It's a beautiful facility, a lot like Arden Court. A little more personal and it's not a four-beds-in-a-room kind of place.

I visited The Fountains in October and found the employees pleasant and helpful. The apartment I visited was clean.

My mom seems to like the activities. She just played bunco today and she was all happy. I do like the friendliness and openness of the staff there. They seem to know everybody by name and when you're visiting they recognize who you are and who you are there to see. My mom said the food is pretty good. Based on the cost, benefits, and the location, Heritage woods had the best value of all the places we saw. It was close to my mom's friends.

Heritage Woods is a very nice community and we love it. Our loved one needs memory care and because they had no opening yet they allowed us to move into assisted living until a memory care slot opens. They keep the community in immaculate condition. They offer a great value compared to the previous community our loved one was in. The activities director is just wonderful but they could use a little more activities. I think one reason they don't have as many activities is because more people are independent and some even have their own car. We are paying around $3,700 a month. We really love Heritage Woods and are pleased with what they are doing.

They could encourage the residents to participate in the activities a little more instead of just giving up. It is a very nice community that is very well maintained. The staff is really friendly and they offered a great price. It seems like they could be a little more professional when it comes to the lease agreements, if any changes occur it should be reprinted with the proper corrections.

Green Tree is a very good community that was really accommodating with us and our situation. The room is very accommodating for our loved one and they made changes to better suit us before we were even committed to them. Our loved one is in a wheel chair and they actually removed the vanity cabinet and counter and just put a sink with it being open on the bottom so it allows her to roll underneath it. Being able to do that really makes it so much easier and more convenient for her to take care of what she needs. The location is very convenient for our family and is only about a mile away from family. The setting itself is really pretty and the activities seem to be really something. She is already enjoying the Euchre tournaments. Each resident has a pendant on them that allows them to call for help; we had an issue with hers one time but have not had any more issues. They really helped us keep the cost down by a moderating their services chart. Because she did need help getting in and out of the shower but did not need help showering instead of charging for a full shower service they only charged for the assistance of getting in and out. We are very happy with Green Tree and would recommend them to anyone.

We are very happy with Green Tree they are very accommodating and are very helpful when it comes to making a decision. The staff has been really friendly and helpful. The community is really pretty and the location is very convenient.

Overall a good experience. Mom is in assisted living and they do a good job of getting her out to meals and daily activities. The apartment is well sized for her needs. There is a diverse menu andcalso some ala carte items if the main course is not desired. Light housekeeping is also provided. The nursing staff is very available to talk about care and concerns and respond in a reasonable period to the call button.

Carriage Crossing of Arcola has our entire family's endorsement. After two months, my skeptical Mom said it is a nice place to stay. Nice begins with management and works its way through a very comfortable facility with every staff member we've met. Management and staff are kind, friendly and go out of their way to help with all requests. Common areas are clean and welcoming. Mom's room is spacious, particularly the walk-in closet! Carpeting and tile are kept clean and stain free. Management communication of system changes and upcoming events is exceptional. There are many activities beyond physical therapy, and include bingo, therapy dog visits, trips to area points of interest and entertainment visits from local musicians. Tea and meal time are social events, where neighbors meet and perhaps later watch TV, build a puzzle or take a stroll outside on a comfortable day. I particularly like the central court yard for its birds and beautiful flowers. Carriage Crossing grounds are spacious and well maintained to create an open, rural feel. Security is comfortably maintained. Medical staff are attentive to the slightest health changes and communicate needs immediately. Carriage Crossing is a good value, if not the best care facility in the area, bar none.

The only real issues is one or two of the night staff. Other than that Heritage woods and staff are lovely.

Sometimes difficult to get to the right staff member. Laundry return can be an issue. Mother in law attends most of the activities. She seems happy there.

In the beginning everyone was very kind and helpful. However, after my brother was living there for a short time, I received a list of directors along with their contact information. I tried contacting different people for various reasons, and the calls always went to voicemail so I also sent emails however 99% of the time I received no return call or contact. The girl that cleans the rooms does a terrible job. She never dusts anything and the floor is seldom cleaned. Also, his room is very small. On the positive side, everyone is nice to my brother and they have daily activities to keep the residents busy. This is helpful for him.

Everyone, staff and residents, that I met were very friendly. The dining area looked very inviting when I visited.

Nice facility and food is good. They have a nice apartment and activities. Aid staff is good but there are lapses at times. My mom walks the nice garden often.

Overall it has been good. It would have been nice to have a sheet explaining procedures such as leaving the facility, trash pickup, housekeeping, telephones etc. The meals that I've seen have been disappointing, but my mom hasn't really complained. My brother was not able to move in as planned. They have allowed her to stay in the 2 bedroom.

Very friendly staff that has worked very hard to make my mother feel welcome and comfortable. Communication between the nursing/medical staff and the residents/families could be a little better.

Food is higher in carbs. I am in a studio apartment which is fine except I am a writer and it's not large enough. Most folks don't mind. It's a very pleasant place to live.

My mom enjoyed her Respite stay at Heritage Woods (Oaks) in Huntley. They have 3 apartments for respite care.

At Mom's mental state the place is fine. But if she was 100% I think she would be bored. Not a lot going on from what I have seen. I would recommend Greenbriar Village
