I find this community – is very welcoming – accommodating.

I'm holding off on 5 stars until Mom is fully settled in, but have been exceptionally impressed with the level of compassion, care and attention to detail in this intimate private pay community. I hope Mom doesn't outlive her scant assets - a distinct possibility - but in the interim, I'm confident her quality of life will improve dramatically. Having worked in elder care for 30 years, I'm feeling very good about this decision.

We had an excellent tour of the facilities. Staff friendly and saw activities going on. I liked the very visible list of activities for the month and that day. We also met the administrator of the facility. We were impressed with the maintenance staff area that we passed by on our tour. The independent living apartments are old and are much in need of a face lift. We did see that a couple apartments were being renovated and were told more were going to be redone. This would be a top contender as a selection for my parents

I toured here for my loved one, and I liked Heritage Oaks. I thought that the people there were wonderful, and I thought that my loved one would appreciate the smaller setting of the place. The woodwork was dark, and the rooms were small, which gave a cozy feeling, but my loved one opted for a place that was closer to me.

While looking at facilities, this was my second pick. The only reason why I didn’t go with the community is that they weren’t willing to negotiate on the pricing. This facility is okay and it looks like a standard assisted living community. It seems to be more institutional than other places but it was still nice. The administrator was fine and she was willing to make adaptations for the things my mom needed. I would recommend this facility to other families.

My parents have been living at Heritage Woods of Plainfield for over two months now. We really like the management staff who have been and remain very helpful. All the staff show care and attention to our parents especially when Mom was experiencing the impact of cancer treatment plus she has many fears / anxieties. They have a psychologist that comes to the community to meet with residents and we are grateful. They also have foot doctor that comes for residents and there is an audiology program that we hope parents can get into participate. The activities allow residents to get a good routine for socializing and my dad made a friend the very first day he moved into the community. My Parents are regulars at bingo are special socials for holidays such as Thanksgiving. On Friday I joined my parents for a big thanksgiving buffet with other families of residents. My mom was actually smiling and enjoying herself now that she is regaining her strength. One disappointment is when we toured in April there was a fitness room and when we moved parents in September the fitness room was eliminated and we found out when dad went to find it. They do have a few group exercise activities but there is not always a staff leader for the group activity. This means my dad is not doing it because he needs consistent routine. Another disappointment was we learned that each December the rent increases and apparently that is for all Heritage Woods communities. We preferred Plainfield over Bolingbrook simply because Heritage Woods Bolingbrook was under going mgmt staff turnover earlier this year when we were looking for a new home for parents. It is probably stable now.

The major face of this belongs to [Removed]. He is known primarily for kindness. [Removed] who manages the program is very good at follow up with residents.

I like that they gave me a full-fledged tour when I visited. But the really bad thing was that they were completely full. This community was a little darker looking with darker fabric colors. It wasn’t really bright and cheerful as other places. They had a different style of furnishings compared to other places, it was a really country feel to it. It looked nice and they have nice rooms. The one thing I didn’t like is that the rooms didn’t have an open concept. The rooms were petitioned off and felt boxed off.

This is a nice looking community. The people I met were nice. The rooms at this community were smaller than the ones at the community we chose.

Lacey Creek Supportive Living is a beautiful brand new facility. Mom is settling in and still acclimating to her new surroundings. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is very welcoming to us when we come to visit mom. The staff is very friendly and attentive to my mom's care needs. The staff is easy to communicate any questions or concerns regarding my mom's needs. I have not had a chance to dine there with my mom but I've seen the meals prepared and the meals they serve look good. I love the place, people are out and about and look happy. They do offer activities for the residents. They also provide transportation to go to doctor appointments, shopping trips, and other excursions.There is no sitting area in the front but there is a nice patio area in the back to get out and enjoy the fresh air. I would recommend this community to see if it's the right fit for their loved one.

The tour went really well and I was really impressed with the community. It bothered me that they are two stories and in a large building. I don't think my parent would be able to navigate through the elevators.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my sister and i have no complaints of how things had went for her. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked that they had a lot of great amenities for the residents as well as a spacious dinning experience. It was just not the right fit for us in the end decision.

My father has recently made the move into this place and I have no complaints of how things are going for him so far. He has really been enjoying his new living environment and making a few friends with the other residents. They have a nice selection of activities to keep them busy throughout the week and a tasty menu for the meal times. The staff have been attentive to his needs and have really made the transition easy for him. Overall it has worked out just fine and I would recommend it to anyone.

Mom is still struggling with being placed here but she seems to be improving. She is starting to relax a little more and starting to socialize and meet the residents. The staff has been very friendly and patient and kind.They responded very promptly when the call button rings which is important. The community itself appears clean and well maintained. I'm not sure how the food really is mom says that it is bland and tasteless but that could just be here and her own opinion I've never had a meal there so I couldn't say either way.

This community seems to have a good setup for Alzheimer's residents. The staff have been friendly and attentive. They have plenty of staff on site. The food is good and the community is well maintained. They offer a lot of activities such as games to play, singalongs, movie night and they had a luau. I would recommend this community.

I have no complaints of how things had went for my tour of this community for my loved one. The staff where on time to our tour and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. I liked the open floor plan and thought they had a lot of great amenities for all of the residents. Overall it has been a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Our experience has changed and we have hospice helping with my mom. The staff at Greenbriar Village are doing everything they can to try to make my mom comfortable. We have had no problems with them.

The grounds were lovely here flowers and plants everywhere with a lovely courtyard for sitting. The property inside was lovely very nicely decorated however I did not care for the fact the memory care unit was much different than the assisted living and independent living wings. The memory care unit had a basement feel to it the rooms were small and not as well lit as the other rooms. It almost gave the feel of a local institution. The staff was friendly and helpful

My mom recently moved into White Oaks at Heritage Woods of Huntley. The staff there is extremely friendly and has gone out of their way to help my mom feel comfortable. The programming is more extensive than other sites that I visited, with activities throughout the day, including outings and special performances that are brought in for the residents. The layout is conducive to a resident with memory care needs and the facility is kept clean and well-maintained. Additionally, the new director, [Removed], is working hard to get to know all of the families and ensure that each resident's needs are being met!
