For the most part it's all been good. Some of the food could be better but overall she likes it. I would recommend it to others.

We chose the Grand Victorian because the facility was beautiful and the resident rooms were bright and airy. Some of the common areas like the cafe could use a little more attention but overall the physical space was uplifting. The residents themselves were very friendly and accepting of a new face. My mother-in-law, [name removed] was given a diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia shortly after arriving and went downhill rapidly. This is where the staff really began to shine. The nursing administrator, [name removed] has been tremendously supportive and her staff have gone above and beyond to make sure [name removed] is safe. They check on her frequently and offer genuine care and affection, even stopping by on their off hours to see her. We especially appreciate [name removed], [name removed]and [name removed]. The dining is what you would expect from an institution that needs to consider so many dietary restrictions so we completely understand why it did not rate high. [name removed] is now on hospice but we are grateful that she will spend her final months in such a warm and caring place.

My mom and dad were some of the first residents at Bardwell. It took a while for Bardwell to hire the right people in administration. They are very good with communication with our family regarding my dad's dementia and plans to move forward. They always have something going on for the residents. The food is marginal, but I feel it is acceptable considering how many different types of tastes are out there. They are as happy as they can be at Bardwell.

The food is really good. Over all I'm pleased feel like I made the right choice. I have and definitely would recommend Carriage Crossing to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

The people seem very nice, patient, and willing to help. Her move there happened very suddenly and they were able to get her in on short notice but it was a little chaotic at first. It got straightened out quickly though.

Maid service is very inconsistent and not very good, dining room staff are nice and the meals mainly quite good.

we went out to eat, mother in law likes it ok, but no sugar free dessert! Father in law does not like the food at all. Father in law does not like it compared to Parkside. Overall, very friendly community, beautiful outdoor courtyard and highly recommend! Mother in law was able to bring her cat!

This was not the right choice for my MIL when she was there. She needed much more care than respite or even assisted care. She wanted and expected hospital level care and even the nursing home where we moved her was "not right" with her expectations of care.

The facility was brand new and very nice the staff was helpful but needed more experience the food was great. When my wife was there it hadn't been open very long so it's hard for me to draw any conclusions on the facility now

They were courteous and informative. Facility clearness was well kept. Somewhat friendly with the exception of few racial issues but resolved. Quality of care, knowledgeable attentive and caring. Staff was amazing in most cases and welcoming. Food was average. Great activities need a few more for dementia and Alzheimer's patients activities. Priced somewhat affordable considering dads diagnosis I would only like to add my dad was the only person of color and had I known this I probably would have chosen a different place with some variation of culture that could be understood...we had a few incidents but we understood!! Still grateful!

I feel the place is fine. Mom won't be happy anywhere , but they do take care of things. Front desk always cheerful. I don't interact with the staff often. But I think things are going as well as can be expected for a 95 year old. Looks like there is a variety of activities, but mother refuses to participate.

I absolutely love the staff and residents. Everyone is so kind. 17 people introduced themselves to me on my 1st day. The place is clean and well taken care of. You can either be alone or see lots of people. I am very happy here.

The staff and administration make us all feel like family. My dad passed away almost a year ago. Recently I had to drop off the keys to my dad's apartment we found in a box. They all knew me and had great conversations even though we no longer have anyone there.

Very clean, light, and bright. Staff are friendly, helpful, and communicate well with the family. They often have events where families are welcome to join, with food., activities, and music.

It's hard to write anything negative about The Village of Westerville as their staff were both attentive and kind. The place is large which is both good and bad. Its good as they have a large group of residents which makes meeting new people easy. It's bad because staffing such a large facility can be tricky. I say this because during our tour we noticed an odor in the main common area. It was clear to us that one of the residents had an accident but we didn't notice any staff trying to find the source. I know accidents happen, but not seeing their staff investigating was a bit of a letdown. Also, with the facility being so large, renovations take longer. They are slowly fixing the place up which is good as it is dated in areas. My mother's 3 day stay was good. Her only complaint was the food was overdone and hard to chew at times. In closing, we opted to go with a similar community that is newer and it ended up being less expensive.

My mom was only in Bardwell for about 4 months. when she was there the staff took very good care of her and her needs.

Attentive staff. Clean facilities. Food quality above average, quantity adequate. Staff and management strive to please. Cost for stay more reasonable than other local facilities

Bardwell is nice. The staff is friendly. This was the one place that had independent living apartments which is what I wanted. Activities are here but not well attended. There aren't any on Saturday and Sunday. Food is the biggest issue. It's mediocre at best. Sometimes there are two choices, not always. Lunch and dinner are scheduled for specific times but always served late to wait for stragglers. Most folks don't like it and it seems like it's for staff convenience. As to cost, you're all too expensive

Best: food, worst: nursing staff notifying us that dad was throwing up in his meals...which was cancer

Our experience was not top knotch. Mom often asked for soup but rarely did they serve it maybe 3-4 times a month. Care takers tended to tell mom to try doing it herself and then walk away [fee removed] a month for a roof over head... Meals that could be improved and assistance with easy tasks could definitely be better. Fellow residents were saying the same thing as we personally know other families that have their loved ones living there. Convenience for family to visit is a plus. They have large rooms for gatherings. The Dr. Appointments, drop off and pick up could take as long as 3-4 hours. Elderly people having to wait sitting in their wheelchair unacceptable. Housekeeping is on a schedule but it's their schedule not willing to accommodate a resident taking a shower. They prefer to show up as they feel. 9 am one week 1 pm the next not knowing when they'd arrive irritated Mom. Little things but when life is short small accommodations make life happier for residents. Mom passed on [date removed] and our family is grateful she had a place but our expected care was less than occurred. If she hadn't passed we were seriously looking for another place of residence.
