Overall, I feel there's a pretty high level of competency from what I can tell. I think that as the world opens up, Victory Centre will open up as well. They'll be able to schedule activities off campus. It's a nice location in the Oak Park area , with a vet across the street for her dog. Overall I'm pretty positive about it. It seems clean when I walk in to drop off food or pick up my love one for appointments. I have two key contacts, the director and the liaison, who have both been terrific. I've been able to get information from them, but some miscommunications have occurred with the nursing staff. It's been difficult to reach the nurse right away. There was a bit of a lag in communication there to begin with, but has gotten better. My loved one has not been a big fan of the food. Certain things are good, the soup and the eggs. But the main courses not so much. There really haven't been many activities due to Covid, but that seems to be opening up more. And we're encouraged by the schedule we were shown of what was going on before Covid.

I have no complaints about the tour I had of this community for my loved one. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. The property was clean and very well maintained with lots of great amenities available to everyone. I would recommend it to anyone.

When I toured the community it looked very clean and well maintained. I had concerns during my tour of staff turnover and of how the lack of care seemed to be provided to the current residents. I was not impressed with what I had witnessed and would not consider moving my mom into that facility

staff is wonderful and friendly some the food runs out. but over all it is a good care center And they are slow to respond sometimes.

It was a very big facility and very nice. The only thing is, when you walked in it smelled of urine, badly. Also a lot of double rooms, and not many private rooms. It was more of a hospital setting and I did not like that at all.

This facility is a good fit for what we needed; centrally located, lovely building, and nurses that pass the meds (which is a rare find in assisted living)! The price is high but it is all inclusive and Supportive Living for the State of Illinois. The Lobby is lovely complete with grand piano and working fireplace. The architecture is stunning from the lobby railing and chandelier to the stained glass windows! The staff is very nice. Personal care concerns seem to be mostly related to communication. Constructive criticism: I would like to see more of a Move-In orientation/information, rules, contact information for personnel. Would like to see more activities. The exercise class is on the TV screen and poorly attended. Would like to see more crafts and especially Music Events and entertainment. The cable TV channel line-up is limited and does not include some of the favorites for seniors. The food is improving but they really need a new recipe for sausage gravy! :) I would like to see Care Planning meetings with the family/guardian/resident and the nursing staff. In terms of value; . . they have Deluxe One Bedrooms for a higher price, and regular One bed room apartments. And studio apartments. I would like to see the price go down on the smaller studios. Small studios seem to be all that is left, and not all bathrooms are the same. The pricing structure is two tiered for each size of apartment depending on the level of care the resident needs. Overall, we are very satisfied.

It's nice to have food and house keeping. He doesn't like the food. It smells really bad. First floor especially. We are looming for new places. The price is good and I would recommend to others.

They are a no lift facility. So if a person falls, they may call 911 to lift them. They only clean the bathroom and change the sheets every blue moon. I had to buy a broom and mop so that I can clean. Their food is not too bad. My father just complains about the seasoning.

Hi alot of use have questions... About alot of things.we have a New Boss -_alot of us had questions about the some things,why do some people that live here .why the smell pants wet,or wemon wet on them why can't they have staff clean them!She said that's there rights, okay what about our rights, or alot of use don't like the smoking we can't go out the back because they smoke, can't go in the front there smoking,and what happened to 15 feet away from door .that's good for people to see when they come in to see the home..... Last what about people smoking in there rooms why do it all the times .........where scared what could happens if all goes wrong......fire.....when I asked for me and others .. safety..... She said it's there rights . What about use....Sorry I ment alot of people I made as my friends.... We like to know. From alot of use !!!!

very frustrated with the lack of communication with families of residents, many who are 80+ and need the consult of family members. Site directors do not return phone calls . Changes in policy are announced and not put in writing, I am very concern about their ethical practices regarding the treatment of sharing information with residents and their families. Another concern, is the lack of good dietary standards for seniors with high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.

My mother has been here for 4 years now and starting to struggle more with incontinence and dementia. She also suffered from a stroke 5 years ago and has been in a wheelchair. Because of her weight (200) and willingness to agree to be helped because of the dementia (5 minutes later she agrees) they want to get rid of her because they don't want to take care of her anymore. Conveniently they unplugged her camera during their "assessment" and I have no record of what transpired. Her neighbor across from her is 103 years old and never leaves her apartment and bedridden. They used to feed her when she was able to come out to the dining area. This definitely doesn't smell right and now I have 2 weeks to find somewhere for her. This all happened after a new wellness person came in and a new company bought them. My moms care has definitely suffered with the recent bedbug infestation as well. Not the 1st time either. I used to recommend them but can't do so in good conscious anymore.

This facility has just been purchased by another company and id in the midst of staff changes and perhaps some upgrades Main areas for improvement include: better communication with residents more attention to dietary needs of seniors new floor in dining area a trained wait staff is needed diversity of program activities that consider the demographic make up of residents firm enforcement of smoking regulations

I love the hot tub and pool. They are changing ownership [date removed]. They need to remove the carpet in the dining room

A lot of contract help was brought in. Staff was always short. They made it pretty clear they didn't want to handle anyone with many extra needs because they are assisted care not nursing.

It needs to improve before I would recommend it. If the food were better, and it was better staffed, it would be a better value. But the wait time for meals and the low quality has caused my loved ones to eat out/cook a lot more than expected.

The building was always clean and they did laundry pretty regularly but I sometimes had to call to remind them and ask them to clean my dad's apartment. Common spaces were always clean. The nursing staff and front door staff were a 5, the administration would be a 4 and the aids were a 2....dad frequently reported issues with the aids. We had some challenges during the time my dad was there, but I think that's bc my dad required more support than they were able to offer so this is reflected in my scores

They seem short staffed. The community is very clean and the staff members there are very friendly. When it comes to the care services, our loved one needs more help than what she receives. The food there is very good and the activities seem good - although my mom doesn't really participate in them. It is better priced than some but still seem high.

What our family likes the most about the Grand at Twin Lakes community is just how clean it is as well as all the different activities they have going on for the residents to participate in. However, the meals that are prepared and the staffing could use improvements.
