The facility is excellent. The people are really friendly and very helpful. We couldn't ask for anything better.

Brookdale is a wonderful place to be! We have great neighbors! We have activities that everyone can participate in. Our weekly happy hours are very happy! The entire staff is great You can't find any better

Very nice staff and very pretty decor. Dining room is lovely, lots of fun.

Smaller community. Older building, but friendly cozy atmosphere. Contact was great and gave useful advice. Not the price range indicated on our sheet. Told there were semi-private rooms, but they only had private.

This is a smaller facility with a family feel to it. The rooms are smaller than my mom wants and the price is high for the little amount of space. If your loved one has dementia, this place has doors that are locked at all times and a staff member must let everyone in or out which is good for their safety. The staff was friendly, and I left informed after my tour.

This community was our second choice. The staff seemed so upbeat and the community looked well taken care of. They did seem to offer some nice activities. The community we chose just seemed to fit within my loved ones budget better.

Brookdale San Marcos is very clean and comfortable. The food is really good, it is served restaurant style with nice linens and plenty of choices on the menu. I wish they would encourage the resident to mingle more at meal time. Encourage them to change tables to make new friends, my Mom thinks she is assigned to the one table she always sits at. I would like to have more activities for the residents and to encourage my mom to participate more. My mom needs to have help to attend the different activities because she is not as ambulatory as some of the other residents. If she is not personally encouraged and helped to the activities she will just lay in her bed because she is not sure of herself. The staff has called me to let me know she doesn't want to get out of bed and then I call and tell her she needs to get up and get going. They offer Bingo twice a week, and a couple other activities, but again the activities are located far away from her room. They could use more musical entertainment. They provide outdoor activities, feeding the birds, and residents can take walks around the community. They provide transportation for trips to Dr.s, and shopping. They do not transport to Dr's appointments outside of San Marcos area. The staff is very friendly and really sweet. My Mom really loves her nice, huge apartment. We feel Mom is very comfortable here at Brookdale San Marcos.

My tour of this community was a good one. Everyone was nice, and kind to my family. The staff I met was kind, and cordial. From what I saw the community looked nice, and everything was clean. My questions were answered, and overall my tour went well.

When I was searching for a good community for my mother, I came across Brookdale Lewisville. It was a good place to tour, the tour guide was friendly and able to answer any questions that I had. It was a good experience to tour, but I found another community that for my mother's needs a little better.

This community looked beautiful when we visited. The rates were good for just an apartment, however there are additional charges for any additional services required. I would say this community might be worth taking a look at.

This was a great place for assisted living. Small and home like. The staff seemed very engaged in the residents. However my Mom said it felt too much like a " nursing home" to her so we will be looking at independent living facilities.

We had a good experience during our tour of this community. They were extremely helpful, and kind.Everything went very well. The staff was very kind to my family, and myself. They were very good with their follow up, to make sure we were okay.

This was a nice community, it was one of the place we were considering moving my mother too. From what I saw everything well maintained. The staff was kind and friendly. There were pretty informative and answered my questions. It was a little more expensive for our budget, but it is a lovely community.

My tour of this facility went very well, I was really impressed with this community. The facility looked great. Out of all the community we looked at this was the best. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The residents love the food, they have a lovely chef here. This is an outstanding community.

The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to be helpful. They seem to really care that my loved one would be happy at Brookdale and feel at home.

So far they are doing a good job. The only exception is for the meals, and the meals have improved. The staff is excellent, and very helpful.

Overall things have gone well with Emeritus at San Marcos! They do a great job keeping everything clean and nice looking, and the staff have all been very friendly. The director, Dean, is excellent and the RN, Brittany, has also been a pleasure to work with! They do an excellent job taking care of the residents!

This is a great facility but it does not have a memory care area. Linda McLaughlin is fantastic. My concern with this location is that my mother would be left alone in her room.
