific. For memory care, yes we would recommend this community to other families - if [name removed] is still there

Difficulty communicating when another sibling is involved. Request for documents not honored. I would not recommend them. I don't appreciate being dismissed by those in charge. My requests for documentation of Mom's residence at the facility have not been completed. The staff are kind and caring.Nurses seem competent.It's really mostly management and their lack of concern for my concerns.Mom lost her medalert and they don't seem to care.

The nursing staff has no accountability to anything and does not take any responsibility to anything. In two months have I have received 3 calls telling me they were totally out of a medication. There is no inventory of meds and no set points to reordering. The nurses just passes out the meds and does not worry about what in inventory or reordering. The pharmacy sets when a person gets the meds even with doctor orders the nurses will not give the meds at correct times. This resulted in uncontrolled blood pressure. The facility is being paid to manage medications and doesn't and seam to not care. They are supposed to be getting meds from their pharmacy but always calling me and I have to jump through loops to get the medication. Talking to the director helps a little but there is no management of those nurses.

On the meals, I can't rate this because I've never seen or eaten It came down to two facilities. High Point and [community name removed]. Both were comparably priced and both were fairly new facilities. We were leaning a little bit toward [community name removed] when, upon finding out we had narrowed it down to two, their sales person badmouthed High Point. On the other hand, when I asked High Point, what they thought about [community name removed], they said "While we would like you to be a part of our family, either choice is an exceptional facility and your father (in-law)will be happy. "there. That said, my father-in-law is well fed and he seems to think the food is just fine.

Food is definitely one of Red Cedar Glens weakest qualities. I think they need better cooks and better management. The supervision in all of the above listed categories is lacking. I think they could do better.

There have been several appeals for contributions for Christmas bonuses and a food bank for the employees, use of families streaming subscriptions for football games. Plus, during the first Covid outbreak in the facility, they requested family members come sit with their infected resident to prevent falls. I would not be surprised to learn that they are having financial difficulties.

I would say extremely expensive and food is terrible.

The care, and especially value, I see no issues with. You can do a lot worse for similar price. Communication from administrative staff could be much more proactive.

Let me preface my comments with the fact that this was during covid and they lost a housekeeper and were short handed. The nursing staff was very attentive and kept us informed. I understand it is hard to get good help for any position these days and care facilities even harder.

At the present time the way they are accepting residents, I would not recommend. I'm an optimist and looking forward for improvements. The chairs need to be replaced in the dining room, and the public restrooms are not kept clean. It was built for independent living, but it being used as an Assisted Living/Memory Care. The E-Menu is not always updated and the meals are not "fine dining." They tend to be low quality and often run out of things. There is not enough wait staff for the amount of residents.

My mom was in the memory care area and they definitely didn't have enough nurses to handle the area. They had aides but the aides really didn't do much that I could see. The people were very nice but my mom had issues with her medication so I would say an in-depth meeting with family to go over medication before admission would be #1 on the need to work on list.

Medication is a serious issue for an elderly person. So if you need that care the no do not pick the oaks. If you don't need medication distribution then it's a nice place. We needed an a place that had an opening and close to our home.

I would recommend it for someone else I think overall, they do a good job of providing activities and engagement with the residence as well as treat them and cater to their specific dietary needs, and they treat them well and definitely foster independence. I picked this place because they offered my mom a shared room price with warm up time minimum a month to be alone and get acclimated to get acclimated before even considering putting a Roomate with her. Having a roommate was the ultimate decision was based on price and proximity to my house.

Crescent Wood is a quiet facility with polite staff. Large Price increases were not expected. I think I would recommend them

Red Cedar Glen is a good place. For us, it is convenient to where I live, so I can remain close.

The Food is terrible I could go on for hours with everything that is wrong with this!

The whole staff is so sweet! They are respectful to the residents. This means the most to us, we totally understand how difficult older folks can be. Love the events that are planned! The daily activities are great to keep the residents busy. Love the fact that they can have pets! The location and grounds are perfect. There is definitely room for improvement on the dining room... I know we filled out dietary needs when our loved one came, but, I don't see that reflected in her meals. We often have to provide her meals.

My mom currently resides at Lark Springs. For the money, it seems to be still quite expensive for what they provide, in my opinion. All categories could use improvement. There's been a couple of times where I visited my mom and her room was not cleaned. The food appears to be sub par, but edible. There seems to be no activities that I've seen thus far. Friendliness for the most part, the staff has been okay but there have been times where the staff appear to be grumpy or upset, and I've also noticed a high turnover rate of employees. I am still in the dark about the level of care that they provide. To be fair, it does appear that my mom is comfortable and enjoys being at the facility, so that's a plus and that's why she's still there.
