So far we have no complaints.

So far we have no complaints. It seems like the right place for. She is not happy that there is only one entree, plus a variety of sandwiches. But I have never had any complaints about the quality of the food. Perhaps just a little more variety, and choice at meals would be a nice addition. Other than that, everything is working out pretty well.

We liked it, but it was too expensive.

We toured here when we were looking for options. We liked it, it was nice. The base price was exactly that though a BASE price. It was extra for each thing, and then a level of care on top of that. It was just too expensive we were looking for something more all inclusive.

Management was very responsive and involved.

We are no longer there, it wasn't the best fit. However I still have positive things to say. Management was very responsive and involved. It was clean, I didn't really have any concerns. We weren't there long enough to give a five.

My 88 yr old mother has lived there for 2 yrs. She is very happy and content except for the food and not enough elevators and they tend to break down often. I know she's taken care of. She gets physical therapy, doctor on premisses 3 days a week, many activites. Her aids are wonderful and caring. Its affordable. She can't afford $3000 and up facilities. This is affordable and clean.

Review of Concord Place in Northlake, IL

Concord Place is a 16 story ex-hotel turned into a senior living facility. Surrounded by highways, railroads, no other highrises makes it's location unique. All aspects of senior care are offered here, seemingly with care and love. All services including exceptional food and dining are offered. Truly exceptional in this area for the elderly.

They do a pretty good job.

They do a pretty good job. The staff is friendly, and it's pretty clean. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are kind of boring here. The food I would say is probably a four, but the service sometimes isn't that great. You will sit sometimes for 10-15 minutes and servers will walk by and not ask what we need. They have a very bad bus, it's small and only takes like 3 wheelchairs, and there are three hundred people here. You have to be first in line, and the bus breaks down a lot, they need a bigger better bus. Overall it's a nice place.

Concord Place - a value option

Concord place is a good value option. They are much cheaper than other facilities - $1500/month rather than $2500/month. They can manage being cheaper because they have more people there. The downside of this is that they may be a little less efficient about getting small issues addressed (e.g. takes a while to get things fixed in the room, the front desk staff does not take messages for residents, mailed packages are not promptly delivered, there is almost always a wait for the elevators, etc). The staff is very friendly & helpful for the most part. Most of the residents are also friendly & nice. A few are crabby & rude, but this is probably the case everywhere. You can add additional services as needed, which helps to keep the general cost down.

My experience with Waterford Estates ...

My experience with Waterford Estates has been good. The staff there is very friendly, caring, and professional. They do a good job keeping my wife and I informed of things going on with my father. They are also responsive when we call. The food is very food, and they are accommodating by providing food to the residents if they are unable to make meal time, or if they have eating issues, and need the food cut up in smaller pieces.

Good staff, dining area needs improvement.

The community is kept very clean, and the staff is friendly. The food is not that great, it's not the best, and the dining staff aren't the friendliest. There isn't a huge variety, and it seems overcooked and dry. The waitstaff doesn't go out of their way to be nice. We like the rooms, they are pretty nice.

Great place for assisted living

Victory Centre's location, services and staff have fit our Mother's needs exceptionally well. While it is assisted living, she can still maintain her independence and take advantage of the many activities run by Victory and run by the residents themselves. Highly recommended for anyone needing this type of care.

A Short but Sweet stay

My Dad had a 12 day stay in one of three respite rooms. He received adequate 24hr. care while he and my mother thoroughly enjoyed 3 delicious meals a day in their elegant restaurant reminiscent of a vacation lodge. The therapy Dad received from Dave was perfect for his needs.

A great place to really experiment with your happy.

The place is really good, and you can be very happy here if you make something out of it for yourself. There are plenty of activities and they are are a great place to really experiment with your happy, if you do art, take pictures, or explore music. You have to want to experiment and do things. I was a little bit nervous at first and it's awesome. The maintenance people will even brush your car off. The value is incredible. I only have to pay for phone and cable. It's different for different incomes, they work with you. Once a week they come and do some housekeeping. They have a swimming pool. If you have two or more people you can go in the pool anytime, they had a spelling bee, they do brain teasers, and puzzles to do on the mezzanine floor. They have two main entrees every meal, and salads and hamburgers cheesburgers, spaghetti, if you don't like what they are making for the main meal, you can have something else. The rooms are kind of like a college dorm. The only thing I would like to see better is if somebody would take care of the older people who say there is nothing to do.

Good Experience

My mother, she stayed there but she didn't end up staying there permanently. She moved back home because she was just doing a trial period and she decided that she would rather live at home. We chose it for the trial period because we liked the environment, the structure of the building, her apartment, and the pool to swim. Where she was the laundry room was close by and she was on the first floor she didn't have to go up and down stairs or anything. They were very welcoming and friendly and supportive of mom. They were trying to include her whenever there were activities. It was good.
