I toured this community and it was good! Very nice place, but more expensive than several other options.

We chose Independent Village of Greenwood because of the large size of their apartments as well as the location. I think that making sure the carpets are cleaned before new residents move in would be helpful. Overall we would recommend this facility to others looking.

We chose Traditions at West Park Place because they made the experience of moving my dad very easy. WE looked at a lot of places and I felt like their services were best. They go from independent living all the way to memory care all within the same complex. Memory care is in a separate section, but the same complex. My dad was straddling independent living and assisted, he is on a floor that is half and half. So if he started to trend towards assisted living he will not have to move, he can stay in the same apartment. That is a big plus. They were so helpful, they rented us furniture in the unit which he can purchase or replace himself when he wants. That was helpful because he was moving from Florida. They also have a full kitchen with a stove in the units except for memory care. He is still able to make himself his own food if he wants too. I would definitely recommend them to others looking, but talk to them about the food situation. It is either great or horrible, there is no in between. Other than that, the people and all the staff are fabulous. The location is great, It is near the mall, grocery store, medical facilities etc.

I picked this community because It's close to my home. The food is sort of bland, and could improve a bit. My advice to other families, is it takes awhile for your loved one to get use to new surroundings.

We chose Heritage Woods of South Elgin because of the convenient location, they accept Medicaid, and just the overall gut feeling. I toured 7 places and I got the best feeling here. The director of sales is very nice and friendly and gets back to you in a timely manner. Same about management, they would meet with me when I had any concerns. The one negative thing that happened after we moved in was the entire nursing staff left, so there was just one nurse there that we had worked with. They had to get people from corporate to come help while they were looking for new staff. Unfortunately it was a short experience for us, but I would recommend them to others looking.

I believe it is a good place to be. With any place, you have to pay attention to what your family member is telling you and weigh that with reports from the staff. My loved one seems to just want to go home, although not necessarily because of Cedar Grove. To me, it seems like a satisfactory place that I wouldn't mind being myself if I were in need of that type of care.

My dad is very happy at White Oaks, and he loves the food. There were some small hurdles when I first moved him, but they were sorted out timely and since then there haven't been any issues.

The facility at White Oaks was a little bit older than others we looked at, but still very nice. My loved one just needed more care than they were able to provide.

l have had my loved one(s) in a few different communities and all senior living communities have issues. You have to keep your eye on them. Sometimes staff is stretched thin and calls don't get answered right away. It's not continual and it's not always bad, but sometimes they would ring and it can take upwards of 15 minutes for a staff member to show up. Heritage Woods is an immaculate facility; everything is contemporary and up to date. They put a lot of thought into areas for the residents to sit and enjoy their surroundings. The courtyard is also beautiful.

The community is responsive with answering our questions. The management staff are adequate in giving us advice when needed or asked. There are three meals a day and the residents have choices for the to choose from. The community seems to have staff turnover a bit higher; however, this is understandable as it is a tough job.

This is a good facility. Sometimes mom has to remind them about her meds. The food is very good, but they need more fruits and vegetables. The facility is generally clean, rooms are a little less clean. Housekeeping is once a week, but I sometimes have to vacuum or clean the litter box after they've been in. Communication with the family is very good. They just started using an app for communication and updates, which is helpful. I think a meal calendar on the app would be a great addition. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Our loved one really likes Carriage Court of Grove City because it feels more homey, it is not over populated and the location is very convenient for our family. The quality and quantity of the meals is fantastic and our loved one does not always participate in the activities but they do offer different things to keep the residents busy

I toured this facility and it was great! Very clean and the rooms were larger than most of our other options. If they had a room available, we probably would have moved our loved one here! Definitely one of our top choices.

The most significant factor for my relative is the socialization aspect of the independent living environment. There are so many activities to participate in that I often hear the comment that "I'm too busy." There is comfort in knowing that the individual is getting well-balanced meals and is being monitored constantly for health and safety. I feel the staff is compassionate and truly concerned about the residents. I would like to see the resident's apartments kept a little cleaner.

We love Carriage Crossing! The people who work there are wonderful, competent, and kind. I think because of budget cuts and Covid, they are a little understaffed. But they are very open to communication and try to share responsibility/partnership with the family, keeping the family updated on changes and behavior. I think they really strive to treat each person like they would want their famly member to be treated. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. It's very clean and pleasant, just like your own home.

I have lived here for 2 1/2 years. I consider it my home forever. It's such a beautiful place, there's a grocery near by. Everything is so convenient Also love we have the nicest people working here.

Two main reasons we picked Heritage Woods is one based on location - it is very clean to our family and easy for everyone to come and visit, and second off the financial aspect of it - we found it to be less expensive then others. We really like the activities they have going on, the staff are very encouraging when it comes to getting our loved one involved not only in the physical activities but the socializing aspect of it all. We do understand and realize it is not the communities fault but at times they do seem short staffed - and while it has been nothing of serious concern sometimes their response time to our loved ones needs is a little slow.

It is a clean community, and the apartment seems to be pretty clean. the people are pretty friendly and nice. My loved one has no complaints about the food. There was only one, issue with no one being at the front desk, and I waited a long time to get buzzed in. That is not there fault, it could have to do morse with staffing issues but it would be nice if they could answer the door quicker. Overall, the place is clean, newer than other places, and the staff is really nice. I would recommend.

The staff members have been nothing but friendly to us and the location of the community is really convenient for us. They do a really good job with the activities and from our understanding the meals are good. Based on our experience with Independence Village of Greenwood we would recommend them to other families .
