It was such a blessing that a spot opened up for Mom in this location. The staff welcomed us with open arms. When we walked in on moving day, they had a cute personalized sign welcoming my mom to her new home. The Executive Director was always just a phone call or email away. The Business Coordinator has a heart of gold. She was patient and kind in helping me with the financials. The Concierge is always there with a wonderful smile. I know that I can depend on her for help with mom's appointments and delivering messages. The Programs Coordinator takes care of everything that mom might need for the day-to-day stuff. The dining staff have always been open to suggested food items to make mom feel at home. The doctors/nurses are phenomenal with my mother, who is not always the easiest to deal with! Even the custodians go out of their way to do what they can to make life easier for my mom. And...MY quality of life has improved ten-fold since making Brookdale her home.

I feel so blessed that [name removed] found us this place of living (Brookdale South) I love the residents like sisters and brothers! Also, the staff are like family!! Our care takers are so sweet and kind like having our own children around. We are truly blessed to be here!

We toured more for respite care as opposed to longer term care, but it was absolutely wonderful. As far as luxury, it was just absolutely gorgeous. They offered a lot of activities. I observed one room with residents singing along with a guitar player. There was a lot of one-one-one going on. It seemed they had a lot of employees for the clients. But we decided that home care was a better option for us at the time.

Mom came to Brookdale at a time when she needed some extra help with care and the luxury of not having to worry about meals and housekeeping. She immediately made new friends and enjoyed many of the activities. My son and I celebrated most of the big holidays with them, and enjoyed the festive setting and delicious food that was served. The care that the residents received, from what I could see, was very nice. We had her moved to Silvergate's assisted living san marcos facility due to her worsening Alzheimer's and I will always be grateful and appreciative of how well she was taken care of at both facilities. Have been here for 2 weeks and it's awesome!! People and facilities are second to none!! Everything I need they have here!! Reputation is excellent!!

Our loved one was on the assisted living side which we were totally involved in, but as her health progressed she needed to be moved into the memory care. Everything about this place was amazing. The executive director was always out and about talking to the residents, and when families would come visit he was always with them and getting to know them. He cooked all the food, and during the holidays with covid, he set up tents outside and cooked barbecue for the residents and let the families drive by and wave to everyone. The workers were all just fabulous, and the activities director on the assisted living side even though all of covid was very hands on. The people loved her and she loved them. The lady who ran the memory care side was just as wonderful, they had great activities and they would bring the memory care residents over to the assisted living side for special events. The entire place, the people and workers were absolutely amazing. The meals were delicious, there was a wide variety to choose from. She always had fresh salads, fruits and vegetables. The only down fall is the value, on the assisted living it is all inclusive, however on the memory care side it is a la cart.

The staff was very concerned and caring for the resident. My loved one thought the world of her daily caretakers. She mentioned how sweet they were and how she loved them so. She loved the food overall, with a few particular favorites. And the staff made sure she received those favorites on a regular basis. At first I thought it was really expensive until I realized how much care they were providing and how much I would have been doing at home. So it's definitely a great value.

My mom has been very satisfied with Brookdale San Marcos South. It has been a temporary situation from the get go and the staff here know that. The rooms are older. but they are a good size. They have kept them as up to date as they could. The staff are very willing to work with you on what you need. My mom is very happy here and I would recommend them to others looking.

In general, you need to understand the financials, know what you will need to provide when it comes to essentials. The communication between the staff and the family is good. I would recommend this community to others

The staff members at the Brookdale Shadowlake community, are just wonderful and the food they serve is great. Up until covid their parties were excellent we always had a blast when we visited and our loved one really liked participating in them.

We chose Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe because of the marketing lady, she was very forthcoming, she took all the time in the world with me, and she did not hesitate in answering any questions that I had. The other staff members I met here at the same time were all the same and I was just very pleased. The room sizes are on the smaller side but I think they are good for the needs. They are private rooms but have jack and jill bathrooms. I would tell others that they are not afraid to answer any questions and the value for the money is comparable to anything else. It is a great facility and I would absolutely recommend.

It's a very unique experience. The environment is more like a home environment and the ratio of residence to caregivers is an idea. The community feels more like a family and you have 24-hour access to your family member. All the meals were home-cooked. I would recommend this community to others.

I wanted to send my thanks to all the people taking care of my mom at Brookdale in San Marcos. Whether it has been in person, through email, or on video calls, the staff has been great to me. [name removed] has been an angel for setting up weekly FaceTime calls with me and my mother as i live several states away. I greatly appreciate this and it means the world to me to have these video calls with my mother!! I thank everyone there who has helped my mother and my family through all of this.

Excellent Rating [removed] Felicitas owner,[name removed] takes an interest in each of her residents to ensure their care needs are met. The home is designed for resident's care with bathrooms for each of the master orsemi-private bedrooms with ADA roll-in showers & toliet. The atmosphere and ambience of the home is beautiful & peaceful.I loved the outdoor patio & garden for residents to enjoy. I appreciate the safety precaution of meeting or interviewing guests of home behind plexi-glass shield at desk to exercise safey precautions from germs. I have reserved a room in this facility for my loved one with effective move in date of [date removed].

Excellent and compassionate care for our mother, grandmother, and GG. She moved all the way from Boston and a very different culture and the staff have been amazing to her, even during those times that her dementia and anxiety show a pretty difficult side of her personality. This community was easy to work with and was very clean. We were unable to place our loved one in this facility but the facility was nice and the staff was extremely friendly. They were extremely thorough. I would recommend Brookdale.

We had to move our parent into Brookdale in April 2019, wonderful experience getting her into the facility. Due to a sudden health decline, we were able to fully move our parent into Brookdale in less than a week, which was a huge blessing as we could no longer provide 24-hour health care at home. [Name removed] and a majority of the nursing staff have been there over 5 years and are extremely professional and caring. They treat us like their own family. Facility is very clean and hygienic.

My neighbor live there for 3 1/2 years and receive the best care! Awesome and caring staff will make this seem like home!o

My mother has lived at Brookdale Creekside in Plano, TX for the last 5 years. The staff has been helpful, kind, and oh so patient! The care they have given Mom has been consistent and much better than anything I could have accomplished at our own home. The staff celebrates birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and special occasions with the residents, often decorating and using live music. I appreciate the religious services, family support groups, field trips, and great communication. The calendar of Brookdale events is always full and varied with opportunities for families to come to the center to participate in activities with their loved one. The center itself is kept neat, clean, and smelling good by a staff that is responsive to the inevitable senior mishaps. The environment is warm and inviting, tastefully decorated. Medications are administered consistently and correctly and when different levels of care happen they are managed with ease. Flexibility was important to me and the residents are allowed to come and go with family members. My mom has come to our Plano home for all kinds of activities, especially enjoying festive Easter meals, Christmas Day present openings, and Texas A & M football games from our living room! The one area I would say could use some improvement would be the meals-usually quite good, but just not consistent. Overall I am very pleased with the director, the facility, and the loving staff...they really do treat your family member like their own! I am blessed my mom is safe, close by, and being treated well with dignity! Thank you Brookdale Creekside for making this difficult time in our mother's life more enjoyable and manageable...your outstanding staff have been a lifesaver!!
